  3. Quackkkk, Lets Hope these recruits stays with Oregon! Oregon lands second verbal commitment in 24 hour period via Cameron Pritchett The Oregon Ducks continue to add more pieces to its recruiting class in 2027 with yet another defender pledging to the Ducks. The Oregon Ducks have secured its second verbal commitment in the last 24 hours for the 2027 recruiting class. Monday afternoon four-star edge defender Cameron Pritchett announced he was committing to the Ducks following an unofficial visit to Oregon. Pritchett announced the decision on Monday afternoon through his social media channels on Twitter and Instagram. Previously, Pritchett has told 247Sports that Auburn, Tennessee, Miami, South Carolina, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon, and USC are schools that are starting to stand out above the nearly 20 offers he holds to his name already. Oregon just recently started the recruiting process with Pritchett as they offered him a scholarship back on May 7th of this year. The talented prospect has seen his recruiting profile rise among the elite of college football, as other programs, such as Notre Dame and Ohio State, have also offered scholarships this spring. Along with Oregon, Pritchett is expected to visit Auburn, USC, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Miami this summer. Those visits however could now be put on hold following a commitment to the Ducks https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/oregon-lands-second-verbal-commitment-in-24-hour-period-via-cameron-pritchett-250551774/ Oregon Football lands another commitment from elite 4-star EDGE in 2027 class Oregon Football lands another commitment from elite 4-star EDGE in 2027 class DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Oregon Ducks landed another commitment in the 2027 class, picking up 4-star EDGE Cameron Pritchett.
  4. Not sure which is crazier, the Troylets paying Bowman 10 mil to play in the top revenue generating sport, or Texas Tech’s 1 year deal for 1 mil+ (her senior year has yet to be negotiated) to NiJaree Canady to play in a non-revenue generating sport.

Four-star running back Noah Roberts has the Ducks among his leader thanks to a budding relationship with Oregon running backs coach Ra'Shaad Samples. 7. A cap on NIL payments to individual players does not make legal sense. Like the pros, only salary caps can be mandated by the league, in agreement with the Players Union, but not player salaries. Even the feds cannot legislate a player's worth. The NCAA can require "salary caps" on teams, I suppose. But not NIL. Jon Joseph, being the legal mind here, what say you?
  8. Definitely going to miss Sinicki, the Luschar sisters, Dezianna Patmon, but a lot to look forward too from the Softball team, The Jane will be rockin' again!!!
  9. This is too good to be true. Since PC, USC is all about noise, as noted college football fan, William Shakespeare put it, all this recruiting hoopla is "sound and fury signifying nothing" If you can't beat 'em...
  10. Good Luck, Yuck, Yuck. The cap on direct payments likely stands. But a cap on NIL? Dabo Swinney on transfer portal guidelines: ‘We just want some rules’ - On3 WWW.ON3.COM .
  11. Bret Bielema - 'Luuuuke, I am your father.' Another shot at the PO and sweetened by some NIL $$$. QB Luke Altmyer passed on SEC return to chase history at Illinois - On3 WWW.ON3.COM In an interview with On3, Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer discussed the opportunities he had to hit the transfer portal this spring.
  12. OVERLOOKED? Oregon's Evan Stewart will play HUGE leadership role for Ducks in 2025 in WR room
  13. Yes, that is why it shocked me about the amount! Instead of a signed Letter of Intent, should be changed to a binding contract.
  14. The linked article refers to a 50 million package, so I believe it very well might be 10 million a year...
  15. The majority of verbals do stick, but they are certainly more fluid these days!
  16. So many conundrums. Clearly needs to be a cap, yet no one is authorized to create, let alone enforce one. And yet no matter the rule set, it’s the same teams always on top. I mean, when has USC not had 4 and 5 star talent the last 25 years?
  17. When the list has most of the Ivy League schools and the military schools, you know it is click bait.
  18. If I don't see a contract, I take all this with heaping grains of salt. The 10 million also could be over all 4 years, still staggering, but less eye popping than 10 million for 1 year.
  19. These transfers could have B1G seasons. Big Ten transfers poised to make instant impact: Nico Iamaleava, Justice Haynes set for big 2025 seasons - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Looking at each Big Ten team's most impactful transfer entering the 2025 college football season
  20. On the Other Hand - Cooper Flagg reportedly earned staggering amount of NIL money at Duke WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Cooper Flagg was a can’t-miss prospect during his time at Duke, and he was apparently compensated more than accordingly. $28 Mill in NIL deals. This may exceed the total salaries paid to folks in Maine, at least, Newport, Maine.
  21. "Commitment" is a word that hasn't met anything in sports for a long time, along with loyalty. It started with the coaches of course, one day they're in a living room, telling the prospect and his family how great it will be to coach his son at... and then a week later the coach is somewhere else. Even back in the day, and still now, player's "flip". A flip won't really happen now because a player will only be at a team as long as he wants. In the NFL, players renegotiate contracts all the time. In college, we've seen NIL deals being tossed up. If the NIL ever does get managed. The renegotiation, like in the NFL. will become normal in college.
  22. Came in as No. 10 of 35. "Autzen Stadium is a true college football landmark—no matter how Oregon’s team is performing." 35 College Stadiums That Are More Iconic Than the Teams That Play There - UltimateTravelAdvice.com ULTIMATETRAVELADVICE.COM College sports are built on tradition, rivalry, and game-day glory—but sometimes, it’s the stadiums that outshine the teams...
  23. I wonder if a top 5 O-line is making $10 million in NIL dough? PFF says Oregon has one of the top offensive lines in the country DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon football has one of the most talented offensive lines in college football according to the analytical site PFF.
  24. I agree with Charles, IF this report is accurate, this is INSANE! Will this young man be better next season than OBD's TE Jamari Johnson, who transferred in from Louisville at less than 10 MILL? For benchmark purposes and FWIW, Sark has vehemently denied that Texas has a $40 million NIL payroll. House Settlement - $20.5 million 1st year direct payment cap. 75% is estimated to go to football, $15.375 million. 65% to one untested player? If the House settlement is approved, every NIL deal over $600 () will be disclosed. What team bid this guy up to $10 million? Bama? Georgia? I don't see it. Why go gaga for the 2026 class when the floor and ceiling for a position will most likely soon be set? Is this a 'Recruiting Win' or an 'Auction Win?' At least at an auction, you have a good idea of what the item is worth. Frankly, I don't see this as any kind of win unless the young man single-handedly leads SC to a Natty, which under the current payout would be a $16 million return. Paying a recruit close to what you are paying the head coach? Maybe, maybe, $10 million if the guy plays ball for four seasons in South Central, but $10 million a year? 14 NFL TEs are being paid over $10 million a season. TEs under a 'rookie pay-scale contract' are earning @ $2.75 million a year. If this is true, please $C, do not $top paying absurd amounts of dinero!
