  1. Graves mentioned a while back that this team closely resembles Sabrina and Ruthie's freshman team. The major difference being that team didn't have to follow the best Women's basketball team in the country! Add to that, the "Fab 5" recruiting class. As much as even Oregon fans appreciated these were kids, the comparison to the team from last season couldn't help but seep in as we watched them play the teams that lusted after revenge for the way Oregon had treated them the last 3 years. This team won't make the Final Four, but like the team did in 2016-17, it will get better. Much better.
  2. First thing Oregon does after the Pac-12 goes to an 8 game season.
  3. There won't be many Pac-12 teams in the NCAA's this year, but it will be quality over quantity according to sportspac12.com
  4. What does NBC Sports Northwest think of Oregon's schedule?
  5. I think you nailed it, David, even with your objective look at the Ohio State game.
  6. That is indeed a sign of resect for the Ducks. We get UCLA at The Jane for four games in April.
  7. There are rumblings that Russell Wilson is causing Seahawks fans to be and it could get so bad that he night be playing somewhere else next season, and the talk is that could be New Orleans. That would leave a gaping hole in Seattle behind the center and not much time to fill it. Enter Marcus Mariota. It's looking most likely that Las Vegas will cut Marcus, and it would not be that difficult for the Seahawks and Marcus to make a deal. A Duck being a Seahawk? I know, initially it doesn't seem right. But Ugo Amadi is making it work, and higher profile, it worked great the other way, Brandon Roy, a Husky became a beloved Portland Trail Blazer And if Marcus was a Seahawk, all their games would be on TV for us to watch in Oregon.
  8. I've watched Soccer on TV, purposely watched Timbers, and World Cup matches. The players are athletes and I respect what they do. But, when it comes down to it, I don't understand the game. Other than learning the best way to kick the ball, dribble it, that's the term, down the field. I don't understand what there is to practice? A player has the ball, he kicks it another player, and he or she does the same thing, and eventually one of them tries to kick it in the net. The entire game, and Extra time seems completely random. The only time it's really "competitive" is the shoot-out, kicker against goalie, and that favors the kicker 80% of the time. So, Soccer fans enjoy!
  9. The Ducks will have to spread the field with Percy on the line.
  10. I like it, watch out for Stony Brook. It looks like the Ducks will be at my predicted winner of the South, UCLA, so that will be tough, and at the end of the season at 2nd place, Utah. At UW. Oregon has to play the 4th place team in the North sometime, somewhere.
  11. We will never see any article like this from Washington, the Dynasty of NeverNeverland. The facts of Oregon's dominance in football, MBB & WBB in the conference is obvious everywhere but Washington. The Voice of the Huskies goes by "Softy". Softy had the misfortune of growing up drenched in purple, and it's too late to help him. But, if you're out walking, and you come upon somebody babbling, show them the way!
  12. Matt Muelbach is 1 for 1 after the Ducks took the first game of 3 they need to win to be back to back Pac-12 champs. The Ducks haven't lost to Arizona since 2018, and most recently the games have gone down to the last seconds, including OT, But even with a 7 minute drought in the first half without a basket, the Ducks led, 37-33 at halftime. Duarte finished with 22, Omoruyi had 21. Oregon shot 54.5% on 3's, 45.5% overall, outrebounded Arizona, 37-29, and a season low 7 turnovers.
  13. Yes, and he is always completely impartial. This could be because sometimes I'm not sure Bill knows, or cares, which teams are actually playing, but details, scmeetails.
  14. Will Washington only play home games again? How about, "Pac-12 After Dark"? These and other questions will be answered at 8:00 AM, Tuesday, March 2, in a 3 hour special hosted by Yogi Roth. From NBC Sports Northwest
  15. The answer to the question is YES! And it really isn't hard to do. The Trojans do have a storied past, emphasis on the past however, while the Mutts reside in Dreamland, where they're Bowed Down to.
  16. "That's the Conference Of Champions you're talking about"
  17. The wrap-up was kind to the Ducks. The hit by the leadoff batter for the Bruins technically was a double, because the RF for the Ducks came charging in on it, only to realize that if she had just backed up two feet she would have caught it, in the 7th inning she would actually drop t6he ball for a two base error, than there was the rundown between the 2nd and 3rd the Bruin baserunner escaped. Still, when the Ducks didn't make so many mistakes they beat the #1 Bruins, not bad being 9-1.
  18. There is still no doubt that Sewell will be the first offensive lineman taken in the NFL Draft. But, the latest mock drafts have the teams picking skill-position players instead, giving the Chargers, with the 13th pick, a chance to move up a few spots and reunite Sewell and Justin Herbert. From NBC Sports Northwest
  19. Oregon's freshman point guard missed season ending game against Oregon State, and the team certainly missed her, as the Beavers won. Now it appears the 4th seeded Ducks will have to find their way in the Pac-12 Tournament without her, hoping she'll be ready for the NCAA Tournament. From NBC Sports Northwest.
  20. After that mess of a loss to USC, thoughts of a championship for the Ducks seemed unlikely. But after the sweep of Stanford and Cal, the Ducks are just where they want to be. From 247sports.com
  21. Could not agree more with your analysis of the game. Apparently Paopao was wearing a walking boot, and optimistically could be ready for the next game. The Ducks certainly missed her in this one. The Beavers played a great game, the Ducks looked completely disorganized. They never seemed to have any plan offensively, so just different players taking shots, save for the 2nd quarter when Prince got the ball, and scored 18. She wasn't nearly as effective in the 2nd half. It was a sad way for Erin Boley and Lydia Giomi to have their last game at MKA end, as for new players next season:
