  3. Came across this on YouTube. The 2014-15 Rose Bowl in 30 mins. The best single game of the Helfrich era. Also... The best game out of Thomas Tyner. He was just figuring out how the college game worked before a surgery left him out for the following year and then he medically retired. Only to come back for some lackluster season at Oregon State. Freshman Freeman was a beast. That was fun.
  4. Couldn't happen to a more deserving group.
  5. The video is less than a minute, but what ELSE are they going to come up to feature The Duck? I think the Big-10 is beginning to enjoy his antics... How can you NOT laugh?

  8. Sadly, I think the "lifelong fan" recruit is in the past. Just recently one of them picked a different school. That's fine, but why did the softball pitcher transfer to Texas Tech from Stanford? A million reasons come to mind. As long as the transfer portal exists, loyalty has never been more fleeting, it's "Show Me the Money" now.
  9. That's certainly a holistic way of looking at it. We did in fact leave them with hundreds of millions that they didn't deserve! Now they will have to cough up a chunk of that for repaying MWC's favor with their shameful act.
  10. Golf brings out the best and worst of some people. A private club is owned by the membership, and professional golfers are guests. It would be similar to going into someone’s home and destroying their property. A lack of self control is not a good sign for longevity as a professional. Controlling emotions is a large part of playing at a high level.
  11. I know what you are getting at and it is true. Except in actuality that is because we did nothing to the Pac 12 except elevate the have nots that were left behind.
  12. Good, what the 2pac did to MW was a lot more shameful than what we ever did to the Pac-12. They deserve to be penalized.
  13. Two things can be equally true at the same time. If there is pro potential, then both. I'm sure some are getting while the getting is good. Also, will this cut down on the insurance policies team buy for players, now that the player can afford their own?

  19. All deals over $600 were supposed to be revealed by the terms of the House so-called settlement. Many schools that supported the settlement are, for various reasons, not disclosing the terms of the deal. The only winner in this settlement? The defense attorneys, who I am certain charged a robust hourly fee, but their lucre pales in light of the $750 million awarded to the plaintiffs' attorneys. These newly wealthy lawyers are already whining about deals outside of 'market value' being set aside. How long before the nouveau riche round up a group of new plaintiffs and file another suit against the NCAA, and all those following the terms of the settlement for price fixing? You can't have too many private jets, right? If the folks who pay the bills, the fanatics, the fans, had standing, the NCAA would have been put out of business long ago. Without reporting, the estimate of the teams paying the most for players is a WAG, except perhaps for Texas Tech, which can't stop boasting about the $55 million payroll. (And the $1 million per annum for a softball pitcher from Stanford.) When the onion is peeled back, agents touting their deal-making prowess appear to be exaggerating the per annum payments. Shocking. Oregon and Georgia lost an OL recruit to Miami because they dropped out of the bidding. Georgia did nothing to try to retain the services of $4 million QB Carson Beck, who has all of the skills other than leadership. Knowing when to fold up is prudent. At the SEC media days, Kirby Smart asked at what dollar amount a player is satisfied. Is a player making $200,000.00, using Kirby's example, hungry for wins? Is he willing to put in the extra work required to win championships? Are young men playing for the love of the game or just the money? With a largely unregulated right to transfer, what is more important today, recruiting, the portal, or paying your best players to stick around for another season, like Michigan in 2023 and Ohio State last season? Many 4* and 5* players will not play up to their ranking out of high school. I'm waiting for one of Dan's 5 stars to show up and ball out in game one of his year one. Dak? You know the value of experienced players on your roster, and portal rankings are based in part on how a player performed in college. And the retained players and the experienced players are not interested in obnoxious (IMO) 'It's all about Me!' chest pounding. I have yet to see an NFL free agent go on (un)social media to let the fans of his new team and the sporting world at large know just how great he is. Thanks for the post. I'm reasonably certain player agents know the teams with the deepest pockets. 🤑
  20. First outright title since 1964, they’re such big boys!
  21. No not hoops. Mediation for exit/poaching fees just failed yesterday afternoon. Some of their diehards are taking this as a power play, but I don’t think this is remotely a positive and could very much be an increased threat to the conference's viability.

  26. Oregon Ducks named among top spenders in NIL world in 2025 per latest poll Oregon Ducks named among top spenders in NIL world in 2025 per latest poll No specifics were given, but the general belief is that the Ducks are able to spend more than their share in securing some pivotal transfers. "Similar to some of the other stalwarts of the NIL Era, Oregon has not had any problems spending top dollar on players. That has been backed by Nike co-founder Phil Knight, who started the Ducks’ NIL collective and has committed to seeing his alma mater win a national title," On3 writer Pete Nakos said. "Oregon restructured its offensive line with Nevada’s Isaiah World and USC’s Emmanuel Pregnon, both highly valued players."
