I have to agree with this. Following Saban at Alabama would be a career death trap with no escape unless you do the nearly impossible, which is to surpase Nick's win/championship totals. Plus I don't think DL has any particular "coming home" feelings towards Alabama like Mario/Willie do with their Florida schools. He didn't graduate or play there, just worked there for a time. Georgia would be more likely in that scenario given his success as a DC there but I don't think Kirby Smart is retiring any time soon (even if he did, it would be the same death trap due to their successive national championships).
I think DL is relishing the opportunity to bringing something to Oregon that no other program coach has, a national championship here would cement his own lasting legacy.
