  1. I found this and had to share with my OBD buddies… https://duckswire.usatoday.com/lists/record-watch-several-historical-numbers-set-to-fall-for-oregon-ducks-over-next-month/ OBD have 3 Saturdays to re-write some records while punching their ticket. What a great time for these young men and their fans.
  2. 45-12, Ducks win! 2 TO 3 Sacks 320 yards in the air.
  3. @Drake, you nailed it when you said “All the other sports that Oregon competes in are a scheduling nightmare for a student/athlete. Nothing like a 4 to 5 hour flight followed by a 1 or 2 hour bus ride in winter conditions to be in peak condition to play 40 minutes of basketball. “ In addition to that, add in the men’s and women’s teams in basketball, track and field, cross country, baseball, softball, lacrosse, golf, gymnastics, volleyball, swimming, etc. The throw in the fact that some of those teams play multiple games in a week! I think we will see the student athletes spending the majority of their time on the road, and the travel budget is going to go exponential with the price of fuel doing what it is doing. It makes me wonder how long football can sustain it.
  4. Have we ever won wearing seagull splatter- er, eggshell? Not a favorite for this particular fan. I can’t remember if we ever won wearing it, but a couple losses in that hideous outfit are seared into my memory.
  5. Alex, Great article and I agree with most of it. I do take exception to one sentence: ’There would be no Ducks team this year without Nix.’ As a firm believer in the next man up philosophy, I am positive we would have had a great team this year, had Bo gone to the NFL last year. We just would not have been ‘quite’ as great. Bo is awesome and will leave his mark in the record book, but OBD would have fielded a pretty darn good team without him. That said, you are correct in that it is hard to pick only one MVP, there are just too many standouts in this team, from the first squad, all the way to the 3rd man up,
  6. Thanks for posting that Kamakazi Kid! I thought the same thing last night, how DL’s predecessors disingenuously answered the same questions. Isn’t it refreshing to have a coach speak from his heart rather than a script? Go Ducks, DOMINATE ASU!
  7. Ducks win going away, 63-27. 2 Turnovers 3 Sacks 315 passing yards Go Ducks!
  8. It’s the false starts and after the whistle needless stuff that fires me up. As you said, stupid stuff. I do believe that if the players held each other to a higher standard regarding unnecessary penalties, they could do anything! I guess I have no reason to gripe at ranking 112 in penalty yards when we beat 118 WA, 125 USuC, and 139 CO!
  9. Now if they players will hold each other accountable for penalties. They do that, and there is nothing they can’t do!
  10. No Jon, that would be Bama! Bwaa haa haa chuckle chortle Yuk yuk… I agree with you, but couldn’t help myself!
  11. We should be up 28 zip
  12. What a wacky 1st quarter… We need to stop giving them gifts.
  13. Wow! We scored 3 times for that 6 points!
  14. Oregon, 35-9 2 TO 4 Sacks 285 in the air 255 on the ground Defense has another stellar game, no TD allowed. 60% stops on 3rd down, 100% stops on 4th down. A guy has gotta dream, right? Go Ducks!
  15. Will there be a BIG 10 Championship game? Is it divisional or top two? When?
  16. Wow, what a choice, the culls from the north or the scumbags from the south. That’s kinda like asking if you’d rather be beat with a hammer or a club. Would you rather swim with sharks or pirhanna? Do you want to jump in front of a truck doing 35 or a car doing 45? There is just no good answer. As always, I want the best for the Ducks, and that will be to pile-drive a 12-0 team in Vegas to win the last PAC 12 Title!
  17. Bo running is good for the Ducks, but it needs to continue to be smart running. It forces the defense to account for him. Having him run into the teeth of the defense is not smart (see Nix last year and Herbert his sophomore year. IMHO, the QB has no business running between the tackles unless it is a 1 or 2 yard QB sneak following his blockers.
  18. I agree with you O Great Hauler of Logs! If our 5* commits don’t get a shot because we are bringing in “experience” the 5* commits will soon figure it out and commit elsewhere. Bringing in transfers doesn’t always pay off. For every Nix we had a Brown and for every Vernon Adams we have had a Dakota Pruckup
  19. This week, the opponent is the toughest game on the schedule, That will be followed by the next week’s opponent and so on thru the season. The upcoming opponent is ALWAYS the toughest, and I hope it remains that way for the three games following the last in-conference civil war.
  20. Will do! I think I will wait til the morning of the game again! Seemed to work out yesterday!
  21. Thank you Charles! It was a great game wasn’t it!!! I must admit, my prediction actually had me rooting for WSU to get the garbage time TD! Not often I root for any score against OBD! While I missed the sacks by a mile (way to go Duck D), and was off on the TO, I only missed the actual air yardage by 12 yards and the rushing yardage by 3 yards! I guess I should buy a lottery ticket today! Go Ducks!!!
  22. Not sure why I keep doing this, I am seldom even close! Ducks 38, Cougs 24 2 TO 1 sack (their QB is shifty quick) 305 yards in the air, 245 on the ground. Go Ducks!
  23. You better believe OBD will watch it in the week after they beat the Beavs. I should be able to bring myself to watch it then, while anticipating three things: Revenge, sweet revenge, A thorough beat down of the mutts, The end of their winning streak.
  24. And had OBD converted on one of the fourth downs, Lanning would have been a wizard. Had they converted on 2 of them, Dan would have been a hero, and hat OBD converted in all 3, he’d be hailed as BBDL! While I too, am upset with the final score, I realize it is still a game, played by kids and nobody is perfect. I would still rather have DL in charge, rather than MC, WT, or MH running things. I think Lanning will do great things at Oregon, but perfection won’t be one of them.
  25. Ducks, 42-24 2 TO 3 Sacks 267 in the air 287 on the ground Go Ducks!
