Bo had a lower RTG than AB last year, threw lower completion percentage, less yards per completion, But Bo threw picks at about half the rate of AB and only had 3 picks last year. If Bo makes a jump this year and puts up 3400 yards, 32TD, 6 picks like Herbs did his last year then I think we will all be stoked with that. That said we all agree that Herbs talent was wasted that year and he had the talent put up another 1000 yards and 10 more TD's like MM did his last year. Bo's ceiling to me is Herbs wasted last year, if he makes a jump this year to that level. Rashada would be a nice get, there is a huge gap from the elite 5 stars to the 4 stars in the range of Butters and Shough Edited May 24, 20223 yr by DazeNconfused
May 25, 20223 yr Single season Rank Player Yards Year 1 Marcus Mariota 4,454[4] 2014 2 Akili Smith 3,763 1998 3 Marcus Mariota 3,665 2013 4 Justin Herbert 3,471 2019 5 Danny O'Neil 3,224 1993 6 Justin Herbert 3,151 2018 7 Bill Musgrave 3,081 1989 8 Anthony Brown 2,989[5] 2021 9 Joey Harrington 2,967 2000 10 Darron Thomas 2,881 2010 3400? That would put Nix in top 5 all time. AB tops Harrington and DT? Who would have thought?

Most of the time those teams were up by more than 3 TDs at half and didn't have to put the ball in the air anymore 😆 That same argument is what makes Marcus' numbers so unbelievable. GOAT! May 25, 20223 yr Moderator Kid would have to add about 30 lbs to survive in the college ranks....not impossible but a tall ask for someone who's listed at only 6'2" (and is likely an inch shorter than that)

That would put Nix in top 5 all time. AB tops Harrington and DT? Who would have thought? They play more games than they used to. Akili, O'Neil and Musgrave put those numbers up in a shorter season back when teams also played slower. Akili played 3 less games than MM but sits second on this list. Teams play faster now getting more snaps per game along with more games. I think you have to factor in AB played 2 more games than Joey and 1 more than DT, plus the increase in snaps/possessions. DT put his numbers up when Saban and Les Miles were playing FG matches in the SEC with 9-6 game scores. I think a truer QB performance matrix to compare all these QB's would be completion percentage, yards per completion, pass attempts per TD pass, ect.. I threw out the plus 3400-yard figure for Bo with the 30 plus TD's as a way for saying that in todays game that is good QB production, but not elite. It's a modest yardage increase from AB last year but over an 11 TD increase that would represent not missing the open reads - missing the open guy like AB did last year for TD's. Bryce Young had like 47 TD and I think 4900 yards last year? Didn't Burrow go well over 50 TD's and 5000 yards? I think with how today's game has changed the next Great Duck QB will put up a couple seasons as good or not better than MM's best year in 2014. Edited May 25, 20223 yr by DazeNconfused

I think that kid (name?)from Western Kentucky had almost 6000. Bryce young had under 5000. But yea, game has changed significantly.
May 26, 20223 yr I'm going with Bo on this 1. I believe he'll take apart the PAC. After what I saw in the spring. Watch out Bo's gonna shake his tail feathers with the benefits from this summer.
