Sark to the NFL?
Well, some say they came close to getting Saban from Alabama in 2012. The Longhorn boosters do not think small. The Crimson WhiteSaban to Texas? Why it never happenedWhen Alabama and Texas met at the Rose Bowl for the 2010 BCS National Championship game, it was a matchup of programs heading in different directions. Two historic programs, two historic coaches and

Sark to the NFL?
There’s no doubt that Texas is one of the most attractive positions in college football but it seems important for the head coach there to have strong ties to the state and high school football coaches. Will Stein may be a better option, IMO, but I’m sure that they will swing for the fences.

Indiana got away with a hold... Perhaps you line gurus in the group can explain to me if it's legal to hold the Jersey as the defensive player is trying to break free...

Quite a few good games today, and let's discuss in this thread! This game is "good-or-good," because a Husky win would help our SOS, but an Illini win would help the conference with a postseason candidate.

Sark to the NFL?
I just heard on College Sports Radio on SXM that Sark’s representation told a reporter that he would be interested in a NFL head coaching position if he gets the opportunity. This has legitimacy since his agent came right out and said it to a reporter. No leaks and no “unnamed sources”. Could this be a ploy to get more money? Is Sark unhappy at Texas? Is Texas unhappy with Sark? We will soon find out because he will definitely be hounded by the media for answers. I would expect Texas to make a run at Lanning for sure. They think very highly of themselves which has been their downfall. Their booster are also very hands-on.

QUAAACK! Rivals 4-Star Linebacker Commits to Oregon!
I think its less about four stars and more about the numbers of "developmental" mid to lower three stars filling these bigger classes. #603 Logan Bathke #571 Jacob Capra #1538 Sam Poutasi #941 Cody Shear #822 Christopher Randazzo #903 Justin Johnson #611 Loga Sagapolu #529 Jaylan Jeffers #801 Faaope Laloulu #714 Marcus Harper #804 Jaylen Smith #600 Michael Wooten #524 Jonah Miller #818 Kawika Rogers #1000 Bruce Boulton #796 Lipe Moala #954 Trent Ferguson #503 Demetri Manning Here is a list of the mid to lower three stars brought in on the OL this last decade (#500 or lower nationally). Harper turned out to be ok and Ferguson and Manning still may turn out to be playable; but, this isn't exactly a strong list supporting investing a lot in "developmental" guys. Save the years of resources to hopefully have a hit on a lower rated guy and instead get an experienced fully developed guy for a year (or two). No one listed performed at the level of Pregnon. Harkey moved to RG for a number of snaps against Rutgers and I think the spot on the OL that has been graded as most problematic this year looked much more solid. I think DL already is ahead of the curve on how it is dividing up its resources. There will obviously still be a fewer lower ranked guys the staff likes; but, by and large, I think using the portal will be viewed as both less risky and and more "resource efficient" as long as most of the current rules remain in place.

Whoa! What Are They Feeding Akili Smith Jr.?
Terrell Pryor played at 6'6/230ish. Akili Smith Sr was 6'3/220... This could be interesting if his baseline skills are as good or better than his Dad...
