  1. Looks like Bryce Foster is back this weekend. That's twice in just a few weeks. Former Texas A&M OL Bryce Foster reportedly visits Oregon again AGGIESWIRE.USATODAY.COM According to a recent report from ScoopDuck, Aggies sophomore center Bryce Foster may be nearing a decision...
  2. He'll be forever limited by the fact that he can't stop meddling in his coordinators' business. Mario just can't help himself for whatever reason and until he fixes that his ceiling will always be a conference championship (and usually by the skin of his teeth).
  3. I can see the Oregon's running game go very quickly to a "thunder and lightning" setup where Jordan, Noah, and Jayden wear down the defenses with speed and then Jay coming and pounding them into submission.
  4. He did play all 12 games last season and started 8. So at least on the surface it seems like his health is good now.
  5. Interesting news from the Locked on Ducks Podcast: Bryce Foster, the Texas A&M's starting center entered the portal back in April and is now apparently on a visit to Oregon. Basic stats: - 6'5", 330 lbs - 2021 SEC All-Freshman Team - Started all 12 games as a true freshman - Injured sophomore year - Started 8 games as redshirt sophomore Texas A&M Athletics 12THMAN.COM Bryce Foster (61) OL - 2021 SEC All-Freshman Team 2021 FWAA Freshman All-America Team 2021 The Athletic Freshman All-America First Team 2023 (RE... If he were to sign that would give OBD an experienced starting center, shoring up one of the few concerns I personally have on the offense (I like Pancho's potential, he just doesn't have a lot snaps under his belt).
  6. Feels like the author is drawing an erroneous conclusion based on too high of an aggregate (they're looking at this on a per team basis). If you look at it on a per season basis: Dillon Gabriel Career Stats - NCAAF - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Complete career NCAAF stats for Oklahoma Sooners Quarterback Dillon Gabriel on ESPN. Includes scoring, rushing, defensive and receiving stats. Dillon's 2023 stats were the best of his career with highs on completion percentage, passing yards, yards per attempt, and passer rating. He also routinely had long passes of over 50 yards throughout that season. It's clickbait designed to stir controversy where there isn't any.
  7. Yeah, I don't know why Dabo is so allergic to the portal. His program is falling behind because of it. I think DL has found the right balance of focusing on HS recruiting first and then plugging holes with a handful from the portal. As long as he's stacking top 5 recruiting classes the future is very, very bright.
  8. That's certainly the aim but it hasn't fully happened yet. I'm hoping the 2025 class is the next step forward!
  9. Can you imagine if OBD were to snag multiple 5* defensive backs? That would be amazing.
  10. Great article Charles! I think it's safe to say we'll continue to see high-level offensive scheme design from Will Stein, that guy is a wunderkind of sorts. My only concerns about the offense are based on personnel: - How long it'll take before Dillon Gabriel settles in and gets comfortable with the offense? When Bo first came in, it probably took him several weeks of actual game play before we saw him really hit his stride with the offense. I expect about the same with DG. Thankfully the first 6 weeks of the upcoming season are a good time for him to figure things out before tOSU comes to town. - How will Pancho Laloulu perform as starting center? He did well in the Fiesta Bowl, however it was against Liberty so I take that with a grain of salt. Being a true sophomore who's stepping into the starting role after JPJ is a tall task for anyone.
  11. Justin Herbert size and athleticism + familial elite QB pedigree? Yes please!
  12. I'll take "stuff that'll never happen" for $1000 Alex...
  13. He is however still planning an OV to Eugene so OBD are still very much in it.
  14. I hope Tez develops the same kind of chemistry with Dillon as he had with Bo.
  15. TBH I don't think they had much of a choice lol
  16. Given that the impact sounds like it would mostly on walk-ons, I don't see how that helps control costs.
  17. Oregon Football Awaits Commitments from Two Elite Prospects WWW.SI.COM Oregon Ducks football fans may soon have a couple of new commitments to look forward to if things play out how...
  18. I wonder why Dabo is so anti-portal...his high school recruiting classes are always in the top 10 (Rivals) so maybe he thinks that's good enough to develop his talent pool via the traditional method. That being said, his competitors are using the portal to fill in holes (like DL) and passing him by. Some people are just stubborn I guess.
  19. Makes sense that tOSU's toughest game would be OBD in Autzen. For Oregon I think it's a tie between tOSU at home and Michigan on the road.
  20. It's heartening to know that there's real hope in a long term coaching situation for OBD. Guys like Saban, Smart, Dabo have been at their schools for years resulting in some serious program stability and with that success at the highest echelons in college football.
  21. I especially like this quote because it's so brutal and true: “Is Lincoln Riley really that much better than any other Air Raid coach? Have we been caught up in the idea of Riley being successful those first couple of years (at Oklahoma) and then applied that to years in which his teams look outclassed and outcoached? I honestly don’t know the answer and I suspect I am not alone. Riley looks like a giant mystery right now.”
  22. Exactly! DL is a defensive guy but you can absolutely tell he divides his attention equally between the defense and offense, he wants to understand everything in detail. LR has always been about offense and has never appeared interested about anything else, based on historical defensive stats on his teams it's obvious he never properly supported his DCs or cared to be involved on that side of the ball.
  23. USC's defensive staff is of course better than the previous one (there was no where else to go but up). But the state of their defensive roster is so bad it's going to take multiple seasons to fix it....assuming LR still has a job by then since fan patience will wear thin if he continues having mediocre 7-8 win seasons.
