  1. 11th place Indiana just beat 3rd place Michigan State, 71-67
  2. Yep, boring game really, looks like the NBA, neither team is playing defense, just going back & forth taking open shots.
  3. Ducks still vulnerable in the paint defensively, but they're moving the ball on offense,
  4. Nate Bittle won't win the Kareem Abdul Jabbar Award.
  5. Well, we won't have MacLean, he's doing Penn State @ USC, 21 point lead for the Trojans and MacLean just said that the Ducks really need to win tonight.
  6. And you just revealed what is really wrong about college football now. The people in charge don't care about the game, they care about money. It's why the NCAA kept the story about "student athletes" so long that finally the "athletes" had had enough, and now we're in this mess. The Committee means well. All of them probably care about football like we do. But they're being used. ESPN cares more about the Rankings show than the teams and games. They want chaos, it's entertaining. No way will increasing the CFP to 14-16 teams be better for the sport, but it will bring more money
  7. Now this is an analysis I can really appreciate and it's unique to Oregon.
  8. Indiana's schedule will probably be harder than it was last season, but not by much. Athlon says it's a little bit easier than Orgon's. Ranking the Big Ten’s Football Schedules for 2025 - Athlon Sports
  9. The common suggestion is a certain number of automatic bids for each respective Power 4 conference, with many under the impression that the SEC and Big Ten would get more bids than the ACC and Big 12. Another change that Finebaum, who most people view as biased towards the SEC, wasn't in support of. “I don’t care how good you are, I think you ought to prove it,” Finebaum said. “It just smells of a level of elitism that I’m not a big fan of. The SEC and the Big Ten are always going to get a pretty large number. Listen, not only do I understand this argument, I’ve made the argument before in terms of, ‘Hey, the SEC, they go through a different gauntlet than another conference.’ “But I also just don’t like starting the season knowing no matter how good or bad your teams are, you’re going to be grandfathered in. To me, there’s something wrong with that.”
  10. I agreed with the concerns Kamikaze Kid raised and 5'10 is what I noticed first. I don't know if the Ducks need to be using the portal to bring in 5'10 DB's. 5'10 DB's are the image I'll never get out of my mind from the Rose Bowl.
  11. How many Wildcats fans are going to start watching this game at 10:00, how many of us are going to start 2 hours earlier? Northwestern vs. Oregon prediction, pick, college basketball odds CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Northwestern and Oregon battle in a matchup of two teams near the bottom of the Big Ten standings in this college basketball...
  12. Agree, unfortunately, $$$ won't let that happen. The NFL has institutional parity that allows 14 teams in the Playoffs, 6 or 8 college teams, realistically do. 4 wasn't enough competition wise, but the $$$ won't allow just doubling that.
  13. We really owe a lot of thanks to The U & MC!
  14. It will be Madness like never before, definitely agree about the Final Four, Clemson just finished stomping North Carolina, 2 days after beating Duke. Kansas is 16-7. UCLA got to the Final Four a couple of years ago, starting with a Play-in game. The Final Four could have no No.1's or be chalk. But the 4-13 match-ups won't be easy wins.
  15. No doubt the move to the B1G hit basketball a lot harder than it did football. Not only the different style, but clearly the scheduling, games on Tuesday. Wednesday, then on Sunday, much different than the game on Friday and Sunday. I don't know if they were really a No.10 team early, the shots went in, they were able to come from behind. The shotmaking definitely had them playing better, but if a team like Alabama is going to lose to an Oregon, it will be on a neutral court and early. I think the wins blotted out the deficiencies and gave the team the thought they were better than they really were. Responding to the UCLA L was promising, but then Illinois happened. The Ducks are a bubble team.
  16. Yay, Emma, another great catcher! for the Lady Ducks! One of my all time favorite Ducks...Janelle Lindvall, Catcher 2013-16 SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Janelle Lindvall (26) Catcher - CAREER STATS NATIONAL TEAM Played on the USA women's national team in the summer of...
  17. A little late to say this now, But Oregon never looked like a top 10 team, a 3 or 4 seed, but there they were. If OBD had been 11-7 instead of 15-3, probably would be seeing this season differently. 16-7 is a good record for this team. They have obvious flaws, ironically one of the biggest was starting off so well. This is when Altman's teams "find it" and go on a run. I don't know if this team will be able to do that, it has 7 games left to find out.
  18. Smith leaving still stings, it was blatantly for money, Texas gave him more $$$ that Oregon was going to, and several players went with him, I will always want Texas to lose. Lombardi struggled early just getting a team and has now got one that looks to be headed toward great success. "The Jane" rocked during the great softball years, several of the players are all time faves. Go Ducks!
  19. Auburn does still have the best record, so perhaps the voters aren't overreacting? Duke did drop from 2 to 3. UConn dropped completely out of the poll, as did Illinois, who peaked with their blowout over OBD.
  20. It's great that the Ducks can look to bring in either a WR or RB coach depending on which hat Samples wears next season, the two SEC coaches at the top of the list in the DucksWire article jump out to me.
  21. The scores did end up being similar, and both had the game appear to be closer, still 3 touchdowns' apart, than they actually were. The physicality was so overwhelming by the Buckeyes and Eagles that the game was over by the middle of the 1st quarter. I feel that in both games the winners looked like the best versions of themselves, the losers were unrecognizable.
  22. And now the scores are going to be practically identical.
  23. Okay, next year, Super Bowl 60, Detroit Lions- Buffalo Bills.
  24. Well, time for the greatest comeback in SB history?
