  2. Ducks win 3-1 as Anson Aroz blasted through the cold air to clear the fence, and Seth Mattox came in and got another save for Oregon to easily put the Michigan State batters down.
  3. 2-1 Ducks after eight innings. Oregon is living TOO dangerously, as it takes so little for Michigan State to win this game. Stokes plinked a batter, and then gave up a hit. But he came through with runners on the corners to keep the inning scoreless.

  6. 2-1 Ducks after seven innings, as reliever Cole Stokes came in with a Michigan State runner on third, and dissolved the threat.
  7. Sabrina taught me to love ladies college basketball! I have been to Super Bowl, World Series, etc.. Nothing brought me more pleasure than sitting court side watching Sabrina and that team!
  8. 2-1 Ducks after six innings, as the first Michigan State batter caught a pitch and got a double out of it. Then the Spartans sacrificed a grounder and fly ball to score him. Ducks gotta get the bats going! The MSU pitcher does not have a great ERA, but all that matters is how he is pitching TODAY.
  9. 2-0 Ducks after five innings, as Reitz continues to hold them scoreless. A Michigan State batter did get a hit, but catcher Coen Niclai fired to first base after a pitch and delivered a perfect placement for Jacob Walsh to apply the tag and pick-off. Ducks have been doing this extremely well lately! Reitz has been great, and he only has 64 pitches after five innings, thus he could go deep into the game. He is hitting his fastball that is tough with his huge from looming over batters, but he also has a slider that makes the ball trajectory tough to follow. Then he'll throw in a curve-drop ball that leaves them whiffing at the air.
  10. Today
  11. 2-0 Ducks after four innings, as the Oregon offense has stalled, but Jason Reitz keeps that lead over the Spartans.
  12. Hats On! If you don't think that it's a long offseason? There's this. Ranking Oregon Football helmet among Big Ten's best in 2025 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks have long been known as the school with flashy helmets and uniforms, so where do they rank amongst the best in the Big Ten? It's Better in Bloomington! The Hoosiers Strength and Conditioning Coach has turned down an offer to relocate to South Central.
  13. 2-0 Ducks after three innings, as Reitz put the Spartans down 1-2-3. Parker Stinson hit a deep line-drive angling outward in right field, and then it hit their weird hill, skidded into the fence and bounded down...all of which delayed the MSU fielder from getting to it, and thus a double for Stinson. Jacob Walsh grounds out to move Stinson to third, and then Stinson scores on a wild pitch. The field conditions are the worst today for a hitting team, as it is cold and the ball cannot carry over the fence, and the wild is intense and looks bone-chilling. The reporter speaking on the sideline had her bangs blowing all of the place as she was trying to speak, and this will impact hitting, but also pitches.
  14. 1-0 Ducks after two innings. Oregon starter Jason Reitz has allowed hits by Michigan State, but quelled the threat in the first inning and put them out 1-2-3 in the second. Maddox Molony walks, and then Burke-Lee Mabeus hits a deep drive into left field that has a spin that takes the ball into the deep corner to allow Molony to score from first!
  15. In today's starting lineup...we keep Jacob Walsh at first base, move Anson Aroz to center from left, Drew Smith at right field, and because of the injury to center fielder Mason Neville--he is DH, and Dominic Hellman's hitting will be missed this game. Little-used Parker Stinson makes the start at left, as he is a transfer from Indiana State and brought here as a hitter, but was injured early-on.
  16. Yes he underperformed...but in the end having the 'Natty is all that matters. And yes, Chip Kelly did come to the rescue, but that has to be credited to Day because it was Day who hired him.
  17. Hurt = Motivation. Undrafted Traeshon Holden has all the motivation necessary to prove all the other teams wrong. Go Duck Traeshon! Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Traeshon Holden 'Hurt' After Going Undrafted WWW.SI.COM Former Oregon Ducks wide receiver Traeshon Holden has all the motivation he could ask for after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. After signing an undrafte
  18. On top of coming out flat footed... Ohio State was so ridiculously stacked last year, there is no reason they should have ever lost 1 if not two games. I think this is often overlooked, had they run the table, that team would have been in the conversation as one of the top 5 college football teams of all time. The ridiculous talent they brought as transfers that stacked on top of their already deep team put them into another echelon. Just look at the # of players drafted - 14, 2nd most for any team ever (4 of those were 1st rounders.), only the 2022 Georgia team had more with 15. As we all know the advantage of Autzen was at 3.5pts or something, not taking away from the Ducks last year, but it was truly a masterpiece of Lanning to pull off that first win against the Buckeyes. Oregon likely loses 4 of 5, or 9 of 10 to tOSU... Here's my Oregon bias; But I question if what Ryan Day did last year was really as impressive as perceived? You had one of the greatest rosters of all time, yet you lost 2 games? You won the natty which is a great accomplishment and testament to being the best, but did you really underperform? Was it Chip Kelly to the rescue?
