  2. Dante can make all the throws but till this game slows down for him he will struggle punishing overly aggressive defenses. Time and time again, you hear QB's talk about how the game has slowed down for them and I don't think Dante can say that. Another year in college would greatly improve the mental side of his the game.
  3. The state of Montana is the 41st state. Montana State just won their first championship in 41 years.
  4. Indiana's defense had line control, brought pressure, and then those short passes were also bottled up....especially the ones behind the line of scrimmage. I'm not sure Stein can scheme around that unless Dante shows some major improvement over what we saw in October. I still don't understand why Indiana's D-coordinator didn't get more mention to be a candidate for a head coach opening. Their O-coord also helped them put a lot of points on the board. He didn't get any mention either.
  5. As a former MSU student this is amazing feeling to put a Nationally Championship trophy in the case for the first time since I was 4! Need the Ducks to double it up for me because the Raiders sure going to.
  6. If you look up the box score, you'll see Illinois State dominated statistically....possession, yards, plays, first downs, third downs, penalties, etc. But, MSU got the scoreboard. Montana State ends the season 14-2. Lost the weekend after the Oregon game, then never lost again.
  7. MSU wins 35-34 in overtime. Had a 28-21 lead late, and control of the game. Allowed Illinois State to score late fourth quarter to tie it, 28-28. MSU..more penalties...had to give up possession with a punt. Illinois State marched down the field, but a late FG attempt was blocked by MSU. Game goes to overtime, Illinois State scores in two plays for the lead. BUT, MSU blocks the extra point, score 28-34. Then, Montana State gets a TD on fourth and ten in OT to tie it, and then wins with the extra point kick. I forgot about the game which I intended to watch, but remembered in time to see most of a wild fourth quarter. As Pants said, it was hot potato in the fourth with neither team taking control when they could have.
  8. Two teams playing hot potato with the win. Reminded me of the last drive of the Pop Tarts Bowl. Nine false starts by MSU is horrible. Almost as bad as ISU’s kicking game.
  9. Hooo man, I hope people didn't miss this. What a game. We beat the FCS National Champion to start the year. Not bad.
  10. WIN, its that simple. If we don't we are done. Hopefully the Doctor has cured are problems.
  11. Today
  12. How many Seattle area codes on those phone #’s?
  13. Montana State is a very undisciplined team. I think they have five false starts, a few personal fouls and pass interference/defensive holding penalties. It would not surprise me to see them blow this lead and lose the game in the 4th quarter.
  14. We have seen great performances from both the offense and defense in the last 2 games, just not in the same game. This game we get them both!!
  15. I've been a seahawks fan since Steve Largent. I'm going to enjoy their super bowl victory. Am I going to get kicked out of this group now?
  16. When they make comments like that, it just shows how bad they know their team sucks. They had it going for a little while, then their coach left and he is not doing well at bama and the Huskies are not doing much anymore in Seattle. But they were actually a real threat when DeBoer was with them. It is a lot like how we were doing when Helfrich had to coach with his own players and not Chip's anymore. (it wasn't good) The head coach matters. I can only think of one team recently that had a smooth transition - Ohio St. Maybe... they will get desperate enough to throw all that Seattle tech money at Lane Kiffen? Oh Boy. Wouldn't that be something?
  17. Not sure how the Raiders are ever going to improve if they keep firing the head coach so quickly.
  18. $$$$. Whole lots of $$$$, I want that pie in the sky! FWIW, the word 'on the street' has Sorsby transferring from Cincinnati to Texas Tech, and Hoover transferring from TCU to Indiana, vacuuming up $5 million each? 🤑 Instead of playing for NFL wannabes, both will have the opportunity to play for CFB PO contending teams. And Chip and OBD were dinged for using a 'runner?' 🤬 Can't all of these billionaire boosters just get along? Like they do in the NFL. Love the post and the illustrations. Dante could use more experience. But after helping raise The Trophy in Miami? Why the encore? 😍 Dante, send the Hoosiers to the 7th Circle!
  19. I'm sure you got better things to do, but a compilation might be entertaining. 🤔
  20. Top college QBs might be getting over $5m this year…not sure the $$’s supersede all other considerations at this point. I get that it’s a lot less than a top 10 pick gets (Cam Ward 4 year, $12m/year I believe), but it’s really not a no brainer any more to jump at the money.
  21. Since they are going with green helmet, I would have gone with green pants. But a good look all the same. The yellow trim on the numbers goes good with the yellow feathers on the helmet.
  22. YES! Give me at least some of that old school ball.
  23. Does Dante need to play much better or is it on the offensive coordinator? Hmmmm... I think it is a bit of both. I like the fact that Dante has had a full season leading this team for the rematch. Will Stein has also had a full season as OC with this current unit. The offense has a new O line this year, new QB, some different receivers and two freshman RBs who are playing a lot. I think that the experience of playing together for 14 games is going to make a difference from the last effort vs Indiana.
  24. Close, but not the same. Different helmet. Darker green with yellow feathers that don’t fade. White jersey with dark green collar, numbers on the shoulders instead of wings. Darker green in the hat and the numbers. Much better look, something OBD can use to wreak havoc and extract revenge. Go Ducks, Hammer the Hoosiers!
