Is Oregon’s OC Selling “Bird-Bombs” to Recruits?

Recommended Posts

I have to admit to being pleased with the current line-up of receivers for 2023, along with the additions present for Spring Football and coming this summer between high school LOI signees and portal transfers. I was learning about pay-by-phone casino sites as one of the latest and most exciting ways of online gaming at PayByPhoneBillCasino.uk when I took a ...

I love the concepts Charles.  Thanks Mr. FishDuck for writing today's article!

Throwing the deep ball is complementary to a strong running game.  They help each other.  If the opponent wants to take away the great runs by Irving and the other Oregon backs by loading the box throw deep.

If they defend deep then the runners will have lots of yards.  I couldn't understand the previous coaching staff's love of short crossing routes, sideline passes, and hardly ever throwing deep.

Here's hoping the Coach Stein era will ignite the Oregon offense and average 45 points per game!

Thanks Charles for the article. Will be fun to get a glimpse of this offense during the spring game.

Hoping to see the fun continue with a powerful ground game wearing down our opponents and some back breaking bombs for TD's

Also hoping for some back breaking sacks by our front seven.

Go Ducks.........

At this stage--I am willing to give Stein the benefit-of-the-doubt concerning the implementation of the offense.  As I wrote before...he was incredibly innovative last year with all the crippling injuries on the offensive line.

Amen.  Like the QB option on the Zone Read....just the threat opens things up.  When you don't throw long--defenders can cheat up closer and nearly be in the box for run-support.  Yet a promised long-ball threat opens up running lanes, and the shorter pass patterns.

Stein has stated often already that he simply wants to attack where the defense is weak.  One-on-one coverage on Troy Franklin is a good match-up for Our Beloved Ducks!

any game in which Bo Nix was visibly hurt, and games where KD wasn't calling plays, the Ducks scored 45.3 ppg (43.9 ppg only counting the offense scores). AND, it was the most efficient offense in the history of Ducks football.

Yep.  And why Dilly would risk injury with a third plunge between the tackles with the team's most valuable asset....geez.  But I've covered that enough, and it does show that even the most gifted OC can make big mistakes.

Nice to see Stein be situational aware when calling QB runs.

Why do bird bombs always seem to target my car right after it comes out of the car wash?

Yes, must protect the quarterback. I don't get why that is such a difficult concept at times. Even if it does cost us getting the occasional first down, it is better to play it safe with the health of the qb. Should only purposely put the qb at risk in DIRE situations, like with the game on the line...

Or, needing to cover a spread I may have put a few bucks on. 😀

A veteran QB that has his sights on getting the most out of his last year in college, coupled with the new OC that had a prolific passing attack at his last stop.

With solid talent at receiver, and at RB, I believe Stein slides into the role of the new young OC at a pretty good time. Toss in some decent luck staying healthy as a team, and we have the ingredients for an exciting season of football.

Whatever he is telling the recruits, I hope the on field results exceeds many of our expectations.
