  2. Doctor, Doctor! For Pawaalll's sake, someone call the Programming Doctor. 🤪
  3. Indeed. The FIU, Who Knew!, defense held up well late into yesterday's game against the Nits rushing attack. Of course, this game was a Snooze Out and not a White Out. This will be OBD's D 3rd game vs. DC Jim Knowles. OBD is 1-1. Many solid players on the D side of the ball for Penn State, but Caleb Downs is not one of them. The Ducks have the weapons to win a shootout. No doubt, Week 5 will be a B1G test.
  4. Article coming out tomorrow that looks at our depth. We have some INSANE depth this year. Though I don't not want to see any injuries we have the depth to take a few hits.

  6. We each can do that with the dashboard at the top of each post. The "T" with the up/down arrows, when clicked on gives you the option to increase the size of text that you have highlighted. It helps until we get the font size changed...
  7. Legit concern. I'm looking to see a bit more from those guys. Oregon is not in the top 10 in rushing or passing defense, and barely top 10 in scoring defense... against poorer competition. We are sitting at 46th nationally for sacks. 75th in tfl's...
  8. I will say this, The Ducks first 2 games have been astounding. The total package of the Offense incl blocking and pass protection is awesome.
  9. My main concern at this time is the inside D-line. Can they hold up to a rush attack from Penn State?
  10. Is Dan Lanning’s ‘Set the Standard’ Mentality the Difference Maker in 69-3 Blowout against Oklahoma?Oregon’s 69-3 demolition of Oklahoma State on Saturday was not just another win. It reflected head coach Dan Lanning’s message, which continues to define the program. Is Dan Lanning’s ‘Set the Standard’ Mentality the Differe...Dan Lanning’s “set the standard” mantra fueled Oregon’s 69-3 thrashing of Oklahoma State, as 28 different Ducks made tackles and the offense racked up 631 yards.
  11. Yeah.... this'll be a 'wait and see' thing for me. (as I frantically knock on every bit of wood I can find) This years team looks the part... but here's the thing - so did last years team.
  12. I was just watching highlights, thinking of past teams, & thinking "hmm, we may actually have all the ingredients this year, barring injury..."
  13. Fundamentals are off the charts so far this season... and the best part? There's still room to grow!! I'm super excited to see the progress of this hungry team! 🦆 Side note, why am I seeing some posts in super large text? Is it my side?
  14. Ducks jumped Penn St. Let's hope that happens again on 9/27 Big Ten Week 2 power rankings: Ducks threatens Buckeyes at the top
  15. Let's hope they got it right this time. Oregon Ducks take over as championship favorites, per ESPN FPI

  17. I always thought he had good short area quickness, but have been surprised with his top speed. He's also improved tremendously in his understanding of spacing and calculating the optimal path.
  18. Again, with the 28.5. When will the oddsmakers learn? Oregon football opens as massive favorite on the road at Northwestern for week three
  19. Oregon delivered a layered, complete-team performance Saturday, overwhelming Oklahoma State 69-3 in a game where the Ducks controlled every phase. The stat sheet tells one story—631 total yards, 10.2 yards per play, and nine different touchdown scorers—but the tape and PFF grades reveal why this was more than just talent on display. From a creative opening script to defensive opportunism and elite special teams execution, this was Oregon playing complementary football at a championship level. 21. This may be our year to win the Joe Moore Award, not to mention the Rimington award. BTW Pickard is still our #2 center, but he seems better this year.
  22. So... If USF shocks Miami next week with a win, do we start to consider them a real playoff contender? Or do we already? It's conceivable that they could win out after next week and be in regardless of a loss to Miami. A win in the conference championship game vs Tulane/Memphis (or whoever is will be) could place them as a higher seed, yes? I'm not a bracketologist by any means, so perhaps one of you smart folks could explain that. Also, how awesome would it be if they beat Miami?? (unlikely)
  23. I meant what I said, Montana State is probably a better team than the next 3 teams on our schedule. Maybe not in talent, but on the whole, a better team. Maybe Cooper Perry deserves his own thread this week. Some of the statements made by Dan Lanning to date about him were so strong, they were difficult to take seriously, but Perry may be that good. One of those slot receivers that can get open at will, and never drops the ball, and has some wiggle after the catch. If you absolutely have to have 3-7 yards in 1 down, he's the guy to do it. The route tree has improved. It's doing a better job at intentionally winning the numbers game to get specific receivers open in specific areas of the field. I think Douglas has contributed to that. How about the double reverse flea flicker field side screen pass play? I've never seen that before, but it's brilliant. I wish we'd saved it for Penn State. The one thing we are missing on the DL line is a Jamari Cardwell type NT that can't be moved off the ball. I'm not sure our run defense is better this year. There times when the OSU OL were road grading us. I'm sure there were some schematic reasons for those plays, but I'm nervous about the Penn State and Miami's of the world. At least our DL sees something similar in practice every day.
  24. Yes, how about those Ducks! Best quote from Lanning, "I told our team right before the game, it never requires extra motivation for an opportunity to go out and kick butt but it never hurts when someone pours gasoline on the fire." Autzen ZooHow about those Ducks! There's a growing feeling among Duck fans that this could be a special season.
  25. Was Skattebo for Dillingham as Penix was for DeBoer?
  26. Their Clemson win is looking less good as Clemson barely edged pass Troy. I have a feeling that BOTH teams were overrated in that game. We'll have to wait and find out.
  27. That's kinda what I thought at first. I just thought they were putting Moga in first and Novosad would get some reps later. I was surprised to not see Novosad at all. Thomas getting some reps with the 3s and 4 made sense. I wouldn't want my backup to take a hit like Thomas did. No offense to Thomas. But Thomas as a walk on has also earned some reps with his hard work and the last couple series of a blow out is absolutely the time to do it. Northwestern and Oregon State are up next. The backups will certainly get playing time in both of those so we'll have to wait and see who gets those reps.
