  1. No.9 Stanford hanging with No.1 Arizona, Wildcats lead 65-63 2ith 7:40 left in regulation,
  2. I agree with the others so far. Lanning isn't going to turn Oregon into the SEC really West school. But he can come closer than any coach Oregon has ever had. He left Georgia to come to Oregon, that alone is something he can tell recruits. Oregon will have to produce to get the top talent to come to Oregon, so getting some of the talent that is visiting this weekend is going to be huge.
  3. The Lori Loughlin scandal was at U$C too. Lori Loughlin and husband plead guilty to charges stemming from college admissions scandal WWW.NBCNEWS.COM The Hollywood power couple admits they acted illegally to get their daughters into University of Southern California.
  4. The current line is Oregon -1.
  5. The madness in the college football season to me is that as soon as your team loses a game, it's out of the CFP. In basketball it helps to win your conference, you're automatically in, but if you play well, you can still make it to the Dance. The N0.1 seeds rarely comprise the Final 4, a 12 often beats a 5, and so on and so on. Parity does exist in college basketball. It's really not even desired by the powers that be in college football, ESPN, SEC, but even Paul Finebaum knows that expanding the Playoffs is needed to keep 95 % of the teams and fans interested.
  6. Altman: "I haven't done a very good job." Dana Altman opens up about this year's struggles, places blame on himself 247SPORTS.COM Dana Altman is often considered to be one of the nation's very best college basketball coaches roaming the sidelines. It's tough to...
  7. Absolutely agree. "March Madness" is, has, always been my favorite sports time of the year, with Oregon involved or not. Many times, the Ducks have been there, so even better. The regular season of college basketball is great, the Bracketologist's start week 1. Sure, there are a group of teams always at the top. But they aren't always the same every year in the Final Four like in the CFP. Also, unlike football, there aren't a bunch of other games that nobody cares about before the championship starts. As soon as the conference season ends, the conference tournaments start, and then "March Madness" begins! I don't care who's playing, I can watch every game, and with the way they're scheduled on four different networks, you actually can watch almost every game!
  8. Very good, he and Allen are quality targets for Herbert.
  9. With Colorado playing it's first game tomorrow against the Ducks, it's good that the Ducks didn't have to expend a lot of energy in this one, opposed to Stanford who had to work a lot in their comeback win over ASU, and play No.1 Arizona tomorrow.
  10. And yes, according to Don MacLean, "This game isn't over yet"
  11. I believe that post-season wins do count.
  12. Stanford beats ASU, 71-70 in come from behind thriller. ASU led by 4 at halftime, by 10 with 7:47 left. But a 16-1 run by the Cardinal send Bobby Hurley and ASU home.
  13. There is a distinction between Husky fans and Seahawks fans, notably, I'm a Seahawks fan. Not as much recently, hello, Justin's a Charger! But I have a lot of great Seahawks memories, saw a lot of games in the 80's, Steve Largent, Kenny Easley, and of course the Mariners back in the Kingdome days. Ken Griffey Jr. Edgar Martinez. If Baseball can get played this season the Mariners will be good.
  14. I feel that a benefit of having all these top recruits together is "group mentality". They're all there together hearing the coaches, touring the No.1 facilities and Hayward Field together. That bonding can be huge.
  15. Trail Blazers fans cheered for former Husky Brandon Roy, how about Seahawks fans cheering for Marcus Mariota? Could the Seahawks pursue Marcus Mariota after trading Russell Wilson? DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota is a free agent, and the Seattle Seahawks could be suitors after dealing superstar...
