Oregon Ducks Recruit Xavier Lherisse Shows Off Athleticism With Pick-Six at OT7 Oregon Ducks class of 2026 commit, safety Xavier Lherisse is one of many elite high school prospects playing this weekend at the OT7 Finals. During a seven-on-seven game, Lherisse wowed everybody with a pick-six. Xavier Lherrise caught eyeballs this weekend on a pick six. Lherrise intercepted the ball at his own goal line and then was off to the races, juking defenders and then accelerating into the endzone after going the length of the field. Check out the play below. College football (CFB) fans are pumped up for a slate of huge Week 1 out-of-conference (OOC) games: Texas at Ohio State, goosed by Lee Corso's last Hat Dance; LSU at Clemson in a battle of Death Valleys; Notre Dame at Miami in the latest Tampering Convicts versus Catholics battle; and last season's 4-loss Low Tide Alabama at the Who Scalped Chief Osceola, Florida State. But CFB fans should not overlook other Power 4 vs. Power 4 OOC games early in the 2025 season that will influence how fans and the CFB Playoff Committee view the season. WEEK 1 - B1G Nebraska vs. B12 Cincinnati in Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City Will the Cornhuskers Ruhle, or at least have an impact on the B1G standings, in Matt Ruhle's third season? B1G UCLA vs. B12 Utah - The Bruins battled for Coach Foster in 2024 and finished on a high note. Kyle Whittington's Utah crumbled. Will a QB by way of Long Beach and Knoxville, TN, get UCLA to a bowl game? Will a new QB, Devon Dampier and his OC coming to Salt Lake City from New Mexico have the Utes contending for a B12 title in 2025? ACC Georgia Tech at B12 Colorado / SEC Auburn at B12 Baylor / B12 TCU at ACC UNC - Will the Tar Heels play like Michael Jordan, or like Jordon Hudson? A 'Double Header' in Atlanta with no baseball Braves players on the field? August 30th - SEC Tennessee vs. ACC Syracuse August 31st - SEC South Carolina vs. ACC VA Tech. WEEK 2 - Headliner - B1G Michigan at SEC Oklahoma - This meeting of Dark Blue Blue Bloods is a homecoming for Michigan coach Sherrone Moore. Oklahoma joins Utah in bringing in a new QB, John Mateer, and his OC from Washington State. Will the Sooners improve, or Coug It? Michigan allowed for Moore's return to Norman by having Moore begin his two-game 'sign stealing' suspension in Week 3. Stay tuned for the NCAA penalties. B1G Illinois at ACC Duke - This is a B1G test for a touted Illini team. Duke played well for Manny Diaz last season and signed one of the most sought-after transfer portal QBs, Darian Mensah, from Tulane. Will Mensah turn out to be a QB mensch? Yes, Bret Bielema and Illinois had a 10-win season in 2024, but five of those wins were by one score. Yes, Illinois returns 16 starters from last season, and Duke only 58% of its starters from last season, but at 13-6 at home in the last three seasons, the Blue Devils are no longer a certain win. During WWII, the Rose Bowl was once played at Duke Stadium, today's Wallace Wade Stadium. B1G Iowa at B12 Iowa State - The Cy-Hawk battle returns to Ames after Iowa State's comeback win last season in Iowa City. Iowa State is ranked 20th in The Sporting News top 25 preseason composite rankings. Iowa is not ranked. Win this game, and future Oregon opponent Iowa will be ranked. B1G Michigan State vs. ACC Boston College - Has QB Aiden Chiles improved? Has John Smith improved the Spartan roster? Will State avenge last season's 23-19 loss to BC? B1G Oregon vs. B12 Oklahoma State - 2024 was a Cowboys rodeo that coach Mike Gundy would sooner () forget. OK State was one of the 2024 favorites to win the B12 and went an imperfect 0-9 in conference. The Cowboys brought in 31 transfers. Yes, OBD only returns five starting players from 2024, but Oregon has a talented Blue Chip Roster, and OK State, like every other B12 team, does not. OBD will be a heavy favorite. Other Week 2 OOC games of interest: B12 Baylor at ACC SMU / B12 Kansas at SEC Missouri / B12 ASU at SEC Mississippi State / SEC Vanderbilt at ACC VA Tech / ACC Stanford at B12 BYU. WEEK 3 - Week 3 features two premier OOC games - B1G Wisconsin at SEC Alabama is one of the games that make the Badgers 2025 schedule one of the toughest in the nation. This will be the third and final 2025 B1G vs. SEC clash. SEC Texas A&M at Independent Notre Dame. The Golden Domers 2024 schedule ratchets up in 2025 with Miami replacing Miami of Ohio, A&M replacing Northern Illinois (), and Arkansas replacing Army. Further down the OOC road will see USC at Notre Dame in what could be the last game in a long series. Week 1 -1st things 1st - Bob Them Cats!

Which is exactly what ESPN and the SEC care about. Of course, both of those entities have monopolized college football, USC is trying to buy relevancy.

Setup an actual enforcement committee. Have the peanut butter to call it that and enforce it. Set two transfer dates, enforce coaching contracts and compensation for those who lose one to a poacher. Set a transfer limit number and amount any one player can get. Let the athlete do their third party advertisements but make sure there is no affiliation with the school. Don't tell schools how much of a percentage they have to spend on non revenue generating sports. I hope the period we are in right now is considered the learning stages. I'm tired of hearing about house committees, NCAA enforcement codes, and back office meetings where RB #45 is making more from his rice krispies deal than DT #98 is from husky boy milkshakes.

The clowns should've just joined the Mountain West but did it in a way where they changed the name to PAC West. Now I gotta hear how Texas State, San Jose State, and Buckee Beaver State are all the next UCF or Boise State. Mount Union and Wisconsin Whitewater have more name value than whatever the new Pac Who is adding. -
They apparently really like hiring lawyers that are willing to tell them what they want to hear; lawyers that care more about a continuous stream of revenue (i.e. continuously puting themselves in a position to get sued and have to defend themselves).

The way I see it, USC had no choice. They have been circling the drain for a while. They lost a bunch of guys to the portal that were starters or significant contributors. I would have done the same thing. Sign 35 kids by throwing money at them and see what sticks. Desperate times for USC for sure right now.

I think they went with WSU. -
Is the NCAA truly the most useless organization that has ever existed anywhere? Since the beginning has there ever been a time when, "thank goodness the NCAA was there" uttered? Now the NCAA is Blockbuster Video in a streaming world. As far as USC, is throwing $$$ at high school kids really a strategy?

I find it doubtful that Lanning & staff have not fine-tuned some sort of formula based on position that accounts for - among others - graduation rate, percentage of those who will red shirt, transfer into and off the roster and medical-out of the program, to not have a pretty clear idea of team recruiting needs, and what it will cost to compete for those players in any given year.

NIL Go is the first lawsuit away from being neutered. Player and Agent attorneys are waiting in the wings to file suit, the first time seven Deloitte accountants determine a deal to be above market value. NIL Go does provide for an appeal, but I think a judge will find delay in payment to be a loss in payment, and that any effort to control the NIL market will be found to be a restraint on trade that violates antitrust law in a given state, or in the federal district where a federal judge makes such a ruling. Then, there are states, like Tennessee, that have passed a law not allowing the enforcement of the House settlement within state borders. Without Congressional relief from litigation, the NCAA will lose, and plaintiffs' attorneys will win in court. Also, the idea that players receiving 'revenue sharing' payments are not employees is doomed. Once again, the NCAA comes with form over substance arguments that will not hold up.
