  1. If it isn't Washington, I saw a list that Indiana's DC is a possibility.
  2. What has me puzzled about this is that thee Ohio State University would have had no trouble matching Penn State's $$$ offer to Knowles. Instead, they let him go, to a rival, in the same conference. Now they have to go through the process of getting a DC to fill in the spot vacated by arguably the best DC...and their OC might be leaving.
  3. I was thinking a bigger drop, maybe into the 20's, NET dropped from 22 to 27. NCAA College Basketball Rankings: AP Top 25 Basketball Poll APNEWS.COM The official page for the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll. Keep up to date and view the latest NCAA men's basketball...
  4. With irrelevant statistics, how many championships the SEC has won since 1998 has nothing to do with which conference is stronger now, and if the SEC wants to say they're stronger from 12 down, go for it. I don't know how Indiana would have done playing an SEC schedule, but that's hypothetical. Alabama losing to Oklahoma, 24-3 was real.
  5. Pittsburgh Steelers went 2-0 twice, '75, '76, then, '79, 80, both times the Oakland Raiders represented the AFC in what could have been their 3rd.
  6. Should be an EPIC match-up of Undefeateds!! Oregon should be sporting a 4-0 record over Montana State & Northwestern & two OSU's, one Coached by "A Man!" the other, a Conference Champion!
  7. I think you're right on everything...except Penn State wasn't at home.
  8. Annie, I'm right there with you. While others are suffering from Chief's fatigue, a 3-peat is something I really want to see. But if the Bills had won, I'd have definitely been rooting for the Bills to finally break the Super Bowl wall. I don't bet on games either, especially fortunate the last couple of weeks.
  9. Former Oregon HC Chip Kelly is generating NFL coaching buzz SPORTS.YAHOO.COM Former Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly, the current Ohio State offensive coordinator, is generating buzz in NFL coaching...
  10. The top of the Wish List to replace Knowles at "Eleven Warriors" is Iowa DC, Phil Parker or Pete Kwiatowski at Texas.
  11. Arrogant and defensive. His B1G wins record won't get a lot of recognition.
  12. Also, the talent he had at osu2 is not at Penn State.
  13. Kirby has won as many as Franklin has played in total, DeBoer and Lanning are comprised mostly of Oregon vs Washington.
  14. I think winning the Natty was a highlight, I don't know how much beating that Oregon meant. They just beat Alabama.
  15. Nov. 1, Penn State @ Ohio State just got a lot more interesting.
  16. How does Knowles' departure affect Chip. I'm not sure the NFL tastes as great to Chip now, will be interesting.
  17. Sources - Penn State finalizing deal for Ohio State DC Jim Knowles - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Ohio State's Jim Knowles is finalizing a 3-year deal with Penn State to become the highest-paid defensive coordinator in college...
  18. He's a "legend" around here for not playing.
  19. For years, OBD have come close, so close to winning a Nattty, but a loss during the season, a QB goes down in the desert...etc., etc. Then Oregon goes B1G, goes undefeated, wins the conference championship. Only to find out this time it would have been better to have not gone 12-0, and to avoid the CCG altogether. Talk about moving the goalposts!
  20. At Oregon, it was getting messy, it was bad enough before NCAA violations, and he really wanted to coach in the NFL. Now, he's got a cushy job, doesn't have to worry about recruiting, just draws up plays for the 4 & 5 stars the other coaches bring in. It can't get better for Chip in the NFL.
  21. It sure looked that way, especially when you think about the two front ends of 1 & 1 free throws that were short.
  22. That will be the "Respect" Oregon will receive, and it's different than what they have for Iowa, and different I think than the dislike between Washington and Oregon. Ohio State didn't know Oregon existed until the Rose Bowl in 2010. Beating Oregon for the National Championship was a speed bump. But now Oregon is a worldwide brand, in their first year in the B1G, they went undefeated, beat Ohio State, and it was not viewed as lucky, instead it installed Oregon as No.1. So, yes, Ohio State really doesn't like Oregon. That was a decisive win in the Rose Bowl, but it didn't knock Oregon out.
  23. Chip Kelly receiving NFL OC interest after Ohio State stint CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Chip Kelly is back on the NFL radar. This time the Ohio State offensive coordinator is considered a top candidate for multiple...
