Fantastic quotes. Between the defensive coordinator yesterday, and the office of coordinator today, it seems that our coaches are pretty  excited about the future of Oregon football.

They BELIEVE in our upside!

Lanning is going after big talent as well. Oregon is in "top school" list of quite a few blue chips.

But the Ducks need the guys on the radar to flock to Eugene. So far, lot's of buzz but few guys picking Eugene as the hive.

Whole lot of top guys with Oregon in their final group of schools, let's bring them in.

Some recruits may be hesitant to committ to an unproven staff. They and their parents may not be sure of what they are getting into.

A successful 2022 and a dominant 2023 season with a CFP appearance and top recruits will have a full vision to fit their talents into.

Oregon boosters and the program may have to reconsider the NIL money available to future Duck recruits. Like it or not, Top 100 recruits are going to cost top dollar to land. Keeping top, proven players on your roster will be expensive.

Think about it.........

Coach Lanning and staff should have landed a few of those 5 star and top 4 star recruits. But they didnt.......

It wasnt for lack of effort, lack of facilities, lack of brand. Why do youngsters who say that Oregon has always been their dream school go to schools who have zero chance at a Natty? Or zero chance at winning their conference title or division title?

MONEY DRIVES THIS BUS.......

Lack of top NIL money at Oregon may be causing these top recruits and transfers to get on a different bus..........

Bingo.  Insofar as 2022, 2023 success I would surmise a 10 win 2022 season and a Pac-12 championship in 2023 would be fertile enough grounds to attract some of those blue chippers.  That being said, NIL money may be the key to getting those top tier recruits.  I don't like saying it or thinking about it but looking at it from a pragmatic standpoint.

Love the math ....

38 players with a five-star rating / just six players that have already announced their respective commitments, while the remaining 30 are still undecided on where they will play in college?? 38 - 6 = 30??

USC leads the way with three commits, while Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State and Tennessee each have one. 3 + 4 = 6??

Don't recall exactly, but I think several big time recruits are going to be there for the Spring Game.

It's not the regular season, but it does give guys an idea what Oregon football is going to look like. I'm hoping for a few commitments after those visits.
