  2. Great game! OT is always fun.
  3. Get paid millions to go away? Not what happens to me!
  4. USA Today is PO benching the ACC - 😁 CFP rankings prediction, updated College Football Playoff bracket
  5. Yes he has, but there is a whole lot to love about his NFL play so far! He obviously has the physical talent to make dang near any play or throw, but what is so impressive to me is that he is doing it mentally as well. His work ethic and smarts are very impressive, and it takes that to be successful in the NFL. I’m a big fan of Nix!!!
  6. Today
  7. Nix still making some avoidable mistakes but that's normal for a young QB in the league.
  8. Have to say Mariota is looking as good as I've seen him in the NFL. His throws are well placed.
  9. They have, Mariota with the one bad play, but overall both have played very well! Mariota doing very well getting rid of the ball quickly to offset that pass rush!
  10. More axes than a Cal vs Stanford game. Is Mark Stoops next? ESPN.comKentucky expected to fire Stoops, sources sayKentucky is expected to fire football coach Mark Stoops, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Sunday, with the process set to formally play out Monday.
  11. "In the second half, Oregon’s Jeremiah McClellan made an unbelievable one-handed catch with all five fingers for a first down, while the defender was holding McClellan’s right arm right in plain sight of the sideline official, the one who usually calls pass interference. There was a review of the play and the incomplete call of the official was ruled “upheld.” There should have not been a review, there should have been a PASS INTERFERENCE CALL, for the same reason Oregon corners holding and not looking for the ball are routinely being called!" (Ken Woody)
  12. Good game. Both Oregon quarterbacks playing well! Go Ducks!
  13. Good game! Washington WR Burks has made a ridiculous TD catch to put Washington up by 1 point. I gotta pull for Bo and his Broncos, but Washington making this a game for sure!
  14. Oregon QBs facing off against each other on Sunday Night Football, so far both have had some great moments and some bad. Nix had an amazing TD throw as he was being dragged to the ground. Mariota has made timely runs and veteran throws.
  15. Kentucky just fired Mark Stoops. I understand your OC,Will Stein, is high on their list.
  16. How times have changed for fans in the last 2 seasons! As a fan, we used to root for the Ducks to win the PAC and play in the Rose Bowl. Or get an invite to the Fiesta Bowl. Then the BCS (Or the complete BS vote) and we rooted for the Ducks to make #1 or #2. (Dyer was fricking down) Then the format expanded so the Top 4 teams were invited. (Destroyed FSU and put Winston on his arse. And then discovered how far we needed to go to compete with tOSU) In each season we rooted to finish as highly ranked as possible. Angst ruled supreme as others picked the opponents for the beauty contest. And we got left out sometimes. Then the CFP expands to 12 in 2024. And DL and OBD's deliver a perfect regular season and a BIG Title and reach the #1 seed. Then we learn a valuable lesson as seeds 1-4 lose in the quarter finals. Terrible format, terrible format! Now this whacked out formula has some of us rooting for OBD's to NOT be ranked in the Top 4. I have followed CF since 1958 on the radio first, then TV. The only way we could watch the Apple Cup is when the local station covered it. ABC had Michigan vs tOSU first, then UCLA vs USC. No pre-game, no post game! No other football mattered. Thankfully i moved to Portland in 1984 and was just plain Happy to be a Duck. In all that time I have rooted for my team to finish first. First........ Until this 2025 season. Strange times. Once we lost to IU that focus changed to just be Top 9. This new 12 team format allows teams and their fans to lose a game or 2 and still have a shot at the CFP. That is plain awesome. As soon as the CFP cuts back to 8 or expands to 16, then we can eliminate the bye week and get back to rooting for our team to finish as highly ranked as possible. It just seems right! Sorry for the rant.... GO DUCKS!
  17. The offensive fire power is notably elite for next year. RB's and receivers are nearly fully coming back. The O-line looks amazing. The D back field is almost entirely coming back The D line is questionable. Next year schedule is a bit tough though. 11-1 next year as well but QB play will be better!
  18. Ridiculous!!! Here's the record of (M)is(S)ed U since 2016. '16-3 wins, '17-9 wins, '18-7 wins, '19-6 wins, '20 3 for 7 due to Covid, '21-10 wins, '22-5 wins, '23-4 wins, '24-5 wins, '25-4 wins. 29 wins in 7 years before JS. That's barely 6 wins per year. That's been the standard of Missed U football. Nothing has changed...yet. Did JS get NIL money to help him with getting above average players? (This is a rant)- If you don't bring NIL money you won't make the playoffs...period! You may not even become bowl eligible. Want proof? Look at the top 12 teams right now for the playoffs. The average roster payout is north of $20 million every year! What does this tell us? There is a natural evening out of the have and have nots since NIL took hold. It's not done either. Probably another 4-5 years to see who can consistently fund their own NIL. MSU has received a heavy donation of $50 million but its pennies compared to Oregon's well healed boots. PSU, The little o, and Mitch-again aren't going anywhere. Absolutely absurd MSU got rid of JS after 3 years. MSU standard is NOT 10 wins, it's barely 6. He's been basically par for the course and, IMO, was actually building to become more consistently a bowl team. He needs a minute to install all his own players. Takes 4-5 years. Don't make me tell you what I really think.
  19. HOME PO game! One of Ohio State/Indiana will host the Rose Bowl, with the other hosting the Cotton or Orange Bowl, with the Sugar Bowl reserved for the SEC champ. Get a win under the belt in Autzen and advance at least one step further in the PO than last season. This is a young football team that will have a tough bowl matchup in the 2nd round in Dallas, Miami, or New Orleans. I want the team to experience at least one PO win. The semifinal sites this season will be played in the Fiesta and Peach bowls. Teams from Dixie reap the reward of this so-called PO, a front for a bowl extravaganza.
  20. Former Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald will replace Smith at Michigan State.
  21. No play and knock the rust off. I was at the first PAC 12 Championship Game, not sure anything can get colder.
  22. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but if Duke beats Virginia in the ACC title game, the ACC will be left out of the playoff!!!! James Madison and the American conference champion will both be ranked higher as the 4th and 5th highest ranked conference champions to get it. This is the ACC Doomsday scenario. Both Texas and Miami needed more chaos to get in and it didn’t happen. Their best hope is that Alabama gets punished for losing the SEC title game. The fortunate thing for the loser of the B1G title game is that Oregon is setting the floor for their drop in the rankings. As long as the game is competitive, they will remain ranked higher than Oregon which could be anywhere from 3-5.
  23. What ultimately matters is the opponent you’re matched up with. As we learned last year, even if you’re perfect, you have no control and could land in a bad matchup with a hot team. I don’t think a home playoff game at Autzen in late December weather conditions is going to be nearly as sexy as everyone thinks. However, pummeling the ACC or American conference champion is a great use of energy. Without understanding the full extent of the injury situation, it’s purely speculation on what the doctor is asking for. On facing Ohio St, I’d rather take them on in a semi-final. If you’re going to catch them with their guard down, that’s the time to do it.
  24. I'm not giving them the W against Indy just yet.

  28. Depends on the year. For THIS season it would be best if the Ducks can back their way into a bye (which they could easily do if either Georgia or Texas Tech lose their conference championship games). They have lots of injuries (Dakorian Moore, GB Jr, Stewart, multiple OL, etc), that I'd take as many days off as possible. It would be great this year because they would potentially be getting a bye WITHOUT having to play the B1G championship game. But last season the Bye was stupid, because it wasn't a real bye week. When you have to play in the conference championship game, then you'd not actually getting any additional time off, because you had to play an additional game ahead of the playoffs.
