  2. Where does he go! Anywhere he wants, and he isn't flying Southwest. If I'm wrong, Chipper had better fire his financial advisor. 🤑
  3. We are a poor matchup for UW. Not to say they could never lead or never stress us, but our scheme severely limits their strengths, and then they are left being an above average team playing against tier 1 talent. Now if they come at us with a completely different approach than they've used all season they could give us real trouble for the first half, but it's unlikely.
  4. Canzano reports that Oregon State IS going to interview Wilcox!
  5. ARKANSAS! I don't Gat it!😁
  6. On offense--I'd love to see drives like the final TD that bled a ton of clock, but I am realistic. Washington does not have great pass defense; they can be moved on by the air as well as on the ground. While Oregon has not had the majority of the WRs in the last two games....they adjusted just fine with utilizing "The Beast," Jamari Johnson, Benson, and some McClellan for more than enough balance. I think a balanced attack will score just fine on the Bastard Huskies, and if the defensive line shuts down their run-game and contains Williams...we will do just fine. But that is a lot of requests! Fun article....THANKS Alex!
  7. All good points, but define “helps us”. The conference potentially getting 4 teams in the playoff would definitely help us financially and with recruiting versus the SEC for conference supremacy narratives. That being said, in the here and now, conference championship games are a penalty if you’re already in as an at large host. Either path leads to being 4 games away from a championship, (up to 5 more (!) if you lose the B1G game), but one of those paths includes a home game. Pretty sure I prefer the path with a home game and a cap of 4 more games.
  8. Washington Coach Jedd Fisch Reveals Take on Oregon DucksIn the historic Pacific Northwest rivalry, the Washington Huskies own the all-time record at 64-49-5 over the Oregon Ducks. The last ten matchups have been split right down the middle, 5-5, with Oregon winning in Eugene at Autzen Stadium last season, 49-21 One seems to think that Oregon is locked into the College Football Playoff field, even with a loss to the Huskies this upcoming weekend. Fisch doesn't care and knows how important the result of this matchup is for the pride of the Pacific Northwest community. 11. WOW....We have been blessed to have been able to recruit a coach such as Dan. Props and thanks to Phil & Rob! It all starts with leadership....
  12. I think the defensive strategy this year has been miss diagnosed as a poor pass rushing attack and over looks the suffocating monster that it has become. They are still getting good pressure on the QB but not with a ton of blitzes or gambling edges that lose contain. Instead QB scrambles and explosion plays have been nearly eliminated except for a couple long completions a game which can happen. It's football. USC was tailor made to make this defense to look bad with their ability to win 50/50 battles for catches yet were still held well below their season averages including points. With a mobile QB like the fuskies have, I think this D is exactly what they fear. Contained solid pressure up front with elite DBs sticking with receivers. I don't think UW or almost anybody has an answer for the Ducks run game. I'm looking forward to a methodical dismantling of the purple pups this week.
  13. Dan Lanning slams Trojans with savage rantOne of the great appeals of the "Ducks vs Them" series is that each one shows how a victory came to be, the fuel and the motivation that inspired it. In Monday night's Game 11 cinematic recap, Dan Lanning stands up before his team on Monday and delivers a spoken obituary of the USC program. He holds up the weekly press release from the USC athletic department, highlighting the accomplishments of the past and the Trojan tradition. "They're talking about all the (expletive) they used to have," Lanning said to his team. "That (expletive) don't happen no more. So don't tell me what happened in 1999. It's 2025." In the locker room before the game he told them, “They’re living off their history. Matt Leinart, he ain’t walking through there. Reggie Bush, he ain’t gonna show up.” Autzen ZooDan Lanning slams Trojans with savage rantOne of the great appeals of the "Ducks vs Them" series is that each one shows how a victory came to be, the fuel and the motivation that inspired it.
  14. OBD went 13-0 and won the B1G in their first season in the conference, while beating all the top powers in the process, and literally NOBODY CARES because of what happened in the Rose Bowl.
  15. Normally, I couldn't either. The two greatest seasons Oregon's ever had ended at the hands of Ohio State. But in this situation? It would certainly help us, which is my main concern.
  16. The brain says just slide into the playoffs as #3 BIG team and get a home game but the heart screams back to back BIG champs in two years Hell yes!
  17. I would rather Matayo have zero sacks, but keep Demond Williams contained. He's probably the most athletic QB Oregon will see this year. Hopefully OBD can replicate what OSU and Michigan did against him.

  22. Can both teams lose? The only reason I would have any interest in seeing a winner, is if Michigan could keep Miami out of the playoff. But I think Super Mario will take care of that on their own. Pittsburgh is disciplined enough to beat the sloppy Hurricanes. It's also going to be pretty cold.
  23. Kind of like Day, Freeman,Lanning, Riley, Smart, Sark, or Venables. I would be curious to see if any true tier one jobs will give an assistant the reins in this day and age. By tier, or even resource rich , I mean an upper level B1G, SEC program, or Notre Dame. You could probably include Texas Tech, BYU, or Miami in there as well. They seem to have money to buy transfers.
  24. Husky Injury Update, Preparation for Oregon“I feel like we’re very healthy at this point going into this [Oregon] game,” Jedd Fisch said on Monday of Oregon week. Injuries have hindered the Washington roster throughout this season. It lost all three of its original starting wide receivers in at least some capacity in Rashid Williams, Denzel Boston, and Raiden Vines-Bright. Along the offensive front, injuries to Drew Azzopardi, John Mills, Carver Willis, and Landen Hatchett have shuffled the orientation of the line at different points in the season. Saturday, Fisch expects several of these players back in heightened roles.
