OK...trash-talking is one thing, but the final word by Hout?

It was obvious at the time that there was more than trash talk occurring... I have little doubt the punishment meted out was exacerbated by the media presence, and the post Pout reaction to the donkey fan braying from the sidelines as LGB headed for the locker room.

 

Funny how the entire focus was on LGB, and the BS contingent was completely honorable in the eyes of the media.

 

The fact Pouty went down with one punch may say more about Blount's reaction than anything else.

 

 A true thug would have kept whaling on him until dragged away.

 

I have a direct acquaintance that was associated with that team and game.  It was clear to many witnesses the N word was used.  It was also clear Coach Peterson and Boise St officials knew it and refused to significantly address, punish, or publicly acknowledge it.  

Chip and UO  suspended LGB for the rest of the regular season for swinging.

Peterson and Boise did nothing to the racist.

UW knew all of this when they hired Peterson.  Try to win at all costs much?

 

Chip thought Peterson was going to do the right thing, so felt it was not on him to share what actually caused this.  Clearly,  trusting Peterson’s morals was a rookie mistake.

Bring back mutual combat laws. People wouldn't run their mouths as much. I grew up in a time you ran a risk of getting punched in the face. Mike Tyson once said "everyone is a tough guy until they get punched in the face".

Tough situation. I always thought that Blount was reacting to a racist comment from that kid. There should have been punishment of that BS moron as well. 
 

When he states that “This ain’t about football no more” , I agree 100%.

This needed a good old-fashioned investigation. One of the best true crime shows. “See No Evil”, shows how video cameras help solve investigations. “Cameras don’t lie!”

 

Blount’s version of the story:

1) Trash talk from a distance

2) Slap on shoulder

3) “How ‘bout that a**-whoopin’, . . .

4) ******!?”

Hout hadn’t even finished the word “whoopin” when he got punched. Petersen’s shove even slowed down Hout finishing “a**-whoopin”. Watch it for yourself.
 

I had grown to respect Blount for how he turned his career around. But to make this claim/accusation for the first time 13 years after the incident, and not be truthful, is despicable.

 

Blount also punched his own teammates. My respect level now for Blount . . . 0

Go look up Legarrette and tell him he is lying….lol

Even if Hout didn’t say anything racist I still agree with the punch. For no other reason other than I am a sore loser.
