So my dad moved us from CA to BC Canada when I was 11. I learned hockey following the Vancouver Canucks, when they weren't too good. It was several years before they didn't lose to the Montreal Canadiens, a 0-0 tie! The era of John Ferguson, Yvan Cournoyer, Frank Mohovolich and others. Bobby Orr was the 'great' before Gretzky. I had season tickets to Pdx Winterhawks for a few years in late 80's. Great times. Was there for the Memorial Cup. I'm hoping the Ducks will one day be a true varsity team. NIL will help get quality players. Could be awesome. Btw, I was at Oregon my last year when the Olympics 'miracle on ice' took place. I was so ecstatic, tried to convince my friends of the incredible event, none were impressed or cared. But I remember very well, "do you believe in miracles?" Yes I do! Sco Ducks!!

Class of '28 6'/175 DB from Hamilton, AZ. In a 5 game sophomore season (transfer rules limitation), he had 20 tackles/1 sack/2 picks/4 pass breakups, in addition to 311 yards/3 tds, as as a WR. So far, he has offers from UNLV, UNC, Memphis, and ASU. No idea if the 16 year old is on OBD radar.

While the injuries are indeed a problem, this wasn’t a serious team at full strength. OBD would have been lucky to get to 16 wins at full strength imo.

This team is currently 315th in FG% and 275th in scoring offense. Just wow. For reference, 91-92 was 238th in scoring offense.

He is a true 4-Star with Rivals, and besides Oregon he had a long list offered, but the other notable ones were Michigan, Nebraska, UCLA, and Utah. Whew! Looks pretty lean for 280 pounds!

He is a Rivals 3-Star, but other than USC and Michigan listed above, he was offered also by Nebraska, UCLA, and Washington. (Ha!) Every class in the trenches will have some "upside" projects, and it is good policy to make those offers. In today's portal-transfer environment--if it does not work out, then they will voluntarily leave to make room for a new project.

Rebuilding can be done with the portal for a team that had a losing record. Creating a Championship caliber team via 40 portal players seems a stretch. Lame Kiffen abandoned his team, and I, along with every Ole Miss fan would enjoy watching LSU struggle just to watch an LSU donor meltdown.
