Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted November 25, 2021 The "Great Pumpkin," Dee Andros (1965-75 below) handled the Ducks well, but had other issues... Oregon State was too big a jump for Craig Fertig. (1976-79 below) Joe Avezzano's (1980-84 below) players didn't have their heart in it. Dave Kragthorpe, (1985-90 below) thought he could stand up to the Ducks... Jerry Pettibone, (1991-96 below) believed he could compete at upper levels... Mike Riley, (1997-98, 2003-2014) often took the bait. (Below) Dennis Erickson, (1999-2002 below) didn't keep an eye on things that came back to bite him. Gary Anderson, (2015-17 below) just could not wear orange and disappeared. Jonathan Smith, (2018-Present, below) is proving to be pretty clever... Let's play smarter! Go Ducks! Just Ducky No. 3 Share Posted November 25, 2021 Let’s also coach smarter. Kind of off topic but why does this team look so worn down? Do they train to hard at the beginning of the season and in practice or is it the types of players we are recruiting. This team has a lot of speed but they look slower than the competition for sure. Haywarduck Moderator No. 5 Share Posted November 25, 2021 I think Jonathon Smith, 2021, may have bit off more than he knows what to do with this year.
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 6 Share Posted November 25, 2021 Haywarduck...I don't how you find such great ones, because as I know--it is not always easy to find the right one for the topic. EOFan No. 11 Share Posted November 23, 2022 Great job Charles and everyone else! I guess I'm a little older than most, I remember being on the Beaver campus visiting friends, when the Great Pumpkin used to drive around in his Orange Corvette! Should be a really good game! Go Ducks beat those Beavers!!!!

GatOrlando No. 13 Share Posted November 23, 2023 (edited) This may not be the last year Smith sees the Ducks. Regardless of Civil War status. Hopefully this is a great game. The Beavers will try to block the Ducks path to the playoffs, but the river will sweep away whatever they try to build to block the path.
