  1. I agree with Charles. As long as Our Beloved Ducks are in the big leagues, college football is not ruined. With all the talk of a 14 team playoff, that sounds like the B1G and SEC are trying to throw the other conferences a life line. Considering how much power the B1G and SEC have, a 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, etc model seems more than generous. I would advise them to jump at it. Go Ducks.
  2. I didn't think it was a bad look at all. At least from my understanding of things. Herbie's "influence" was good for college football, assuming Raiola is as good as predicted. ESPN might be upset with him, "influencing" the young star from the ESPN conference straight to the competition in Nebraska and the FOX conference. Go Ducks!
  3. I agree with the High Red Alert. I would suspect Alabama already has their guy, the rest of the world just doesn't know it yet. Go Ducks!
  4. "The Border Problem". That sounds like a great name for a rivalry between Oregon and Washington. Go Ducks!
  5. I understand what you are saying, but I don't think it has changed too much, other than it changes everything. Lol. There are roughly the same amount of starting QB's as there were decades ago.
  6. This Michigan story keeps popping up, and I haven't been paying much attention to it. However, I'm curious if Mr. Stalions ever took the time to watch TCU last year. Go Ducks!
  7. Go Ducks! I can understand the logic in many of those "terrible" decisions. Whether I would have done the same is a different story. We can say "kick the FG, kick the FG", but at the end of the game, he kicks the FG, and misses. The choice is obvious now, but at the time I appreciated the aggressiveness of going for the throat.
  8. This is pretty awesome news! Now, is anybody else here questioning why the pac-12 hasn't hired Herbert's agent, to negotiate this upcoming media deal?
  9. It seems to me that this is the slippery slope we've mentioned before. Whether I like it or not, is of no concern. The players wanted this. They are able to benefit from their success, and that is wonderful. If a coach has an opportunity to move to greener pastures, they can. The players also wanted that freedom, and now they have it. However, if a coach isn't successful, he can be fired. The players are beginning to see that bitter part of the world. Right now, everyone is learning to navigate these new seas. Go Ducks!!!
  10. I also was hoping they would be more aggressive. If some of these other conferences don't want to play nice, plant a flag in the heart of Dallas. Logistics could be an issue, but plant a flag at UConn, or even make a run at Florida State. It may be unrealistic, but I bet a swinging deal could be made.
