Let's Discuss! CFB College Football GameDay (All Other Games Today, but OSU vs. IU)
Auburn over A&M. The SEC is thinning the herd. Ole Miss Bama and A&M get 3 losses, and one more fun week to go. Now the SEC is going to have to complain about their 3 loss teams not making the playoffs, and getting much less sympathy.

Transfer Portal Musings
Dante Moore is the best passer in the roster, but he just doesn't have it. It's really tough to put my finger other than to say he is a spitten image of Ty Thompson in talent and personality. A lack of serious intensity and competitive aggression, that you'd find in any Thanksgiving backyard football game across America. He either doesn't have the focus or doesn't hate losing enough to consistently operate at a high level. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how looks to this point.

Transfer Portal Musings
Why choose, when you can do both? Dante Moore will never be named starting QB in a healthy QB room. His just not a baller, which is all you really need at QB in this system someone that knows how to play the game and how to win. DL WILL be picking up a QB in the portal when the season is over. They could be from any level, but they will be less risky than anyone on our roster, and one or both of DM and AN will portal out. Luke Moga is the only person on our roster that hasn't yet played enough to show serious flaws. There is still a chance he could be special if he has consistency with what he's shown to date.

GameDay Thread: Ohio State vs. Indiana!
And another deep sack. The RB can't pass block to save his life. And another sack. Cig's OC has no adjustments to make to deal with OSU bringing it every passing down? One screen all game, no bringing in an extra TE to pass block, or rolling out the QB? This is crap coaching too. Looks like IU's ceiling is like a Penn State at best.

GameDay Thread: Ohio State vs. Indiana!
Man, this could still be 7-14, but for their punter. First the obvious muff, then he tried to make it up the next kick that too low and hard and outkicked his coverage. I literally said out loud as the ball came off his foot "great, now he outkicks his coverage to make up for the muff." I was also disappointed Cig phoned it in before halftime, chosing not to use his remaining 2 timeouts when OSU was first and goal with almost two minutes left. I guess he has no confidence in his team executing a two minute drill against this defense. Now he punts on fourth down at the 45. He doesn't have any confidence in his offense to pass protect long enough to go 10 yards. It pays off though with a quick OSU 3 and out.

Ruh-Roh! Buckeyes Take ANOTHER Hit on Offensive Line...
One thing Josh Pate brought up when discussing how hard Oregon's 8 game stretch was, that tOSU will be playing their 7th game straight in the CCG, after having two tough games against Indiana and Michigan While Oregon will be in their second game after a bye week.

Colorado is Going to Win the Big 12
There is a world where the 4 non-CCG champions end up with a higher than 50% win percentage against the 4 CCG Champions. Why? How many bowl games are there where it's been so long since their last game and they come out playing like it's spring practice? If you do that against the winner from a game a week earlier, then you're cooked, or you'd better have a heck of a second half "kick" to catch back up and outscore the opponent.

Public Apology to JabbaNoBargain (From Original Post of CFB Playoff Committee to HOSE Oregon?)
I know it's easy to forget, but there is this other B1G team lurking out there that indeed could jump the loser of the CCG - Penn State. They were at #4 last week and unlikely to move this week or next.

So...Lanning's Wins Officially Passed Chip as HC at Oregon?
I can't think of a game that I've watch the whole way through where I could pin the fault on the refs for changing who won. The reason is there are so many bad calls, important calls each way that it averages out.

2 wasted seasons due to injuries. He needs to clean house with the sports science department and his strength and conditioning staff. They've failed the injured played and Whittingham. Either that or call it a career. He deserved better than this. A top 10 coach of the last few decades.

DL' sports psychologist could do worse than showing the old Star Trek the next generation clip where Warf says "There is an old Klingon proverb that says 'Revenge is a dish best served cold."

Not Pretty but Still Perfect: No. 1 Ducks Rally Late
This was another game that shows our DL is capable of wearing down opponents' OLs. That's quite an advantage to have; an elite trait. 16 points, yuck. I agree we don't need to win a beauty contest right now, with the 12 team playoff as an 11 win team that beat OSU, Michigan, and Wisconsin. We could even manage to lose next week and we would still be in. I like what another individual pointed out that in the 2010 perfect regular season we barely beat Cal in an away game at a similar point in the season in a similarly low scoring game. It can happen and isn't necessarily a sign of impending doom. And hopefully the bye week can resolve much of the issues we had this game, being mentally, emotionally and physically worn down, as well as cleaning up issues with offensive blocking chemistry (including TEs). Here's to another week (or two?) at number 1.

I'm happy we made it out of their without a loss and no new major injuries. The 8 games in a row, the travel, playing against rested teams while having that "top 5 team" target on their back makes it really tough to win and even tougher to look like you don't suck. We look horrible on offense and it's a good example how thin the line is between success and failure. Tez is a huge loss to the skill position's ability to get first downs, and Bedford/Harper's chemistry to create consistent rushing lanes.

At least we didn't throw a pic six to end the half.

Announcers: "This is starting to look like a good old-fashioned B1G showdown in Madison." That the worst insult our offense has received all year.

I'll never complain about a bye-week again. We look like we need one bad.

I agree too. Iowa wore them down and ran all over them.

Yeah, it's also a vote of no confidence in our offense right now. The run game chemistry isn't there. Pass blocking is solid, but so is Wisky's secondary.

It's a vote of confidence in our defense.

Bruh, an ambulance pass by Gabriel, I feel bad for Lowe. Refs are trigger happy with holds.

Our run blocking is still very inconsistent. It's strength and weakness on weakness.

Does Whisky have like minus 5 yards on three possessions? Whisky is screwed. O needs to get it's stuff together and put this game away quickly to get the starters out and minimize injuries.

Beautiful pass followed by a bad pass. It is good to see the chemistry keep developing between Stewart and Gabriel. Once we get Tez back we'll have 2 #1 WRs.
