You might be concerned because you present a view that is in the minority here, (for example I completely disagree with you) but that is the beauty of this forum.  All views, especially minority views are protected as we are, "the forum with decorum."

No concern here. I have held both minority or majority views throughout my life.

We are the forum with decorum and as such should be able to share ideas to ponder, get feedback for such ideas both yea or nay and learn something or a view we never thought of. That's my 2 cents anyway.

It's probably just me, but, in all honesty, I don't feel I really have a good picture in my mind's eye about how good C.J. really is and what he can do. He's run in the pistol offense and he's run in the post-pistol offense. He's played while healthy; he's played while hurt; and he's missed games due to injuries. He's run behind an offensive line that's dominating the line of scrimmage in some games, and then he's run behind an offensive line that's getting no forward push in other games. I hope he does well as a pro, and that he can stay healthy.

What will stand out for me in remembering this guy will be that Washington game that followed up the disastrous Stanford game.

Which year are u referring to. Can't be 20 didn't play UW or 21 which he got a season ending injury in the Stanford game so didn't play UW.

I think we have plenty of talent left at running back, though more depth will be good. Yeah, Cardwell seems obvious, but let's see what Spring brings, and who might be coming through the transfer portal.

As to Dye going to USC rather than the NFL, maybe USC is paying better. Just kidding.

I'm a little puzzled with this. I think riley will have a lot of success at USC, but next years they are not loaded on the offensive line and Riley has earned a reputation for flinging the ball around and not so much grinding it out. I love Dye and don't begrudge him doing what he feels is best for him, but he just might have transferred himself into several less carries per game than he would be looking at for Oregon and maybe a few less holes to run through.

My best to him though. He gave his heart and soul to Oregon and no one runs with more heart than Travis Dye.

Thanks Ohio for the post. I believe it's more on the lines he went home to his and his new wife, to be around their families. Maybe NIL is playing a part.

Who among us wouldn't take that option if given. That's my speculation. The Dye brothers are in the Ducks HOF.

  4. I believe that the team will be motivated by a desire to get to the same level they saw at Georgia. Also his staff are all motivated by that same vision.

I know I sure would be. If I've seen it done I believe it's doable. Especially when it's someone I know and get to work with.

And it's not just HC DL. They're numerous coaches of ours who have been there and did it.

Being under a great coach or coaches doesn't always translate into being one yourself. We have yet to see with Lanning, but he seems to bring with him a lot of the qualities we are looking for in a total package coach. It may take him some time to figure a few things out, but i think he has good chance to be that total package coach. Exciting times!

I agree but being #2 or #3 in the organization gives you a lot better shot then just being a asst. Coach.  He, Dillingham and Lupoi have all been Coordinaters at UGA, FSU and Alabama. Not too shabby.

  6. I see a different perspective. I believe that it was wanting to be to safe.

We were airing the ball but really didn't have WR in 19 and had a great running attack and OL, so he played it cautious.

In 20 it was covid. We aired it out until Verdel got hurt and our QB started making mistakes, so he played it cautious.

In 21 we aired it out until we saw AB was inaccurate with the deep ball, were hurt by an unusual amount of injuries especially to the defense and Verdel who they tried to protect got a season ending injury again, so he played it cautious.

I will grant everyone this was probably a mistake but he still went 24/10 with all the above problems, playing for 3 league championships winning 2 of them and a RB win so I feel thats not bad but really good.

He's gone now and we're on our way to a bright future if things work out which I don't know any reason why they won't.

I don't 'get' the Transformation Committee from the get-go. The P5 at least in CFB should be stand alone and MAC and G5 schools IMO should not have a vote on how the P5 governs itself.

This is a chance for the P5 to break away and manage its own affairs. Hard enough to do with 5 P5 commissioners. I for one do not want to see the G5 and the Notre Dame AD at the same table.

I would let ND in because of tradition and the largest fan base in CFB. Agreed the others should be out of D1 but problem is that their one of the selling point for "March Madness" and all kinds of commitment and contracs. I believe that's the reason for the mixed people on the Committee.
