  1. His numbers last night were much better than they were against Ohio State in the 'Shoe. In that one it could be said that the Ducks had a bit of, "nothing to lose", while against the Beavs, it was all on the line. Both brought out a QB that looked poised and confident. It doesn't make sense looking at it that way. But when AB is "On" the whole team feeds off it, the WR's are definitely happier. Brown has been consistent this season, let's hope he steps up even more when the games just get bigger.
  2. This is only one of the many points I agreed with in your post. Seems like there are 3 candidates, Smith did a great job with the Beavs, but you can't give a COY to a coach of a team that was so bad on the road. If Whittingham can deliver the Championship to Utah before he rides off in the sunset it's his. If Mario guides this injury riddled Ducks team to a 3rd straight Conference Championship, the COY is Cristobal.
  3. It is hard to beat the same team twice, even more I think when the games are so close. The team that lost has the revenge factor, and is the 2 time defending Champion. Utah had all the ancillary advantages in the first game and they paid off. Oregon has added incentive this time.
  4. According to Matt Prehm in his Duck Territory article he is. Mario Cristobal Should be the Pac-12 Coach of the Year
  5. "We've had them boys in the back of our heads" Ducks ready for chance at redemption vs, Utah Ducks Wire Zachary Neel One thing stands between Oregon and a 3-peat as Pac-12 Champion
  6. That was indeed a great bounce back by Brown and the team from that now better forgotten effort in SLC. They needed to start fast against the Beavers, and did just that. Across the board the Ducks were the better team, except for the penalties. The Beavers came in ready to deliver the North to WSU, but the Ducks canceled that order. Brown and the Receivers responded to the challenge; Hutson, Williams and McGee. The defense didn't dominate the game, but didn't give up the lead, Smith has done a great job of coaching the Beavers this season, but Cristobal had the better of him here. Smith's explanation of going for two was as hard to understand as the decision itself.
  7. Great game, OK. St. 37 OK. 33. Check SportsCenter for the highlights from this one.
  8. Stanford's Women Basketball team beat Maryland.
  9. I can really only think of one coach I would call an "Imposter". Taggart was disingenuous from the moment he stood on the stage with his arms wide open, about how sincerely he was happy to be in Oregon. Should Mario leave tomorrow, I'll believe he was Green and Yellow every second he was here.
  10. Right you are! Thanks for the correction, and yes, amazing!
  11. That would seem to be the case, but if Georgia Rolls the Tide in the SEC Champ Game, they might not as a 2 L.
  12. 16-20 against the Huskies, probably close to that over the Beavers, keep it going Ducks.
  13. Auburn gets a field goal to start 2nd OT, 20-17.
  14. You and Al Michaels, and Stanford winning tonight would be even bigger than "The Miracle on Ice"
  15. Let's hope that the thought, "It's hard to beat a team twice" still holds.
