  1. CU is showing some improvement on offense but that's about it. Their defense and special teams are still terrible. Plus it's obvious TCU is a shell of it's former self, this is not the team from last year. They lost too many players and it shows.
  2. Considering they didn't have Cam Rising this was a solid win for Utah!
  3. Well when you think about it, OSU generally recruits classes ranked somewhere in the 50's year to year (at least during Jonathan Smith's tenure) and consists of primarily a bunch of 3* kids with a blue chip or two (they had 2 solid ones committed for 2023). That's with having a Pac12 revenue share of $30-$35 million a year (with a record $37 million last season). MWC gets $4 million a year on its current deal that runs through 2026 and I doubt the next deal will clear double digits even after OSU and WSU join. Whatever recruiting budge the Beavers have now will be decimated after 2024 so I expect it to plummet, no more occasional blue chips anymore through high school....maybe the occasional one through the transfer portal.
  4. Oregon 49-14 3 TOs 5 Sacks 305 yards passing I kept it under 50 because it's Will Stein's first game and I think it'll take a little while for the players and new OC's play calling to mesh properly.
  5. I think they should dominate for the first 2-3 years...then the significantly reduced revenue will hit hard because they won't be able to recruit like they used to.
  6. Team results W-L: 12-2 (10-2 regular season) Conf title: win P12 Bowl prediction: NY6 (win) Offensive results Ppg: 42.0 Ypg: 480 TOs: 7 Defensive results Ppg: 24 Ypg: 365 Take aways: 21 I'm thinking a 2 loss regular season is good enough to get into the P12 championship game, all the top 6 P12 teams are going to take turns beating each other up. That being said, Oregon should be able to beat at least 4 of them then win the conference championship and the subsequent NY6 bowl game. Still a good season and a sign of continued improvement by DL.
  7. You have to wonder about his decision making capabilities. 5* kid, #1 CB out of HS for 2022 and instead of playing for DL at Georgia he follows Deion to an FCS school.
  8. A 3 quarterback system is just a desperate attempt to keep the 2 backups from transferring.
  9. Lol Alex Grinch and USC are just getting shredded already by fans for their defense. Given their inflated expectations the margin of error is very thin. Looking at highlights, it looks like they're very susceptible to dual threat QBs. Bad news for them when they come to Eugene. Fans blast Alex Grinch, USC’s defense after disappointing 1st half vs. San Jose State SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM USC's defense has struggled against San Jose State.
  10. USC's defense hasn't improved much. Giving up 21 points to San Jose State with most of the 4th quarter to go?
  11. It would be hilarious if USC does a faceplant in week 0 against SJSU. Trojan's cocky arrogance has gotten them in trouble on more than a few occasions before in games.
  12. Maybe he could come back to Eugene as an offensive analyst again. Cushy job with no in-game pressure and familiar surroundings. Plus maybe he could being back a little of the Chip Kelly hyper-speed influence to the offense.
  13. For a minute I thought #1 and #2 were twins lol I'd love to see Jason Brown commit to Oregon. Then OBD would have 3 of their top 5 state recruits, how hilarious would that be?
  14. You're right in the other positions. I'm not so confident at QB given Ty Thompson's limited/lackluster history and Austin Novasad will only be a true freshman. Without a high performing QB at the start, the offense sputters.
  15. Oregon's first foray into the Big10 does come at an awkward time given that they will have to break in a new QB starter (so will the Fuskies and USuCk for that matter). Ironically UCLA might be best positioned offensively if Dante Moore has a season of starts under his belt and develops as expected.
  16. I like that he's a local kid. That being said, he's a lower end 3* kid so my expectations are low. After he comes back from his mission, his additional age maturity may play a factor in faster development once he finally enrolls. Should be interesting to see what happens with him in a few years.
  17. Hopefully Popo stays healthy this year, we need him!
  18. I don't think Cal will be able to survive on $10 million like Stanford could, they don't have a similarly huge endowment of funds to dip into for several years. The B10 would have to offer both of them a decent share or at least Cal (though I don't think Stanford would like that). I could see the the B10 trying to entice Notre Dame to join if they can pull in Stanford.
  19. Pac-12 collapse speculation swirls around Arizona State president Michael Crow amid report WWW.AZCENTRAL.COM Speculation about the reasons for the downfall of the Pac-12 are running rampant. Arizona State president... It's looking like ASU president Michael Crow was the one responsible for coming up that ridiculous $50m per team valuation.
  20. Sanders is the new modern day Hindenburg. Just watch him burst into flames and the entire Colorado football program crash into the Earth.
  21. I'd like to know who that AD is and slap them with a cold fish.
  22. He and I stayed in the same dorm back when I was a freshman. Weird to think of him suddenly being gone...
  23. You're so lucky you have a man cave...my house is chock full of kids and relatives so there's no where to go for any privacy
  24. Housing gets increasingly expensive but it's comforting to know Oregon is living rent-free in USC fans' heads!
  25. Maybe. My general feeling from the article is that arrogance and incompetence from Pac12 university presidents is what destroyed the conference.
