  2. Always good to see someone like Benson begin to shed his past struggles and turn the corner. He’s got the speed, but wait and see if he has Stewart’s strength and athleticism on the fly against elite corners.
  3. Yeah, and on top of that, he’s already dealing with one boob job — LB Wendell Gregory. Sour Grapes Dept. — all Gundy’s Duck Dough comment does is reveal his wistful envy for the same kind of source which dried up on him in 2023 when the Boone Pickens Foundation made its final donation. Nothing to back this up, but I’d guess Uncle Phil hasn’t quite arrived at the 650 Million given by Pickens to the AD. It’s estimated that his total gift to the university is over 1 Billion. Oklahoma State, OK - Mike Grundy, not so much

  5. Miami has a front loaded schedule with Florida, FSU and Louisville back to back to back (with a bye in between each one). However, they play six straight to end the season with road games at SMU, VA Tech and Pitt. There is ample opportunity for Mario to go off the rails this season.
  6. Dan Lanning expects Oklahoma State to test young secondary down the field Oregon coach Dan Lanning says the Cowboys take more deep shots than anybody "probably my time here". Slowing the Oklahoma State vertical pass attack will be key.
  7. The Oregon Ducks climbed to No. 6 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll released Tuesday morning following a 59-13 win over the Montana State Bobcats in Week 1. Next up for the Ducks is another non-conference home game against the 1-0 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Oregon and Oklahoma State have only played once in the 2008 Holiday Bowl, a game the Ducks won 42-31 Ohio State (Defeated Texas 14-7) Penn State (Defeated Nevada 46-11) LSU (Defeated Clemson 17-10) Georgia (Defeated Marshall 45-7) Miami (Defeated Notre Dame 27-24) Oregon (Defeated Montana State 59-13) Texas (Lost to Ohio State 14-7) Clemson (Lost to LSU 17-10) Notre Dame (Lost to Miami 27-24) South Carolina (Defeated Virginia Tech 24-11) Oregon Climbs to No. 6 in AP Poll Following Win Over Montana State
  8. Those Bellichec memes were hysterical! Thanks for sharing. 🤣🤣
  9. I'm hopeful they choke against FSU and the Gators, too. I figured they would haven't have to take the steps and as anticipated, be given an elevator lift to a spot above OBD. If I am not mistaken, I think they went 3 and out on 4 or 5 straight possessions in the second half of that game against ND. Plus, I think ND was way overrated to start. They really struggled and Miami did beat them, but it was not an impressive win. Oh yeah, and don't get me started on Joe Moorehead going MIA in Palo Alto, and Mario's abrupt exit stage left.
  10. Coaches poll had Oregon at No. 5, so we had THREE B1G teams in the top five? Cool! (Paul isn't going to like that!)
  11. eh.. I do think Austin underthrew that ball to him. I need to see more to say I agree
  12. You’re right my bad. Still some what shocking that they didn’t vault into the top ten which is usually the reward for beating a top ten SEC team.
  13. Oregon moves into the Top 5 after release of the Week 2 Coaches Top 25 Poll Oregon will be ranked inside the Top 5 this week following an impressive week one win over Montana State1. Ohio State 2. Penn State 3. Georgia 4. LSU 5. Oregon 6. Texas 7. Miami 8. Clemson 9. Notre Dame 10. Arizona State
  14. Miami - No. 5 - Nice win over ND, but - 9/11/21 - OBD 35 - Ohio State 28 Including putting Joe Moorhead in the hospital, and a choke job at ASU, Mario failed to put the icing on what should have been a spot in the PO. Will we see a redux of a late 2024 Miami at Syracuse choke?
  15. They were unranked prior to Saturday's game. This is their debut in the poll.
  16. Washington is my #1. No DT should have that many tackles and that much time spent in the backfield. He wrecked the run game for the #1 rushing team in all of college football.
  17. I’m surprised that FSU didn’t move at all after walloping Bama. Do the Carolina Bills drop into the bottom ten?
  18. Fascinating. Clearly doesn’t matter all THAT much on September 2…but I would penalize Texas and Clemson a lot more. I don’t care who they were playing against, those were some anemic offensive outputs given how much build up they both had as supposed offensive juggernauts.
  19. Bizarrely, I have zero issues with this list. I think they got it pretty much right.
  20. Ducks fly up one spot. TOSU at the top. AP NewsNCAA College Football Rankings: AP Top 25 Football PollThe official page for the AP Top 25 college football poll, a tradition since 1936. Keep up to date and view the latest ranking updates each week.
  21. It's Tuesday! I've been making the same mistake all morning.
  22. A few Week-1 thoughts. Week 1- 86 transfer QBs started. So, should we 86 recruiting QBs and find our passers only from the portal? Sag on the rebound in 2026? One of the last QBs to transfer, Jake ("I was framed") Retzlaff, led Tulane to a beatdown of Northwestern, with Transfer QB Preston (Hands Of) Stone throwing four picks. NW takes over the Big's No. 18 spot from Purdue. Indiana led the entirety of its first eight games in 2024. In the opener against Old Dominion, the Hoosiers fell behind 11 seconds after kickoff. This had Cig smoking! Whether it's Jim Knowles or Matt Patricia, against TOSU, Sark's O goes dark. Golden Boy Archie threw more ad pitches on Saturday than he did TDs. Despite a pregame decapitation, the Duck and the Ducks carried on for a B1G opening win. Tacos were not on the concession menu, but Taco (Bell) Dowler balled out for the Bobcats. Do Not Blame the Messenger, please—the No. 1 player on Bill Connolly's Week 1 Heisman Ballot - UWho's B1G Co-O Player of the Week Jonah Coleman, with 177 rush yards, 1 catch for 22 yards, and a 26-yard KO return. UW will be 3-0 when 3-0 Ohio State pays a visit in Week 5. Week 5 will be B1G! Ohio State at UW; USC at Illinois; Indiana at Iowa, and a White Out at Penn State 😁! Lasso the Cowboys!
  23. I didn't interpret the rotations we saw vs Montana St. as the rotations we'll necessarily see going forward. Lanning clearly indicated that he wanted to get a lot of younger players experience. That's invaluable tape to coach off of and it keeps our two deep fresh for another long season. We also didn't want to tip our hand to future opponents, but at the same time give them as much as possible to waste time in practice on (e.g. odd formations and personnel groupings). It looks like the coaching staff balanced it to perfection and got an outstanding result.
  24. Send help. I can't get up off the floor. 😁
  25. No one🙃 overreacts after Week 1, right? ESPN.comConnelly's Week 1 overreactions: Belichick, Arch Manning,...What happened to Arch Manning? And Clemson?? And Alabama??? We jump to some way-too-early conclusions.
