The issue IMHO during Dykes time at Cal was that none of his teams had any D to speak of - his offense though was creative and interesting to watch. With Wilcox, it's just the opposite - D is adequate while O is just atrocious. Nonetheless, Cal can be a difficult place to produce a winner although Jeff Tedford proved that you can win there - having winning records 9 of the 11 seasons he coached at the school.
