  1. Past hour
  2. It would seem that Lombardi and her program have not only benefitted from the national impression of Oregon leading as a transfer friendly atmosphere, long established by the football program, but embraced it. We are becoming among the best places to be for top athletes to take the next step in their development. That said, the question still remains as to how to transfer that same energy and impression to high school recruits, irregardless of the eventual fate of NIL.
  3. I saw a few comments on another site saying he was reclassifying as well. But I haven't been able to follow that up anywhere. But this one feels like it's a closer to home and a bigger payout was at play. It feels like Oregon never really had either parent fully recruited and both were wanting either more money (dad presumably) or closer to home (mom). This recruiting cycle has really become a bidding war. Yes, previous cycles had this aspect about it but this one really feels like players are going wherever the largest payout is coming from. I think Oregon will bring in a fine class but less flashy than it could have been with some of this crazy spending.
  4. Oh well. His loss.

  6. Former Oregon football 5-star announces commitment to SEC school DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Former Oregon Ducks commit, 5-star EDGE Richard Wesley, announced his commitment to an SEC school on Sunday.
  7. The one positive, perhaps with the Portal is that here is hardly anytime where nothing is going on.
  8. Exactly! Perhaps Brown & Taylor would do better sizing 42 regulars and leave football prognosticating to people better suited.
  9. Since year one, Lanning has not lost a game against anybody that did not play in the championship that year. How many other coaches have played five games in three years against teams that played in the championship? If Lanning were at Bama and Deboer was at UO, we all know who would be favored to win the title first. This article shows the fear that UO may have already moved past Bama on the current era tier list. How many more years does Mario need for "his" guys to get it done? Riley? Now Deboer is on that list. The media is afraid of the impressive trajectory the Ducks have been on since Lanning's arrival. A bad matchup due to the boneheaded playoff format is all that kept the Ducks from meeting the Buckeyes in the championship last year. This year's team may be the best ever by season's end after the young Ducks gain starting experience. That doesn't bode well for the traditional super powers or their fan bases that these writers need to appease. The Ducks are the new villain on the block and I'm loving every minute of it.
  10. Oregon football offers brother of 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho Oregon football offers brother of 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks extended a scholarship offer to Michael Iheanacho, the brother of a major 5-star target on Sunday.
  11. 5-star Immanuel Iheanacho takes on Dan Lanning in push-up contest during Oregon visit 5-star Immanuel Iheanacho takes on Dan Lanning in push-up contest during Oregon visit DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning took on OT Immanuel Iheanacho in a push-up contest during the 5-star's official visit.
  12. Oregon Ducks Offensive Line Candidate For Joe Moore Award? With three Joe Moore Award Finalist nominations since 2019, the Oregon Ducks are back again with a re-vamped "Law Firm" in the trenches. According to a new offensive line ranking, analysts have the Ducks as a top-10 unit in the country. Oregon Ducks Offensive Line Candidate For Joe Moore Award? WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks' offensive line, also known as the
  13. Oregon Ducks' Secondary Predicted To Be Among Nation's Best Units The 2025 Oregon Ducks' secondary is predicted to be No. 6 nationally ahead of the season. The additions of defensive backs like Dillon Thieneman, Jadon Canady and Theran Johsnon will fill the gaps left by the secondary starters who left for the NFL, while Jahlil Florence and Peyton Woodyard return. Oregon Ducks' Secondary Predicted To Be Among Nation's Best Units WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks’ defense was a key cog in the program's route to a 13-1 record in 2024, ranking among the best in the nation. The Ducks’ secondary will look qu
  14. Miami Comments are MIA. Miami Hurricanes under fire following Wisconsin's tampering lawsuit WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM The Miami Hurricanes and Wisconsin Badgers could soon find themselves going head to head... in the court room.
  15. Should have just merged with the MWC and secured a $10m - $12m/team media rights deal that included Vegas in their footprint IMO. I could have nearly respected that. Instead the 2 oinkers clutched to their lottery winnings to live “high on the hog” for 18 months.
  16. What if....this new conference pulls Boise State down instead of elevating them? (Like an inadvertent loss or two in this weak conference?)
  17. Both are really outstanding players that Coach Lombardi has plucked from the portal. Very impressive...
  18. I think Alex's numbers are a fun goal, but the real question is consistency. It is hard to break into CFB, and do it consistently, and thus why it is so hard for a freshman. But he has the upside!
  19. Not a great spot for a conference when your best team is in the 30s and your second best is in the 70s. Boise should be happy with this arrangement.
  20. B1G Twosomes - College football's dynamic duos: Penn State, Texas tandems set to define 2025 national championship race - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The road to the College Football Playoff runs through these one-two punches
  21. SP+ Pac 8 Rankings - Texas State has to move up 60 spots to be ranked alongside Boise State. SP+ ranks 136 teams in its 2025 preseason rankings. 33. Boise State 73. Oregon State 82. Washington State 89. Fresno State 93. Texas State 97. Colorado State 102. San Diego State 119. Utah State That's a lot of mis-states, no? I could not find a ranking for GONZO.
  22. Using the SEC-biased FPI to support the SEC, or an SEC team, in any discussion is lazy, biased journalism. Who in Hades are the referenced Brown and Taylor? Are they haberdashers? Because Brown and Taylor sounds like a good name for a clothing store. I'm pretty sure that in 2024-25, OBD defeated an all-hands-on-deck Michigan team in The Big House and Bama lost to a depleted Wolverines team in Dixie. And I don't think OBD loses to Vandy or Oklahoma.
  23. Thanks, Steven. Interesting twist. This litigation, supported by the B1G, will not help a Miami move to the B1G when the ACC exit fee goes down in 2030 and/or the ACC folds. Especially if Mario is still at the helm.
  24. With friends, er, family, like this? The attached article notes that the Canes' offer came with more money. (DUH!) Will Cane be Able to beat the rap? I have yet to see a response from The U, the ACC, and Mari(o). I believe it is likely that ACC schools, possibly including Miami, had direct payment deals in place, pending approval of the House settlement. Does the ACC want to support all such agreements being unenforceable? Miami fans: 'This wasn't tampering because the House settlement had not yet been approved.' If consideration (in this case, $) was given to the young man with a condition subsequent, that the settlement was approved by the court, then the contract, except for fraud or coercion, should stand. A surprising twist in who exposed Miami in Wisconsin’s lawsuit BADGEROFHONOR.COM Wisconsin taking Miami to court over Xavier Lucas' tampering continues to unfold with all sorts of twists and turns. Each day, as more reporters and people dig
  25. Players for 2026 to 2029 Tracking every Oregon football scholarship offer from June recruiting cycle DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks have been busy on the recruiting trail, and here is a look at the many offers that they have made in the past month.
  26. From Notre Dame this time. Addison Amaral has two years of eligibility remaining. She hit .349 with 19 home runs and 95 RBIs and an on base % of .463 Ducks add All-ACC infielder Addison Amaral from Notre Dame
  27. They say DeBoer based upon track record. Not so fast my friend. Kalen DeBoer and Dan Lanning Debate Settled in Major Alabama O-Line Update - EssentiallySports WWW.ESSENTIALLYSPORTS.COM College football analysts draw a clear picture about the 2025 National Championship run between Kalen DeBoer and Dan Lanning DeBoer's Pennix and WRs were the difference, abet by 3 points most of the time.
