  1. Can't win them all Cristobal strikes again. If they don't win the CCG they are out of the playoffs.
  2. Yeah, no way you fire him when you're headed to the playoffs. That would get an AD fired. But certainly at this point, if they lose the first game in the playoffs, Day is done. If he wins one or more he probably hangs on for another year, depending on what other coaches are available.
  3. I would have preferred a worn down OSU. Penn State beat the Huskies like 38-6. We'll see how well we do against common opponents today, with Penn St. playing Maryland.
  4. Makes sense for him to do this with the way both FB and BB programs are cooking right now.
  5. The look like Oregon's offense after playing 5 games straight. It's a small sample size, but offense takes more concentration than defense and concentration can get worn out. I was hoping to get OSU playing their 7th game in a row in the CCG, but Michigan beat us to the punch.
  6. So GT beat Miami, but lost to Georgia (just barely) so now they have a common opponent. One more reason now to rank Georgia ahead of Miami.
  7. The teams are going to wear out just having to walk back and forth from one end of the field to the other each overtime.
  8. You can practically hear the line on the UW vs.UO game shrinking. Rivalries are just a different game. The underdog rival can find a way to play better than they have any right to. The biggest knock on UW this year is their inconsistency. If they play their best for 4 quarters, we will have little margin for error ourselves.
  9. Ok, Georgia hail Mary...are we having fun yet?
  10. The last 25 seconds have been like a basketball game.
  11. These Dumbldorfs! They blew 30 seconds!
  12. 1 minute of house money for GT. We'll see if they can do anything with it other than turn the ball over deep in their own territory again.
  13. They get to play 4 downs all the way in.
  14. Now the fumble recovery..can they get 7? They have all the time in the world.
  15. Well Iowa wins a barnstormer 13 to 10 against Nebraska. Jeesh.
  16. I still remember how lights out Bryce was against Oregon State, the other hated rival he had similar game week comments on. Bryce is gonna be fun to watch Saturday.
  17. Nebraska scored a bunch too. Our O played horrible the last 2 games. Offense takes a lot of precision, and precision takes concentration, and when you get worn out it's hard to concentrate. I'm really hoping everyone was able to rest up body mind and soul with the off-week and Thanksgiving.
  18. I've watched some YouTube videos of Travis, and he is a genuinely good dude. Also, remember last year when that CSU player took him out with a dirty hit and was getting death threats so Travis went bowling with him and posted it over social media that they were hanging out together. He didn't have to do that. I would say it takes tremendous character to go out of your way to defend a rival who tried to hurt you. It's over the top to pose for an award you haven't received, but at the same time they don't call it a Heisman campaign for nothing. Should it really be considered a lack of character for him to campaign for himself when he is celebrating his successes on the field? I'm okay with Travis playing around on my lawn.
  19. I didn't realize Justin has only 1 interception this year through 10 games. That's pretty good.!
  20. I heard flags are at half staff at the ESPN headquarters!
  21. This. I don't see us putting up a ton of points against a defense with a lot of similarities to Wisconsin. 19.5? Really?
  22. I'm beginning to think it would be way more fun to decide to play our scout team against tOSU to have a playoff game at home against someone like Georgia or Texas from the SEC, or even ASU or SMU. How cool would that be? Certainly it would be a fantastic consolation prize if we do lose close to have a playoff game at home! The only game that would be boring to me is if we got Boise State a second time, which of course is the scenario shown in the bracket above.
  23. #1 We have to try to beat the Huskies in case we lose in the CCG to make sure we would get home field advantage in the playoffs. #2 I have little confidence in our coaches spending as much time to figure out how to beat the Huskies as the Huskies' coaches will spend trying to beat us over this 2 week period. Our coaches will forever be distracted during the last off week of the season trying to recruit. #3 This game matters more to the Huskies than it does to us. We can only hope that the high level of transfers on their squad takes the edge off their piss and vinegar. #4 Thanks for the stats. Every stat difference between the teams except for the 3rd down percentage is within the margin of error from one game to the next. #5 The fans will show up at Autzen, that is the most predictable thing about this game. #6 Their new QB should help the offense play better than they would have with the old QB, since presumably he is a typical freshman getting better every week. We need to get him to make some bad freshman mistakes though. #7 Harper and Tez are unlikely to play much if at all, as we need them fully healthy later for the more important games that are coming later. I hope we show up refresh and ready to play our best ball of the year from the kickoff, because we may need it. We could put this game away early and really stomp them, but I just feel that given the above, it's more likely they will give us some real trouble. Those are my thoughts and concerns.
  24. The punter went for distance rather than hang time, which is a big no-no if you're kicking it to an elite athlete like Caleb Downs. Also their entire punt coverage team looked like a mix of full anck and long snappers, not an ounce of athletic quickness among them. That's a pretty deadly combination. Also I was not impressed with the in game coaching from Indiana with exception of the time he called a time out right before the end of the quarter to ice the momentum of OSU. I don't know why more coaches don't do that when momentum is swinging against them.
