Hey Cincy, you want 'Bama?  The Committee gave them to you, and the ESPNers spent the pregame saying, "It had to happen", the G5 needed to get a chance!.

 

I say, no it did not.  I think Cincy is going to be blown out. If Cincy wins? I never won the Duck Predict a score contest. 

 

Alabama got the opening kickoff, 10 straight runs, and a touchdown pass.

7-0 Alabama.  

Cincy is moving the ball. Can they score remains to be seen.

Cincy's offense is pretty good. The game will come down to whether or not their defense can stop Bama.

To me, this is a good-or-good game; if Alabama wins, it reaffirms that the Playoff was an "Invitational" (thanks Jon Joseph) and not based on SOS as it should have been and proving Cincy did not belong.  But if Cincy wins--it shouts the need for an expanded Playoff.

Notice Saban started out with pace and caught Cincinnati off guard. I wonder if MC is paying attention. 😂😂. 

 

Cinci probably won’t see the end zone today and they can’t stop the run.

 

Mich Georgia should be a much better game.

Alabama 27 Cincy 6. It was never a game. Cincy loses by 3 touchdowns. Better than I thought they'd do. 

Gotta give Cincy's defense credit, they came to play and it showed. Unfortunately for them the offense got smashed by a good SEC defense. 

Credit where credit is due.Cincinnati played to the end. The difference talent and dominating both lines. 

 

Bama in it again. They should have to have a handicap. This is getting boring.

2 for 2 today.  Just needed the right kicker as did the CK's Ducks during the Maldonado days.

 

Cincy had 6 blocked kicks this season.  Other than their FG kicking unit, they look a helluva lot better than the Oregon's special teams.

Alabama's powerful running game was completely vanilla; Inside Zones and Inside Zone Reads all day where the RB would Blast, Bend or Bounce to yardage.  They did not show anything new to their opponent in the final, and I suspect there might be a touch more in the 'Tide playbook!

Exactly. Alabama treated this Playoff Semi-Final like the cupcake game they play in Week 11. 

They only scored 27 points. I don't believe that's a cupcake game.

Agreed. Cupcakes usually give up 40 or more points tho.

Bama's RB set a single game rushing record. Bama owned both LOS and with the OL dominating Cincy's DL it smothered Cincy. Cincy was never in the game. The OK ST D is far better than this Cincy D. 

 

Cincy played a weak SOS and beat a ND team that had no top 25 wins.

 

Expand the playoff? I prefer to go back to the BCS. Better yet go back to the 'old bowl system.' 

 

And why shouldn't younger guys be able to go pro. UGA TE Brock Bowers is a pro now. What will he gain out of two more seasons of CFB.

Absolutely. There were about 12 Bowls, leading up to the Granddaddy of them all. It was a reward to play in one. 6-6 teams didn't make it.
