Will Stein on the "Most Consistent Receiver," and Tasty Stuff About Dante Moore...
Lots of sneaky talent on the Ducks. Well... not sneaky as it was all highly recruited. But it feels like everyone is sleeping on it. I think we might see the best defense of the Lanning era this year and I think the offense kicks it back up to the 2023 year's production levels. Yes, last year was a down year for Lanning and this offense, sure we went 13-1 overall but the offense only scored more than 40 three games (less than 5 for sure) and we averaged around 35. Looking for that number to go up to around 40 again this year.

Michigan Keeps It's Title....Loses 30 Million
Jon you overwhelm me with your research sir. I do have an off topic story about how people over in the UK didn't understand how we are obsessed with how our sports teams perform at "University". They equate extended education as nothing more than a tool to get a higher profession. I asked a couple jokingly who was the national champion in tiddly winks and I got the dryest stares you could imagine. I felt like I had just been in the Sahara for a month straight. As far as the Ducks go, I've heard this might be the last year for your annual "Civil War". I imagine the Beavers will try and keep that series going, but I don't see the benefit of it being home and home to the Ducks. Maybe a 2 for 1? Florida is still hated by Hurricane fans because that same proposition was made by Steve Spurrier back in the day. Those touchy Hurricane fans still hold it against the Gators to this day. In some ways they hate us more than they hate FSU. Here's hoping both the Ducks and Gators send little brother back to their respective holes with memorable losses.

National Perception: Oregon Has WORK to Do...
Looks about like what I’d expect for a team starting the season in the lower half of the top-10 from the west coast. Unless we relocate the UO about 3000 miles east it will always be an uphill battle.

I blame them; specifically, I blame The Athletic's Editor-in-Chief and Northwestern graduate Stewart Mandel for having his B1G undies in a twist over Tony Petitti's PO format. We all know Greg Sankey is the hero doing everything in his power to save the sanctity of CFB, right? Here's Stewie's take on the B1G - Penn State 11-1; Ohio State 10-2; Iowa 10-2. 9-3 - AP No. 14 Michigan, AP No. 20 Indiana, and AP No.7 OBD.🤪 7-5 - No. 12 Illinois. !!!!! 14 starters back, including a QB who could be the first B1G QB off the NFL draft board, 5 OL starters back, and one of the easiest B1G in-conference schedules. Two B1G titles in a row? 5-1 in the postseason against THE SEC, move right along, nothing to see here. OBD will only get respect when it wins two titles, one will, of course, be a fluke. Just like being the only P4 squad to go 13-0 last season was an aberration. MERCY!

I'm fine with it. They can eat their crown later when we take home another B1G trophy and make a legitimate playoff run this year.

Yikes, his parents need to pull him aside and say pass on this one.

Will Stein on the "Most Consistent Receiver," and Tasty Stuff About Dante Moore...
Max Torres does a great job at On3, and I always encourage people to join the membership sites for great reporting. I cannot copy the whole article, but a couple of tasty tidbits were pretty cool... On Who’s Stood Out as Consistent at Receiver: Stein: “Gary Bryant is one of the most consistent football players I’ve ever been around. He’s a complete pro. He does everything you ask him to do. He blocks his a** off. He runs routes at the specific depth. He catches the ball, makes plays, good with the ball in hand. I was really saddened that he couldn’t have an impact on our team like he wanted to, like we wanted to last season because of injuries. And I would have loved to have him Tez (Johnson), Traeshon (Holden), all those guys out there have been working together, but obviously injuries plagued him last season, so I think he’s in a great spot mentally, physically. He’s super gifted. I mean, the guys made plays here in ’23 and he had 40 something catches, 500 yards. He’s extremely consistent, and it starts with his prep. He’s definitely I would say the leader of that group, and not just vocally, but just how he approaches every single day.” On What He’s Seen Translate From Dante Moore‘s Skillset at Oregon Stein: “What I saw when I turned on the tape—-wow throws like, oh my gosh. Like, dang, that was a ball. When those kept showing up on the completions, some corner routes or scramble throws, you’re like this guy’s got elite arm talent. And I’d previously known Dante, because, if you remember, when I got here, he was committed. So I went to MLK and went to Detroit, like two times that I was allowed to when I first got here. So knowing him, knowing his family, knowing the people around him, his high school coaches—I knew he was about the right stuff. “It just it didn’t translate to UCLA and not because of lack of scheme. I think we all know Chip Kelly is a great coach, and I just don’t think he had the players around him that you need, if you’re a true freshman, to go be super successful. So when he has gotten here, you could see his talent has flourished. He’s so humble. He’s willing to learn. He reminds me, he’s a great blend of like Bo (Nix) football IQ and Dillon (Gabriel) can pull everybody together, which is really unique and special. I think I’ve said it in here before, but he wears five, he’s got glove on his left hand I played with Teddy Bridgewater. He does remind me a lot of Teddy. That’s a lofty comparison for me, but he’s just got that kind of that moxie about him. That IT factor that people just gravitate towards.” Gary Bryant Jr. (Remember that as a true freshman at USC--he had more catches than any Oregon receiver that year)

National Perception: Oregon Has WORK to Do...
Well, the only one I have is at QB. Our defense is going to be sneaky-good, and our offense will score more-than-enough points through the season, and peak in the Playoffs. Boettcher creates a fumble!

National Perception: Oregon Has WORK to Do...
I don't blame them, we have the most question marks out of all of those teams, we have a lot of talent, but I think this is a prove it year for Lanning, he doesn't have a QB who is going to become the most experienced in college football history. It isn't a slight against Oregon, it's just that we have a lot of questions marks on a team that was last seen getting boat raced by tOSU.

Uhh, When is Lanning Going to Announce QB1?
Hummm, battle still on? Oregon's QB battle starting to shake itself out in the final days before game week

Uhh, When is Lanning Going to Announce QB1?
I surmise like most of you that Dante Moore will get the start. I also expect the team will know going into next week's practice as it is game week and the starter will need reps with the 1's. Not naming a starter publicly says 2 things to me: Both Austin and Dante are ready to lead this team DL is respecting both players right to the end of fall practice. This should be a fun year!
