  1. Past hour
  2. After the 11 game win streak, a loss was coming, and it sure did. The Ducks hit the wall harder than Wyllie Coyote did chasing after the Roadrunner. Murphy's Law was in play. In the previous 54 games, OBD had 39 errors. I'm not a math whiz, but that's below 1 a game. Against Nebraska they had 4! Oh, oh, Nebraska found the blueprint on how to beat Grinsell! No. He was off his game today Sandy Koufax had games like that. There is one problem though, let alone no home runs, Neville is 2-24, and he's striking out more, getting more stressed about getting a hit. I'd shuffle the line-up a bit, no need for him to be leading off, try 5th, see what that does.
  3. Clark was also forced into 10 turnovers (Sabrina had NONE). Not the kind of triple double to write home about…

  5. Kai likely not the only base runner to have utilized this springboard approach, and gotten away with it. Like pitchers getting caught pushing off with their pivot foot, base runners who have done this will now have to modify their take-off; otherwise, we’re in for a lot more riveting moments of watching umps staring into a little screen.
  6. Agreed, get this game out of their system so they can start from scratch in the regionals. Like your tourney header said FD, “ . . . A Bad Matchup?”
  7. Real-Time RPI according to this guy this morning post-game: No. 18 RPI (Live) 2025 College Baseball | WarrenNolan.com WWW.WARRENNOLAN.COM 2025 College Baseball RPI (Rating Percentage Index) Updated in REAL-TIME for Every Team at the Completion of Every Game.
  8. Better to end the winning streak now as opposed to later. Start another and get to Omaha.
  9. A 16-Team Field Featuring 1-16 in the Field in 2024-25 - B1G - Oregon, Penn State, Indiana, Ohio State SEC - Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina. 10, not 8 B1G and SEC teams in the field. Do the folks arguing for the top-ranked 16 teams in the field have any idea of what they are wishing for? College Football Playoff 2024 - Final bracket and top 25 - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM A look at the final bracket based on the College Football Playoff committee's last set of rankings.
  10. It doesn’t appear, based on their previous stats, that either this guy or his brother are players to get overly excited about.
  11. Show Josh the $$$! Commanders to sign first-round OT Josh Conerly WWW.YARDBARKER.COM The Commanders have agreed to terms with No. 29 pick Josh Conerly Jr. on a four-year, $15.68M rookie deal.
  12. Next Manning Up! Ohio State is post-spring SP+ No. 1, and the first B1G start for Archie. ESPN keeps feeding the absurd Arch Manning frenzy FANSIDED.COM The offseason hype train surrounding Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns is out of control!
  13. I agree. This clearly was not representative of Oregon baseball. During the broadcast it sounded like the Ducks definitely have a Regional, and a graphic showed that a top 8 seed is deserved, they had the Ducks up against 3 other contenders and Oregon was above all of them. So far, 6 of the Top 16 teams were eliminated early in their conference tournaments.
  14. They likely lost the #8 seed and the super regional, but better to lay this egg now than next weekend
  15. Hope you are right Charles. But, if Penn State knocks off Nebraska this evening, the last memory of Oregon may not be good in the Committee's eyes. If they can give Oregon State and UCLA two Western regionals, not sure they will feel compelled to give one to the Ducks. Thank goodness they notched a win over Michigan State. Hope the Committee takes the circumstances of the B1G scheduling snafu into account.
  16. Thanks, Charles, for the Selection Show Heads Up. Monday, 9 AM Pacific, ESPN 2 - Onward and upward for the OBD Diamond Ducks!
  17. That is an exaggeration...IMHO. The Ducks most certainly are above a No. 17 National Seed, and thus have a Regional secured, while a Super-Hosting is not out of the question. Meh. Oregon did not play like usual today...and after eleven straight wins--that is Baseball. Oregon lost 7-3, to return to Eugene, and find out their fate Monday morning on the Selection Show.
  18. I concur. I doubt UCLA will be in line for a Super Regional. The Ducks had a shot. The Big Ten blew it...maybe not only for a Super but a regional in Eugene as well. The Big Admin should be ashamed. They should never have put their No. 1 seed in that scheduling position. And, I would feel the same way if the 1 seed had been Michigan, Iowa or whichever. It wasn't Friday night rain, or 7:00 am start for excuses... it was the B1G screwing up.
  19. A fouled-up format, no matter the sport = 'bad bounces' for OBD. Just Win! I get it, but why go to a format dumped by the ACC? Because three tournament teams are from the Pacific time zone? Paranoia strikes deep! Why do I feel this way? Perhaps it's due to Nebraska's softball victory being covered front to back by Saturday Tradition, with crickets for OBD's great comeback against Stanford. Proud of the way OBD has represented in the B1G to date? 'YES!' But I'm certain B1G 'traditionalists' aren't all that happy. This tourney perhaps gets one more B1G team into the NCAA PO. But at what cost to teams already in the field?
  20. 6' 7" wing that can guard all 5 positions. Oregon Ducks, Dana Altman Secure Howard Bison Transfer Miles Stewart WWW.SI.COM After the Oregon Ducks released Penn State Nittany Lions freshman forward Miles Goodman from his financial aid...
  21. The G6 team in the field, which will not receive a bye in 2025-26, is guaranteed $8 million, not $4 million. That took care of 6 votes. Notre Dame! Let's all go Independent! ND finishes in the top 16 (16 !!!) and is in the field. The Domers, now eligible to be ranked in the PO top 4, couldn't wait to vote 'Aye!' Other than pride, what's in it for the ACC and the B12 approvals remains to be seen, probably in June. The new format has to be signed, sealed, and delivered this December. Both of the Lesser 2 conferences are pushing for a guaranteed 3rd team in the field. I doubt the Power 2 has agreed to this. But I also thought we wouldn't see straight seeding until next season. In a 4-4-2-2-1-3 format, perhaps the Lesser 2 will have some advantage in obtaining the two at-large spots after Notre Dame grabs one of the three at-large bids? Perhaps the Power 2 has agreed sub rosa, that the ACC and the B1G teams will receive a greater share of the proceeds? Meanwhile, Power to the Power 2! The oft-referenced latest SP+ ranking released post-spring, has 12 B1G and 13 SEC teams in the top 40. 62.5% of the 40-best (Quad 1 CBB equivalent?) out of 136 teams. Yet, the Power 2 are only receiving 58% of the PO media revenue before PO participation revenue is added. The Power 2 assured of 8-teams in the field in 2026-27 is receiving populist flak that is not supported by any meaningful metric. 50% of the field is a far cry from the 62.5% ranked in SP+'s top 40. And the media viewer numbers (Eyes on the Prize) overwhelmingly favor the Power 2. Do you want folks to tune into the games or not?
  22. 6-1 ‘braska, after seven innings. I cannot believe how the bounces of the ball have gone against us today…
  23. Yes it was but it's insult to injury having a dog involved.
  24. 6-1 Nebraska after five innings. Grinsell, like the rest of the Ducks, are not having a good day.
  25. Jeremiah Johnson's epic run, Masoli's heroics, and a hurdle over a beaver by LGB are 3 of my favorite CW memories over the last 60+ years of Duck history!
