Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted September 30, 2022 I had my fill of Cam Lewis a few years ago, but last year he was not bad. Now the years of experience are paying off as he is perfect on the season thus far, and made all three attempts in Pullman. David Marsh No. 2 Share Posted September 30, 2022 Not going to lie... I still get pretty nervous when he is kicking. I am also glad we have a kick off specialist that is not Lewis this year. I love seeing our kick offs consistently be touchbacks. Lewis couldn't get it into the end zone last year it seemed and gave some easily returnable kicks.

Drake Moderator No. 5 Share Posted September 30, 2022 (edited) He definitely had the kickers yips his freshman year. Pretty much expected him to miss anything beyond 25 yards. However, he has become competent place kicker and I have to applaud his efforts to improve. Edited September 30, 2022 by Drake
Haywarduck Moderator No. 6 Share Posted September 30, 2022 Last year I was pushing him to get on the top 30 watch list for the Lou Garza award. He then fizzled out, along with the rest of the team, as the season came to an end. Hopefully he can continue to make all his extra points, field goals, and even some long ones.

It's frustrating to see kickoffs consistently come up 10 yards short of the goal line and 25-30 yard runbacks putting the defense at disadvantage after every kick. Run backs get hostile crowds roaring and all because the kicker hasn't the leg to reach the end zone?
