  3. No offense to our SEC folks here, but the SEC clinging to its 8 game schedule is offensive. It's boasting and arrogant, "We're so much better than everybody else". Finebaum's ranting is his job and is just noise. The 8 games is part of the competition, competition that is being swept over, with everything else in the pursuit of money. No SEC fan can laugh at Diego's comments too loudly if they condone the 8 game schedule.
  4. Bret Bielma has coached in the B1G and the SEC. Here are Bielema's thoughts on the SEC, in particular, the SEC staying at 8 games. Bret Bielema puts the SEC on blast over College Football Playoff expansion SATURDAYBLITZ.COM The talk of the entire offseason in College Football this year has been over the format of the College Football Playoff. After just one season in the expanded 1 It's a close call, but I think Bret is a better source than Don Diego.
  5. It's all good. It passes the 'No Mari(o) smell test!'
  6. Because they are women? My comment did not in any manner infer that women who produce the same revenues as men should receive less revenue. Please point out my specific statement(s) that support your belief that my argument discriminates against women? There is 20.5 million dollars to be revenue-shared. Is it not basic economics that the people providing the vast majority of the revenue, football and men's basketball, should receive a greater share of the revenue? If they do not continue to produce the same revenue, men's and women's tennis and many other sports will disappear, and the Athletic department will be in the red and not the black Your idea of 'fairness' and mine differ. I don't believe those who produce less money deserve a share equal to those who produce more. I don't believe a woman tennis player struggling on the circuit deserves the same money as Coco Gauff. I know for a fact the struggling player will not appear on a Wheaties box as does Coco. I also do not think women on the pro circuit deserve the same prize money as the men's tour, which brings in far more dollars. This is not an argument founded in 'equality,' but rather, founded on economics. A person's sex should not ipso facto equate to receiving the same money as another person who produces more money. I understand and support LSU women's gymnast Livvy Dunne making millions of dollars more in NIL income than Michigan men's champion gymnast Fred Richard. I see no argument that would justify Fred making the same money as Livvy simply because he's a man. Regardless of sex, people who produce less revenue do not deserve the same return as those who produce more revenue. Thank you for the reply.

  9. Oregon football extends offer to 2029 OT prospect Xavier Berry There's planning ahead, and then there is this. Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks have extended a scholarship offer to Xavier Berry, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive lineman from Puyallup, Wash. Berry's weight might be considered light for a college offensive lineman, but it's understanding for his age, as he will be entering the eighth grade in the fall. Yes, the eighth grade. Oregon football extends offer to 2029 OT prospect Xavier Berry DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks extended a scholarship offer to 2029 offensive tackle Xavier Berry, a head-turning 8th grader.

  11. Vandy's non-conference schedule speaks for itself (Utah State, Ga Southern, Charleston Southern and Va Tech), but I'm willing to bet that they drop at least two of the four.
  12. I am surrounded by Beavs at work.....and they lit the cigar early. Today will be a glum hump day.
  13. Federal funding, hell even state funding, has become a smaller piece of the Total Revenue for many Power 4 schools since 1965 or whenever Title IX was enacted. I wonder if some schools would opt to forgo federal funding to avoid the sports revenue sharing? Especially if research grants, as opposed to financial aid, are considered outside the definition of Title IX federal funding.
  14. Kayvon Thibodeaux working hard to do whatever it takes for the team to succeed. Best of luck to Kayvon. Geaux Thibodeaux! New York Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux Gives Injury Update, Eyes NFL Sack Record WWW.SI.COM Former Oregon Duck turned New York Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux isn’t afraid to dream big. For the second year in a row, he said he’s entering the season
  15. Yep...it cost us a 'Natty.
  16. DAT is excluded for not knowing how to block downfield and costing us dearly.
  17. Methinks Diego may be a bit previous in his thoughts... too many (head) shots?
  18. I remember one game distinctly from the Ducks 2007 season. It was a top five matchup against Arizona State, the Ducks rolled in that game. Dixon definitely looked like a Heisman contender. My fan hood being what it is, I can't say Dixon should've won it over Tebow. But the Ducks had a better season that year and Dixon would've been a worthy winner. I actually think Tebow had a better season in '08, the team obviously did as they won the National Championship.
  19. This serves a great opportunity to invoke the famous Mark Twain axiom, ‘better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt’.
  20. He definitely won't be eating from a Playoff Bowl.
  21. I think Don Diego has caught the Sankey 'It Just Means More' flu? Propaganda over Facts? I'm shocked! Vanderbilt Commodores football star Diego Pavia lashes out at strange target in spirited rant WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Vanderbilt Commodores football star Diego Pavia took shots at the Big Ten conference in a strange rant. I wonder how low Vandy dropped its admission standards for this guy? As far as I can tell, Don Diego has never played against a team from the B1G. Here's a sampling of B1G vs SEC from the year 2024-25. B1G 4th place Ohio State - 2 - 0 / B1G 7th place USC 2 - 0 / B1G 6th place Michigan 1-0 9-3 South Carolina, "screwed out of a PO spot", lost to B1G 5th place 9-3 Illinois. Don, take 2 B1G pills and call me in the morning.
  22. When do the Ducks get to serve his lunch?
  23. Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia jabbing Big Ten seems laughable WWW.YARDBARKER.COM The Big Ten has long been considered the second-best conference in college football behind the SEC.
  24. Yeah, Beaver Nation was going crazy after they tied it up, but they left runs on the bases and Louisville made them pay for it. Oh well, football is coming up, Beavs.
  25. Yesterday
  26. Valiant comeback by Beavs, down 6-3 in 9th to tie it, helped by a massive error by the SS. Cards walk it off in bottom of inning with a sac fly, scoring the SS who made the error.
