  1. The usually dependable Austin Ekeler can't find the ball for what would have been a huge catch.
  2. That was Caleb Williams, who last was at Oklahoma, and now is effectively a Free Agent.
  3. Okay, 29-22, That 3rd and 23 the Chargers gave up, leading to the PI, that led to the Raiders TD at the end of the 1st half is HUGE now!
  4. Chargers go for it on 4th and 1 from their 18, Short. Hold Raiders to a field goal, trail 20-14.
  5. Chargers get 6 yards on their 3rd and 23, miss a 51yard field goal.
  6. As most broadcasters do, Michaels and Collinsworth can't help but talk about what a great player Herbert is, both his play, and how he is a true leader, calmed the Chargers down, and took the lead. Unfortunately, he can't play cornerback too.
  7. A little shaky at the start, but behind their Pro Bowl QB, the Chargers have come back from down 10-0 to take a 14-10 lead. Of course, just when the Chargers had the momentum the Chargers defense gave up a 3rd and 23 with a minute left, allowing the Raiders to keep the ball, then a PI in the end zone, which gave the Raiders 1st and 10 on the 1. They got a TD, and now lead at halftime, 17-14. The Chargers get the ball to start the 2nd half. First touchdown 2nd touchdown
  8. If the Chargers and Raiders end in a tie, both are in the Playoffs. If one of them win, they are in, and so are the Steelers.
  9. This was a great win after the Stanford game, where the Ducks finally lost by 12, but were hardly blown out by the No.2 team in the country. This was a blow out.
  10. This was written before DeLaura transferred out of WSU, and Dart is probably the starter at USC, but what if Williams follows Riley? A real chunk of UW history crumbles if a Huard gets passed up by a transfer. Oregon? I'll go with it's wide open.
  11. I have really come to appreciate what Saban has done at Alabama. He gets the players, but he's also adjusted his X's and O's, and stayed out of the way, except for a big move like putting Tua in at halftime, of his OC's. But what is most impressive is the complete lack of complacency at Alabama, It's championship or bust every year in Tuscaloosa
  12. You'd think so, and maybe all the Riley noise is just that. But pre-season predictions are the backbone of hype and I expect to see at least a few having USC win the Pac-12 and crash the CFP.
  13. Whatever his motivation, there isn't anybody better to come out with a statement like this.
  14. Every day I'm liking Coach Lanning even more. That he's done all this while also getting Georgia's defense past Michigan and a rematch with Alabama is multi-tasking extraordinare!
  15. It takes a while to get through this list, so I'll save you the time. Oregon is No. 16. Utah is No.10, Miami is No.11? But USC is nowhere to be seen. The Trojans are actually listed in "The Next 25" along with ASU and UCLA at the bottom of the page.
  16. I like this sentiment as we really can't do anything about it. But I also agree with the practical information you brought up. The NIL $$$ is exploding now, but that won't be the norm. Big Ol Texas Booster didn't get rich throwing his money down a dry hole, and I don't see Texas winning it all with their &50,000 OL's .
  17. The Chargers D never fails to make games interesting?
  18. Justin was the ROTY last season, he's a Pro Bowl quarterback, now he has the chance to get the Chargers into the Playoffs for the first time since 2018. Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders: Who Has the Edge? Orange County Register Gilbert Manzano
  19. I feel better about Oregon's chances against Georgia than I did at any time about them beating Ohio State in the 'shoe. There's a bit of magic in the Lanning Georgia-Oregon connection, I know that Lanning will have his Oregon team fired up!
