Yes, the time was moved up two hours because of weather, so unfortunately....I have an appointment this afternoon that I cannot miss. I will probably begin posting in the fourth or fifth inning, and will try to catch you all up gradually. Let's go Ducks!

Update: Mens Basketball is Down to Only ONE Scholarship Holdover
NEWS: Oregon guard Jamari Phillips is entering the transfer portal, @LeagueRDY has learned. The 6-4 sophomore and former four-star recruit has played the last two seasons for the Ducks. Native of Modesto, California. Averaged 2.7PPG this season. Portal Kwame Evans Jackson Shelstad Dezdrick Lindsay Devon Pryor JJ Frakes Wei Lin Ege Demir Jamari Phillips Efe Vatan Seniors who departed Nate Bittle Takai Simpkins Drew Carter Oleksandr Kobzystyi Miles Stewart Oregon’s current 26-27 basketball roster: Guards: Seven Spurlock (FR) - committed March 29 (decommit from ASU) Rian Gonzalez (FR, Walk On) Forwards: Sean Stewart (SR) - FR at Duke, So at Ohio St, Jr at Oregon Luke Johnson (JR, Walk On) Tajh Ariza (FR) - recruit - signed November 13 Kendre Harrison (FR) - recruit - football & basketball So, one holdover schollie guy at this point. Several programs are facing similar circumstances. Indiana entered the 2024-25 season with 11 transfers-in, 5 freshman recruits, and 1 holdover. This is going to create some interesting coaching scenarios across the nation. It won't just be Altman who will have to conduct a meet and greet to start every practice.

Update: Mens Basketball is Down to Only ONE Scholarship Holdover
I’m having a hard time getting over the 39% FG percentage. It seems like we always have plenty of shot takers and not enough shot makers.

A Duck football fan here, but a VCU Rams basketball fan. That said, the Ducks are talking with Terrence Hill Jr. a VCU player (from Portland) in the portal. We'd love to keep Terrence, but if he goes somewhere else I really hope it's Oregon. Oh, and don't sell Jayden Reid short (even at 5'10") he's a baller. If you get him, you'll love watching him play.

I have a vision.... Mac Court is converted into an Ice Arena to house Oregon's new hockey team. I see no downside to this. Go Ducks!

Oregon Football Bets Big on Spring Rebuild
Rebuild? How about Reload? 14 starters back. Tied for the second most in CFB behind SC with 15 back. Holes to be filled, especially on the O-line, but far better than 2025 when only a handful of starters returned. However, this season's schedule is more difficult than that of 2024 and 2025. New OC and DC? Yes. But no major systemic changes will be introduced. Beat Boise!

Update: Mens Basketball is Down to Only ONE Scholarship Holdover
The Michigan model of ‘Win Now’ not only requires a fat transfer wallet, but also suggests coaching may now be moving away from player development, and towards utilizing the already formed skill-sets of veteran top talent into more or less straight forward offensive and defensive schemes that focus on advantageous match-ups. It’s one-on-one at both ends of the floor with a vengeance. For Dana, this model represents a big shift away from what has been his strengths: recruiting good to excellent high school talent that he can then gradually shape into ‘his team’ over the course of a season. Where Dana exemplifies the college value of teaching, Dusty May has brought off-the-shelf pro moneyball squarely into the NCAA limelight.

Oregon Football Bets Big on Spring Rebuild
Great article! I think all eyes are going to be on Coach Drew and how he handles the offense. Secondary stories would be: How will the rebuilt OL mesh and build chemistry quickly Dante Moore's year 2 improvement (I'm looking for better reads, fewer INTs, step up in big games) Who will step up in the LB group? Embarrassment of riches at WR, who will rise to the top?

Spring practice kicked off in Eugene on March 12, and the Ducks are operating with a kind of controlled urgency that gets college football fans and bettors paying attention months ahead of schedule. If you completed your 1xbet sign up before bowl season even wrapped, Oregon’s offseason might have justified the decision on its own. Dan Lanning lost both coordinators, ... Update: Mens Basketball is Down to Only ONE Scholarship Holdover
Vatan is in the portal now, so down to one holdover. This is not ideal: "It wasn't unexpected," Altman said. "There were three guys we really wanted back — Sean and KJ and Jackson, three starters. We did not pull anybody scholarship. Everybody had their scholarship would have been renewed, but we are working with the budget, and some guys are going to lose their NIL. Most of them are taking a reduction, big reduction."
