I get trying to run the clock but if they throw a little they score easy and go up 2 scores. The coaches out thought themselves this whole game. Man, and that secondary is atrocious. Up until Nix got injured due to a dirty hit to his leg, that drive would have resulted in a TD and the game would've been out of reach for UW. I can't see him making all these reckless calls and having a long and illustrious career, especially trying for the second onside kick within four games. A few minutes of focused attention on the other side of the ball will make that very apparent. The Ducks have talent on that side of the ball, to be clear, but they’ve fallen short of putting it all together just yet. Everything we projected for the Ducks before this season is still very attainable. They are two wins away from making it to the Pac-12 Championship, and should they win that game, they will appear in the Rose Bowl during Lanning’s first season in Eugene. Bo Nix showed out before he was banged up, Bucky Irving was nearly impossible to tackle and the offensive line, also banged up, did yeoman’s work up to the very end. But we have to grade everyone and for the first time, the coaching staff will be involved.
