Posted Sunday at 04:12 PM2 days No. I'm sorry the Gators couldn't knock the Tigers out this week, but I think Oregon vs Penn State is number two vs number three. I don't care what the voters say. Oregon has looked much better thus far. LSU is living off the fumes of an over rated Clemson road win and for some reason a very pedestrian Florida win that Lagway and Billy gave to them. A pick six and a total of five interceptions....Billy has turned the light of hope......never mind. Not the point of this thread. Blowout your opponent this week and that game in two weeks will be as big as your victory over Ohio State a year ago. It's going to be a great game and a great visual. My only question is if Oregon is going to go Darth Vader black to counter the Whiteout. I'm jealous but excited for any of you that are going to the game. Go Ducks!!

Go Ducks!!Many of the highly preseason-touted QBs in Dixie have failed to play as advertised.Cade Klubnik, Archie, Lagway threw 5 picks yesterday 😧, even LSU's Nussmeier has not played to the level expected preseason.Gunnar Stockton came threw 😁 yesterday with a late and great TD throw and a toss for a 2-point conversion. Ditto Marcel Reed. And how about Ole Miss backup QB Trinidad Chambliss, who transferred in from Ferris State and won a shootout against Boise State transfer Taylen Green and Arkansas. 0-2 Notre Dame's trip to Arkansas could be the nail in the Irish PO coffin. Other than at LSU, is there a D in the SEC?

Well... 4 picks one was a pick6. LSU's defense was bailed out by Florida's penalties. One took an 80yard td off the board.

I like the offense at Oregon, but you guys just about always have an explosive offense. From Chip Kelly to Mark Helfrich to Kenny Dillingham and now Will Stein. Whoever we get I hope they have input but hire an offensive coordinator. Billy Napier has tried to run the offense while being the head coach. You can tell too, there are misalignments every game. False starts and absolutely no schematic adjustments when the opposing defense jams up the middle and disguises any sort of zone coverage.Lagway has regressed dramatically. Napier didn't teach him how to do anything but make one read.

Neither team had over 350 yards. The difference was a pick six from Lagway and the four other interceptions that LSU didn't match. Vanderbilt actually looks pretty stout. They just don't get any attention because they're Vanderbilt. They held South Carolina to seven points. Sellers went out in the second of that game, but it was still impressive.

I have a beef with Georgia and Penn State having played one more game, against an excellent opponent, than Notre Dame last season, and that ND played four G5 opponents in 2024. I also have a beef with an AD having the same voting power as a conference commissioner, at least the Power 2 commissioners. Chris Ash is not doing the job as Al Golden's replacement at DC.
Yesterday at 09:51 AM1 day Author No. Is Notre Dame in if they win out? I don't see many quality wins on their schedule. Their best hope is Miami and Texas A&M to win out so they can say they only lost by four combined points to two top ten teams .

SC should take care of business at home Saturday against Michigan State. Then the Trojans play at Illinois, bye, host Michigan, and then play ND on the road. ND will be rooting for Illinois to win at Indiana on Saturday. This Saturday, Notre Dame hosts (and likely hoists) Purdue, plays at Arkansas against a prolific Hogs O, hosts a now off-the-radar Boise State, has a week off, and then hosts SC. SC is not happy with the timing of ND's 2nd bye week, and is not happy that, in addition to traveling to South Bend, it also travels to Illinois, Nebraska, and Northwestern. 2026 is the last game scheduled in the long-running series. ND makes more money from NBC with SC on its schedule. The SC series helps ND recruit So-Cal. Games played in South Bend are but one game where SC has to travel East.SC decides to cancel ND, and I would understand, and I also believe that the cancellation would not shake the very foundation of CFB.

On one hand I'm sad to see traditional rivalries die. But on the other USC has a tough conference slate every year. Notre Dame can make their own schedule and still get their own reserved seat at the playoff table Florida is cancelling planned series vs ASU, NCSU, and Washington due to going to a 9 game conference slate next year. I'm disappointed because I live close to ASU and would've loved to see Florida come out here. I don't get many chances to see them live now that I'm 2,000 miles away and they don't leave SEC territory. But with nine SEC games along with FSU and Miami coming onto the schedule more, that's 11 P4 matchups. When the playoff inevitably expands I think we'll get a three loss or maybe even four loss SEC/B1G squad in. Personally I think three should be the maximum.
18 hours ago18 hr No. Speaking of not being happy with BIG scheduling: Both Ohio State and Penn State (the BIG's favored children) have bye weeks before playing the northwest teams. Adding insult to injury, the favored Nittany Lions play at home following their bye week with Oregon traveling 3,000 miles. Talk about stacking the deck.Oh well, I think Lanning uses it to dial in his boys and we win in spite of the BIG powers that be.Go Ducks!
