Who could've predicted the State of college football , just six years ago?. If I told you that Indiana, and Ole Miss, were two wins away from winning a national championship. The head coaches of these teams would be a guy who didn't get a head coaching gig in the FBS, until he was in his sixties. The other would be a guy who was only two games into being a head coach. Crazy times.

Remember the clown that Charles pointed out earlier this week? Well, he evidently hasn't learned his lesson, or he's proven he is truly missing the r in his last name. Indiana proved that the bye doesn't matter, as long as you are heads & shoulders ahead of your opponent. Which this guy was saying Texas Tech was. But Texas Tech got blanked, they were the worst team in the quarters. Alabama won a road playoff game, and had top ten wins. Tech beat nobody, outside of Utah, or BYU. But this guy says Tech only lost because of the layoff. I was hoping he'd show a grain of sense, but I lost brain cells checking up on this guy again. I had forgotten about his nonsense until I saw the Tech thread.

Will he get a ring if they win the whole thing?

I wish Georgia won their game but in all honesty, I'm kinda digging the "March Madness" vibe that's starting to form with this extended playoff.

The self-inflicted wounds did stop what few chances they had to get in rhythm. Botched handoff, multiple bad snaps, etc. Those definitely need to be fixed over the next few days.

TT defense is legit probably the best defense in college football. Oregon has found running room against many other good rush defenses, including Indiana who we let off the run when we shouldn't have. But we had nothing against TT all day.

For those of us who can remember 2002, when OBD was royally screwed, and before, the Canes are blue-blooded. Hats off to the Canes and Mario for being the lowest-seeded team to win a PO game. Can the Canes D shut down a better O than O-H-I-O's in the Fiesta Bowl? The pressure will be on Miami, a team battling to play a champ game on its home field. Ole Miss is playing loose and with LSU's money in the effort to kick the Kiff out of Lane. I feel bad for our Georgia friends, but the love poured out on UGA for beating Bama in a rematch was pure recency and brand bias for anyone who could recall the previous game vs Georgia Tech and/or noted Bama's season-long inability to run the football. Cig just keeps on burying brand-name teams. A team without a Blue Chip Roster is looking to break the Blue Chip ceiling and is odds-on to do so. HOSE THE HOOSIERS!

And he has won before! VegasDuck! The final score was 23-0, and VegasDuck predicted 20-10, for a total of 13 points off. ArkieDuck (27-10) was close at 14 points off, as well as EagleScoutJim (21-13) at 15 points off, but VegasDuck comes through again! Oregon seems like the boring team nobody is talking about. Indiana is the favorite. Miami snuck into the playoffs as the 10 seed and knocked off two higher ranked teams. Ole Miss has the whole Kiffin storyand they just upset UGA. Oregon just beat teams they were supposed to beat and the pundits will unanimously pick Indiana to beat them.

One last thought: Anyone else notice that the teams playing defense are both from the Big10? The vaulted SEC defenses all gave up a minimum of 34 points to their opponents. The two remaining Big10 teams gave up a grand total of 3! 3!

Who had Indiana, Miami, Ole Miss, and Oregon, as the F4 to start the season? Gotta give that Rebel squad a hand. Georgia had a nine point lead at halftime, and they normally just squeeze you till you are paste, in the second half.

Some of the funniest stuff to read is over on uwdawgpound. The UW fans are just beside themselves about Oregon moving on and are hoping Indiana stomps them. Awesome to think that OBD live so freely in their heads!

The Guy should get fired from locked on. Not because he said that TT would crush Oregon but because every reason he used why Oregon won was known before the game but he never mentioned it! He used information from their season to show why they lost, if he was any kind of student of the game he would have mentioned it before hand. Most everyone on this site knew their D was tough BEFORE THE GAME! Most everyone on this site knew the weakness's of our offense before hand, we did not pretend. He wont get fired because the biggest BS'ers get the most clicks and unfortunately that's what counts today.

I think we stand the best chance of the remaining teams to take down Indiana. If we don't do it I think they win it all. I really don't want to live in a reality where Indiana does a two year rebuild with a coach and gets a championship and we have been building for a couple decades and still in pursuit. So... Lanning and Co get it done!

Ohio State, Alabama and Ohio State have all been vanquished. Miami is the only former champion left standing. Indiana looks like the class of the remaining teams, but this feels like anybody’s tournament.
