  2. I was only mildly surprised at our offensive performance, since Rutgers has a horrible defense, especially when it comes to explosive plays. I was extremely surprised how much our defense dominated them, because their offense was supposed to be pretty good. The most surprising thing for me this game was learning from the announcer that Rutgers started in 1766, 10 years before the Declaration of Independence. That's freaking old.
  3. OMG... The Comedy of Errors of lil bro up north may turn into OSU's first win of the season, vs powerhouse LAFAYETTE. The Beavs have over 260 rushing, and lead 38-13. Amazing what happens when a middling FCS opponent plays a late night game 3 time zones west... The Leopards body clock is around 2am by now.
  4. According to various chat board reports Novosad was injured earlier this year. As I recall, he did not make the trip to Northwestern, for example. Akili Jr. is redshirting. On the meter that measures 4 game limit during regular season to not lose a year of eligibility, the 2025 participation meter shows: Moore: 7 games Thomas: 5 games Moga: 3 in 2025, was under 4 in 2024 Novosad: 1 in 2025, was under 4 in 2024 and 2023. But, Novosad has already been around 2 seasons and played under 4 in both. If so, his 5 years to play 4 would already have used up a redshirt, plus one, leaving 3 including 2025. Maybe they are hoping 2025 can be appealed to add back the year as an injury year so he would have 3 instead of 2? There are such NCAA appeals available. Sometimes, lately, the program and the kid cooperate to keep the year of eligibility, so he is more attractive if he decides to transfer. Not suggesting that is happening right now between Novosad and Oregon staff...I have no idea...but it does happen more frequently now around college football.

  6. Well Kirk is now doing MNF, he's doing the 3:30 ET games. He has that segment where he travels from Game day to whatever game he's doing with his dog Peter. Franklin might get the Saban rub that way. Would it still count?
  7. Winners and Losers in Oregon's resounding win. Oregon Ducks On SIBiggest Winners, Losers From Oregon's Resounding Win Agai...After falling 30-20 to the Indiana Hoosiers in week 7, the No. 8 Oregon Ducks were looking to return to the offensive firepower that fans have been accustomed t
  8. The mighty Beavers are locked in a ferocious battle against Louisiana Lafayette at home right now. Third quarter, they are down 13-10, truly a classic. That interim coach is coaching for his career. I don't know his name, but he kind of looks like Patrick Stewart. " Phasers ready Mr. Worf"
  9. Last week may have been mostly former PAC 12 retreads... Any body check?
  10. I am surprised it was that much of a dominating performance. I thought we would probably win a route, but after the first possession it was just one way traffic the entire way, I also was surprised to see Rutgers have no success at all in the passing game, they have good receivers and a decent QB, but it was just stifled for the entire night. Great job by everyone.
  11. Penn State had horrible play from their QB, but their running game gave Iowa all they could handle. They have talent. They just need to harness it. Ohio State will be too much for them, but they have Indiana at home after that. Penn State could still throw a wrench in the playoff like ASU did today.
  12. I was surprised with how the Ducks completely put it on Rutgers in the first half. They were pissed off and took it out on the Scarlet Knights. At least we know this team will not roll over and die like Penn State did. Credit to the players from putting the Indiana game behind them and traveling all the way across the country to kick some a#%. Keep improving week after week so you are peaking at the end of the year.
  13. One of the biggest difference between this week and last week was that last week's ref crew was a lot more flag happy in general. Oregon has gotten used to a lot of flags not being thrown for rough and boarderline holding play. Last week's crew was throwing flags... this week's crew really wasn't which has been more of the norm throughout the season to date.
  14. Hopefully, Oregon can make the playoffs to see if we can respond to getting punched in the mouth against a good team vs front-running against a weaker team.
  15. I feel bad for Wisconsin fans. Two straight weeks of not scoring a point is going to stretch to three next week. Oregon wants to dominate, and I think they want to prove a point going forward that they aren't going to mess around with middling to lower tier B1G squads. Wisconsin made the game ugly last year. Oregon is going to pounce. The only question is will Fickell make it to Eugene and then get fired, or is he gone tomorrow?
  16. Sadiq remained out for precautionary reasons Oregon's Dan Lanning Gives Injury Update on Kenyon Sadiq After Rutgers Win
  17. BeaverStateDuck! With a final score of 56-10, and his guess of 52-9 was only FIVE points off the total! Pretty darn good, and it was GREAT to see a Duck fan rewarded for being super-positive, instead being a bit hesitant as most of us are prone to be after tough loss. Thanks to all who had fun with it, and CONGRATS again to BeaverStateDuck! I Was Almost Right There With You!
  18. Noah doubt about it. Oregon Ducks Offensive Star Earns MVP in 56-10 Win over Rutgers
  19. Now that is a rebound...27 yards shy of their school record, compiling 750 yards of offense Oregon hits 750 yards in win at Rutgers: Which stats stood out most
  20. Everything Oregon coach Dan Lanning said after 56-10 road win at Rutgers
  21. The 2025 coaching carousel may not have enough horses to sit all the riders? The Penn State AD wants his next coach to Natty Chops. Mr. AD, based on prior results, here is your list of candidates: Saint Nick Saban, Mack Brown (past his Use By date), Dabo Swinney (he may be past his Use By date), Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, Ed Ogeron (The Beavers have Dibs), and Jim Show-Cause Harbaugh. The good news, Mr. AD, is that Jim Franklin can't wait to start coaching again. Jim's new coaching salary will save $10 million or so in termination fees. Maybe enough to hire a 62-year-old who has won at the D III, D II, and FCS levels, but nada in the B1G Leagues? Jimmy might have his choice of the following gigs: Arkansas, Florida (but Billy won today!), Auburn (will it mean MO if Hugh doesn't freeze and wins today?), LSU (Brian's $1 million contribution didn't help buy enough dudes), Virginia Tech, perhaps South Carolina if Baby Beamer takes the VA Tech job voluntarily before he's fired, Florida State (Mike, it's better to start slow and finish strong), UCLA (although I think Skipper should continue to Captain the Bruins), Wisconsin, and possibly, Michigan State, with the last three giving you a shot at payback. College Football needs its own game of Monopoly.
  22. Not really if you look at the results on my prediction contest score 49-17 (it was 56-10), I called 3 take-aways, we had 3...6 sacks, we had 3. 335 passing yards, we had 338 3 turnovers (by 3 starters) was a surprise. Total yardage domination (750-202) and holding the hyped Rutgers passing game to 79 yds...pleasant surprise
  23. What about Akili Jr???
  24. If he’s transferring the it means he thinks he won’t start next season. Read into that what you will.
  25. I was surprised by Kenyon Sadiq's monster game, until he got dinged up. He's obviously the best player on the field when he is healthy, so I'm guessing he was not healthy verses Indiana. If he was, different outcome!
  26. Never a ... OK, I had more than a few doubts coming into this game. And the start was - Oh No! 🤬 But after the 1st half of the first quarter, I simply relaxed and enjoyed.😍 OBD got right, left, north, south, east, west, 360 degrees RIGHT and then some! There is a B1G gap between the upper tier of this conference and the bottom third. That was a fun, fun, fun watch. Daddy, don't take the Offense away! As you so noted, Charles, it was so good to see the OL play Monster Mash. BLAST BUCKY!
