  1. That wasn’t a smart play by Harmon.
  2. I want to see DG pull the ball more. It’ll force the defense to be more honest.
  3. Defense still doing its job. But the offense will sabotage it if the OL doesn’t get better in a hurry.
  4. The OL needs to show that they’re focused and mistake free.
  5. He’s starting to give me Cam McCormick vibes, I feel bad for him.
  6. He got sacked 7 times last game and sacked 4 times so far against Nebraska (not even halftime yet). He might not survive the season let alone make it to the draft…
  7. Sacked 4 times and it’s not even halftime yet. Yikes.
  8. Shedeur just got sacked again, same team different year. That dude's going to be lucky not to get injured this year.
  9. Ooh Cam Rising out with a hand injury...
  10. Fuskies struggling hard against Eastern Michigan at home.
  11. I hope Will Stein actually allows DG to pull the ball and run from this point on.
  12. I'm on the fence about subscribing to Peacock. I don't know how many Oregon games will actually go onto that service other than BSU. If it's only a couple lower tier ones it may not be worth it.
  13. Ducks 38-21 3 4 375 OL will improve marginally, defense will carry the day with a timely sack and/or INT to create the final score.
  14. Yeah I noticed that too, he was squinting quite a bit.
  15. I found a good video of last season's highlights at Oklahoma. He has more than enough arm talent, accuracy, and vision for intermediate and long passes. I'm chalking this up to what I mentioned in my last comment in this thread, which is he's still getting used to his new receivers. It takes time to build chemistry/trust and learn all your teammates tendencies, makes it even tougher when you can't trust the right side of the OL to protect your blind spot so timing is off as well.
  16. Well this is interesting, almost makes me want to subscribe! Movie star Glen Powell plays football for Oregon Ducks in new TV series WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Powell will star in the Hulu sports comedy "Chad Powers," which reportedly began filming in August.
  17. I think we're all guilty of expecting so much given we've been spoiled by the talents of Bo Nix last year. That's the one drawback of grabbing players through the transfer portal, often they only have 1 year of eligibility left so their impact is less than someone who's in the program 2+ years. It's the reason why I'm thankful OBD have a bye week in the 1st half of the season which buys valuable time for players like DG who need every minute to get up to speed. I always thought it would take him half the season to really get comfortable in the offense...well the Ohio State game is right before mid-season so I'm hoping the universe lines up and DG turns in a monster performance that day.
  18. Occam's Razor. IMO I think the issue may be the most obvious: he's still building a rapport with his receivers. It's his first and only year in a new offense with new ball catchers, I think it's reasonable to say he won't be a 2nd year Bo Nix. But if he performs more like 1st year Bo Nix that should be more than sufficient providing that Will Stein will allow Dillon to pull the ball and run once in a while like Kenny Dillingham did.
  19. Until the OL figures things out, opposing defenses are going to try and stack the box like Idaho did to stop the run. I surmise that it's going to take more than a week to fix the OL so Will Stein will need to adjust his plans. For me it's simple: let DG pull the ball and run. Force the opposing defense to take into account the QB and they'll end up thinning out the middle, allowing at least some chance for the OL to open some holes for the RBs. Then that opens up the passing game. Obviously he doesn't need to do this a whole bunch of times but letting DG be what he is (a dual threat QB) will open things up IMO. He just needs to do it a handful of times sprinkled throughout the game for 10 yards to make defenses think twice about crowding the middle.
  20. Good. No more distraction which allows DL and team to go to work.
  21. I don't have anything else to add that others haven't mentioned already (which we all know is the OL). All I want to see out of that line is consistency and fewer mistakes next weekend.
  22. I'm so glad I got rid of Comcast years ago.
  23. I think we would be fooling ourselves if it wasn't a factor but I don't think it's as big of one as we might think. Most of the issue starts with bad center play (sorry Charlie Pickard, you just didn't have it tonight). It may have been better if Pancho were lining up in the middle but I guess various factors shoved him over to right guard where he didn't perform well either. The lack of interior presence then contributed to the already puzzling bad play of the tackles, especially on the right (Cornelius killed a couple drives on his own with penalties). I do think this will get straightened out...the question is how long it will take. Assuming Bedford and Iuli come back soon that could drastically speed up the improvement but if they come back too early and get re-injured then they're in trouble. OBD need every minute of that 5 weeks before tOSU comes to Eugene in order to get to the level that's expected of them.
