  1. This convesation is interesting. First the idea of players leaving a school for another to get paid an extra $50,000 makes sense to me. I mean how many of us wouldn't go work for another company in the same industry for an extra $4,000 per month? The real issue seems to be that the NCAA has done such a poor job of leading. So some in Congress are trying to make college football make sense. There clearly needs to be logic rules, like Tubberville has proposed. However, Congress does not seem to me to be the right organization. Yet, nobody else seems to want to be the adult in the room. 🤔
  2. Well done. Very interesting. Explains why I heard he needs to improve tackling. It's not what it happens when he get there. Its what happens before. Overpersuing. When a strength high speed pursuit, becomes a weakness.
  3. He learned from his time at UCLA that not being ready truly sucks.
  4. Total is now 25. However, only one player, Blake Purchase was part of the the two deep. So, not feeling badly. Just making room for folks who want to do what it takes to make it on the the two deep. Playing time now. Or play for a perennial playoff contender in your last year or two. Guess for these guys it's playing time now. Sadly many will not even find another team. So will end up with no playing time. 🤷🏾‍♂️
  5. Ducks win 35-24 1 turnover 3 sacks 310 passing yards
  6. Come on folks. We need to understand Dan is not about making statements or style points. He is about development. Half way through the third quarter I was pretty sure the entire offensive line was second string. At least for a few drives As for the defense. We rotate 2nd string in consistently through the beginning of games. So what we saw was third and fourth string defense. With a few first and seconds sprinkled in. And we know on defense all it takes is one player being in the wrong spot. This was a chance to get playing time against a good team for some who NEVER play. Something we probably won't happen for the rest of the playoffs for these guys. We will see what the snap count looks like. But the first half was first on first. We saw the result. After the first drives for the second half, very different situation. Go Ducks
  7. That's true however they also had 275 passing yards and 17 first downs. Against us 4 of their 8 first downs were on their one scoring drive. So that leaves 4 first downs the entire rest of the game.
  8. Oregon State had 147 yards of total offense. 67 rushing yards. And folks are saying we had poor run defense and need to play better. Hmmmmmm
  9. Oregon 59-3 2 TO 4 Sacks 225 yards passing (375 rushing)
  10. The Ducks 55 - 10 2 turnovers 4 sacks 250 passing yards
  11. Ducks 48-10 2 turnovers created 5 sacks 285 passing yards
  12. Ohio St finished third behind Oregon and Penn St and went on to win the National Championship. That being said still prefer to win the Big title back to back
  13. And now much like the NBA went through. The rookies, I mean freshman, are getting ridiculous contracts without showing that can play at the new level. As this unfolds. There will need to be limits set in place as what a freshman can be given.
  14. Here are the top 50 recruits according to ON/3. Ducks, Ohio St, U$C and A$M are the only ones with two. We will not get every recruit we go after. But we are doing well. 2026 Industry Top Football Recruits WWW.ON3.COM A list of the top 2026 Football recruits based...
  15. Football. And also Football.
  16. Yeah from what I can tell you are penalized for having more students transfer out than transfer in. My guess is this will have to be adjusted at some point to actually understand how the student athletes are doing academically.
  17. Like many players have said.NIL money is NOT NFL money. The money is nice, but not the ultimate goal . Oregon probably wasn't the highest bidder for Bo Nix. He went from "overrated". To number 12 pick and leading his team as a rookie to the playoffs. I am sure UW was not the highest bidder for Penix. He went from not sure aoubt his durability to number 7 pick backing up a veteran. To now it's his team That's what development does. And with how Dan and company recruit I don't see a holdout for more money happening in Eugene. And by how I mean character and work ethic fit.
  18. Donovan Jackson is not a linebacker. Height and weight: Height 6′ 4″, Weight 320 lbs Current team: Ohio State Buckeyes football (#74 / Offensive lineman) And the Ducks have LB Jeffrey Bassa and CB Jabar Mohamed. Expected to be drafted along with our two starting DLs and edge rusher Jordan Burch.
  19. There might be something to this D line determines everything mentality. Was Ohio State great at all three levels? Nope. I would be surprised if anyone can name their linebackers. But their D line was relentless. Particularly their edge players. They are the reason we scored one touchdown n the first half. And 21 points for the game.
  20. But lest we forget. No Willie Taggart. No Mario Cristobal. And Willie did inherit a dumpster fire. Four wins the year before.FOUR.
  21. Okay, so I was a bit confused by the "legend" tilte as well. So I looked him up. Here's what I found. "He remains Ohio State’s all-time leader in passing yards and the Big Ten’s all-time leader in passing and total touchdowns." So yeah maybe he is an Ohio St legend. Just not one to rest of college football.
  22. In the article...the facts are: he did NOT ask for more money for himself. He asked for more money for staff and to entice better players. Mr. Sanders gets zero NIL money.
  23. Okay, Travis Hunter suffered a lacerated liver from a late hit. He missed multiple games because of it. The person who caused his injury, a lacerated liver, was receiving DEATH THREATS from Colorado fans. Probably all adults. What did Travis do? Ignore the situation? Pour gasoline on the fire by commenting on his injury? Nope he took the dude bowling. Posted it on social media and told folks to leave the guy alone. Now if that does not show exemplary character I don't know what does. I prefer to actually look at what they do off the field.
