  1. He reminds me of Mahomes. Not necessarily the flash, but if he needed to do a no look pass, I think he could. But everybody in the stadium knows that if the Chiefs have the ball with time on the clock, they're winning. I feel the same about Gabriel and the Ducks.
  2. OBD's biggest year of dashed dreams, was 2007. Dixon was the presumptive Heisman winner; the team couldn't be stopped. But enough about that. The Ducks definitely have the hardest path to the Natty, but rather than a panic I'm feeling a calmness; the flu revelation, ironically makes me feel even better about the Ducks putting a bow on the most dominant season in college football history. Lanning's "Opportunity" outlook isn't just inspirational. I never felt as confident about those other Ducks teams to get the 'ship as I do about this team. They truly will have to beat themselves to be denied
  3. Not to be cynical, well, okay I'll be cynical, the voters went as far as Travis Hunter in the nom's for this vote, the same way they will for the Jim Thorpe DB award. On Tez, they clearly never put eyes on his play through the year or they would have seen what he did, they looked at the stats, not noticing he missed 4 games.
  4. I don't know about this UNC just fired Mack Brown, who started there, went to Texas and came back, he's 73, Belichik is 71. The NFL didn't hire him when he left New England. he's never coached a college team. We see the amount of energy Lanning and his staff put in. Is Belichick up for that? Is his name going to have recruits lining up to play football for him at Thee Basketball School?
  5. Yeah, Sux to be you This sucks. Once again, UW is at the crap end of one person's career decision. At least with this one we won't have to deal with everyone calling us Stepping Stone U. Well ok, back to the drawing board with the defense. I am going to assume Bala and Sunseri go with him ... It will be interesting to see what our defense recruits do. I am assuming they will go to UNC or Oregon. I know Lanning was after ZRS. Epperson and RDA had Oregon offers too ...
  6. Of major interest to us of course is this means the Mutts are going to have to find a new DC,
  7. Penn State has a Bye before hosting the Ducks. The Ducks play defending "Conference Champion" osu1 before going to Happy Valley, then get their Bye.
  8. On the stats, Cam Ward is the Heisman winner, fortunately, that won't happen. Gabriel has made all the plays he needed to to keep the Ducks N0.1and undefeated. His 9 yard run against osu2 meant more for the team than any 9 yards Jeanty gained in the whole season. With Hunter, the once in a generation player, on both sides of the ball, in every game, Colorado finished 9-3.
  9. Exactly, he didn't even get that right! But to the main point, another all SEC Final would be the Championship everybody wants to see? I know the SEC just Want's it MORE. But WE don't.
  10. And Finebaum isn't even the guy wrote it. Best Match-up for the Championship Game. 1. Texas v. Georgia An all-SEC national championship would ruffle feathers but it would still offer the best matchup possible. A rubber match between the Longhorns and Bulldogs is the trilogy this season deserves to end on. Georgia may have already won the series with two wins but if Texas could avenge both with a national title then that would be what everyone remembers.
  11. If I'm starting a team from scratch, I'm taking a quarterback. Every time. The QB is the most important player on the team, his decisions, the plays he makes or doesn't make, have more to do with his team winning than any other player. Gabriel has taken that to an even higher level this season, one with Heisman moments every game.
  12. There used to be a guy who would hear on the radio a few year's ago, not Phil Steele, but along those lines, and his insight was, "the teams with the best coaching & most talented players are the most likely to win." No kidding? Lanning has shown that he's at the top when it comes to making coaching moves this season. But even more than that is the recruiting. Fortunately. their aren't many coaches who are playing Chess against Lanning, and far fewer still are going to match the recruiting results. That guy was right.
  13. They just looked at the stats, never watched the games, or notice that he barely played in 4 of them, a severe lack of critical thinking.
  14. Love seeing this. "With us being on this legendary run, honestly, I’m just enjoying the legendary run. We’ll see after, I guess.”
  15. I guess they can't give it to a "Second Team" B1G receiver.
  16. I don't know what would happen. But I do know that Gabriel made play after play, in pressure situations, plays that he had to make, or Oregon loses. There were throws and runs. How many of Jeanty's runs did Boise State need to win the game. His run against the Ducks was good. Boise State lost.
  17. As the kids say now days, "That Oregon defense was SICK!"
  18. I've taken my shots at Cowherd. But he, as everybody else with a mic or a pen have, let it be known just how bad OBD got screwed by the CPF Bracket. Oregon may have to face, as the team with the best regular season, and the best CCG performance, will have to face the winner of osu2 & Tennessee, Texas and then Georgia, and Penn State gets the yellow brick road? What is going on? Penn State played Ohio State at home, and lost, played Oregon and soundly lost. How do they get an easier route, makes no sense to me!

  19. Yes, and that is why I can't stand the QB of that Iowa State team, Mr. Irrelevant himself, Brock Purdy.
  20. Way to support, Aaron Fentress!!!
  21. As the writer says, "Oregon has been the best team all season...they have as good a chance as any team to advance to the national title game" And then win it is his prediction.
  22. Tez probably doesn't show up, and what would the announcers have to talk about every game?
  23. Thanks, Jon Predicting how far the B1G’s Playoff teams will go SATURDAYTRADITION.COM Can the B1G produce a national champion for the 2nd consecutive year? We predict how far all 4 teams will go in the Playoff.
  24. Lanning set the tone immediately. We and everybody else have filled the space pointing out how totally the formers of the bracket, the conference commisioner's, not the Committee, screwed the No.1 team, OBD. But Lanning would have nothing to do with any of that. Just like the 8 game test, "miles to go before you sleep" the Ducks overcame and vanquishing yet another B1G blueblood in the redundant CCG, OBD came out on top. After this nice break before the games begin again, it almost feels like Oregon wouldn't know what to do with the easier walk to the championship that Penn State has.
