  2. Sir Charles thank you for accumulating these revealing numbers. If this team can discipline themselves and complete drives that end up in points then the defense will do the job needed to win out and beyond..... Bring the DOMERS to Eugene for a first round playoff game. Hopefully the BIG will tone down the bias and put a leasch on the refs. Saturday's crew needs a 1 game suspension. Now is the time for more improvement and statement games. GO DUCKS!
  3. This article is just small piece of a larger narrative that the SEC and Notre Dame homers are pushing for their own playoff status. It’s a campaign to influence the playoff committee. The more they beat the drum about Oregon’s “weak” schedule the more everybody starts to believe it. They’re counting on Oregon losing one more game, so they can get them pushed out of the playoffs and replaced by a 3-loss SEC team. It makes it easier to justify Notre Dame’s spot. It’s also their way of making the B1G look like a weak conference. Want to see proof? Listen to the take from B1G alum Joey Galloway.
  4. Can’t seem to cut a break from bad weather. Hopefully the playoff committee should be taking this in consideration, but will they? Bad Weather Looms Again for Oregon Ducks’ Third-Straight GameThe weather forecast for Oregon’s home game at Autzen Stadium vs. the Minnesota Golden Gophers could be the Ducks' third-straight rainy matchup. The forecast in Eugene calls for an 80 percent chance for precipitation on Friday. How can the Ducks again handle the adversity? Oregon Ducks On SIBad Weather Looms Again for Oregon Ducks’ Third-Straight...The weather forecast for Oregon’s home game at Autzen Stadium against the Minnesota Golden Gophers is shaping up to be another challenge for the No. 9 Ducks. 5. Oregon haters who think the Ducks are on upset watch have another thing comingThe Ducks should have no problems with the Golden Gophers on Friday Autzen ZooWhy Oregon is not on upset alert against MinnesotaThe Oregon Ducks are coming off a major win over the Iowa Hawkeyes last Saturday, and must have a short-term memory this week. The Ducks will host the Minnesota
  6. I could not find an answer to your question, but I did find the following: https://sports.yahoo.com/article/gophers-football-two-big-ten-162300679.html I think Fox decides when games will be played on Friday nights. I don't know whether Fox has input on the teams playing Friday night. I do know that many programs, including Ohio State, are not happy with Noon kickoffs. Petitti cannot have been happy with Texas at Ohio State kicking off at noon. In prime time, this game probably draws two million + more viewers. No B1G team played more than seven conference games in a row this season. 8 games in a row was a hose job. Does Rob Mullens beef about these scheduling quirks? I don't know? He seems to be a Go Along to Get Along kind of guy.
  7. More testing, as we had issues placing pictures in posts....
  8. OD, your SC comment was humorous. However, in compliance with the Forum operating procedures and a few complaints, I deleted the post. Please, keep up your great posts, use XXXX as needed. All the best, Brother.
  9. I also hope that the media continues to doubt Oregon because Coach Lanning and the team certainly use it as extra motivation, as that and other episodes show.

  11. Great episode - includes everything that I enjoy in Ducks vs. Them (e.g., theme of the week, behind the scenes access, coach’s communication, great storyline). Oregon’s media department is the best in the business. No child should suffer from a chronic illness/disease. That story was a tear jerker but totally fits with Iowa’s wave tradition.
  12. DM, you told Noah about The Flood, and he listened! 😁 Another great and spot-on take, thank you. I do note that Oregon, with its flash and dash Nike marketing and complementary playing style, was respected but certainly not liked in the Real Pac-12 and across the nation. Uncle Phil was the only 'booster' supporting a team. 🤑 Want proof? Ask Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss, er, Auburn, er, in the Unemployment Line. Don't ask $cam, he didn't know he was out for bid, right? If they can't take a joke and a pounding ... 🤬 I did find Kirk Ferentz's post-game comments to be gracious. If anyone knew how good a win this was, it was Kirk.
  13. Isn't the reason we have multi-team playoffs is to allow for the "most" high caliber teams to prove it on the field? Get in and prove your "mettle" when it counts the most. Heck of a lot better than what came before. Let's Go NFL-Lite!
  14. Ehhh..Haters Gonna Hate. And honestly OBD hasn't really lived up to the "expectations" coming from the PAC. JUST FAR EXCEEDED EM!! Tooo bad...Sooo Sad B1G Boys. Get used to it. There be a new "Sheriff in Town". GET USED TO IT! Ain't going No Where! (But UP!) Let's Go Ducks.
  15. All of these observations is simply because Oregon has been ready to compete with the best in the nation for quite awhile now. Since Slick Willie we have recruited, and developed NFL caliber players. (Just watch one weekend of NFL football and see how many names you hear from Oregon). The problem was being "locked in" the PAC12, notorious for getting no media respect and cannabilizing each other, especially "after dark". Where a two loss Alabama, Georgia, Ohio St still had a shot at the 4 team playoff, the PAC was never given the same consideration. Even One loss was viewed "as suspect", depending on who it was against (wash st., cal, etc.). So, "TV" collapses the PAC and Oregon/Washington (thrown a bone) to come and play with the B1G boys. The chance Oregon had desperately been looking for, for years, to legitimize the quality of the program. With a new and ambitious coach, Oregon took its opportunity and ran with it! (Especially last week, all over Iowa😁). This was not suppose to be. Because of the "narrative" about the PAC, and it's "flashy" perennial leader Oregon, and that Oregon was just that....flash and no bite and we have, resoundingly, repeatedly, made them "eat their words". And this has and continues to leave a bad taste on their mouths. OBD is NOT making friends in their new conference and in fact painting a huge target on their backs (Indiana game comes to mind), something I believe OBD haven't quite come to realization and/or grips with. But they will. Ten years from now ( With D. Lanning still leading the way) after several conference championships and a Natty or two all anyone will think about the Ducks is, "Boys...this is the game of the year for us...beat Oregon and you will prove we have become legitimate contenders". Because you will have to be "legitimate" to beat OBD! 🦆🏈🪨's
  16. I'm wondering how many times a BIG team has been scheduled to play a game on a Friday night after a road game against a team coming off a bye. My guess is probably about as many times as a team has been scheduled to play eight conference games in a row without a bye.
  17. Indeed. It’s amazing how timing and recency of your loss skews things, but it makes sense to some degree really. The collective CFB mind glosses over that Alabama lost to a terrible FSU team…that did actually happen, much as it might strain the brain of the SEC general fervor to recall. The team that is currently undefeated in the SEC with 3 weeks to go, lost to the team currently in 15th in the ACC…by 14.