  19. Sabrina may very well be the GOAT, but the most transformative player is Caitlyn Clark. The popularity for WNBA basketball is soaring because of her and the attention she has brought to the league.
  20. Neville Homers Twice More to Lead Oregon to a Win EAST LANSING, Mich. — Mason Neville slugged a pair of home runs while Jacob Walsh and Anson Aroz each added a homer to lead No. 6 Oregon to a 13-5 win over Michigan State on Saturday in Big Ten Conference action at McLane Stadium. The Ducks, who evened the series with the win, scored in every inning except the second and third including a four-run inning and three two-run innings. A day after getting a complete game from Grayson Grinsell, starter Collin Clarke and reliever Ian Umlandt combined to pitch all nine innings leaving Oregon with a number of fresh arms for Sunday’s rubber match. How It Happened: After being shutout on Friday, Oregon (32-13, 15-8 Big Ten) wasted no time getting on the board scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Neville walked and Dominic Hellman followed with a double to set up the rally. Drew Smith, who had a pair of hits in game one of the series, picked up Neville with an RBI single moving Hellman to third. Anson Aroz made it 2-0 with a sacrifice fly before Burke-Lee Mabeus drove in Smith with an infield hit. Ryan Cooney capped off the inning with a shot up the right-field line that ricocheted off the umpire keeping it a single but scoring Maddox Molony who walked earlier. Michigan State (24-20, 10-13 Big Ten) got back into the game tying it with a pair or runs in the second and two more in the third. Mason Neville hit TWO homers... Oregon regained the lead in the fourth scoring a pair of runs. Cooney led off the frame with a hit and moved to third on a Carter Garate single before scoring on a throwing error by the MSU pitcher on a comebacker. Garate who moved to third on the error scored on a Hellman swinging bunt. The Ducks added to the lead with two more runs in the fifth and another in the sixth, with all three runs coming via the long ball. Cooney doubled setting the table for Neville who crushed a two-run shot over the right-field fence. Walsh followed the next inning with a solo homer out of the same part of the ballpark. Oregon tacked on another run in the seventh inning. Mabeus led off the inning with his second infield hit of the game before stealing second and moving to third on a Cooney deep fly ball to right field. Garate picked up the RBI executing a perfect squeeze bunt to score Mabeus. Aroz added a two-out solo homer in the eighth before Neville went yard again in the ninth blasting a two-run shot after Garate reached with a two-out infield single. Box Score Notes: Neville now has national-best 23 home runs … He has six career two-home run games and has hit home runs in 20 of 43 games played this season … Walsh has homered in four of the last five games … Clarke had his second consecutive quality start and his fifth of the season … Umlandt’s save was the first of his career. On Deck: The series finale is Sunday (8:35 a.m. PT, B1G+).

  23. No. 3 Oregon wins 14-0 over Michigan State; clinches share of Big Ten - Daily Emerald DAILYEMERALD.COM There are no must-win games in No. 3 Oregon’s (46-6, 18-3 Big Ten) regular season, but there are games in which the Ducks...
  24. Not to quibble, but when the referenced note was posted in March 2024, Clark was as yet unproven in the WNBA. With that rookie year under her belt, I would not argue with Clark being the supernova as stated. The definition of the term is a cosmic explosion that can result in a black hole or cooling cloud of stellar dust. Odds are Clark will continue to shine in the WNBA. She certainly has clout and is a huge draw for the league. Whether or not she is the GOAT remains to be seen, but she is certainly the face of women's professional basketball and has brought unparalleled attention.
  25. Yesterday
  26. Couldn't agree more. Yesterday, Michigan State kind of was the exception that proves the rule. Congrats to them for the win. But Sinicki isn't going to bobble a grounder like that again, and in the 6th, Oregon gets the bases loaded, but doesn't score? It looks like Lombardi handled it perfectly, you're going to lose sometimes, and the response was expected and delivered.
  27. Big Ten Network does a fantastic job of covering the games and celebrations. They stayed around showing the players celebrating with the fans and with each other. Multiple interviews also shown. I'm happy for Coach Lombardi getting her first league title. Hopefully the first of many.
