  1. It's really true, born out by checking the myriad times undeserving west coast teams have nudged out the perennial powerhouses like Alabama, MeatChicken, tOSU and Chokelahomer for choice spots in the playoffs... Oh, wait! I'm actually amazed Oregon has been ranked as high as they are this season, given the relative lack of nationally televised coverage they have received.
  2. If, and I mean IF, Stein stick's and TT has an enormous breakout campaign next season, Stein will be the hottest OC on the market. That fete would demonstrate a massive "Mission Accomplished" moment.
  3. Oregon 42-17 2 to 3 sacks 327 yards
  4. A precise combination of surgical precision and blunt force trauma delivered by the Ducks, from coin toss to the last celebratory echoes of the day... is that too much to ask?
  5. Congratulations WaterPolo... as far as I'm concerned, yours just earned best post of the bunch!
  6. I'm grateful for this forum (Thank You ,Charles and associates!), and especially thankful to see a BALANCED Duck team!
  7. Happy Thanksgiving, ladies and gentlemen! May the football gods provide a feast for all Duck fans!
  8. Even though my stepfather was a die hard beaver, we always shared an appreciation for the Army Navy game, especially when Uncle George, his brother could join us. George was a Navy Vet, and a survivor of the Arizona, and Dad went from Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge. The rivalry was strong in those two! After the game, it was not unusual to see them hug it out, followed by bawling while watching a re-run of "White Christmas", or some other war movie, while reminiscing of comrades they'd lost.
  9. Best fuskie retort would have been to quietly hold up a nice brace of steelhead to share your joy in the occasion. Better yet, hook and land a nice one directly under his butt sniffer!
  10. Back when I was still in high school, the beavis players were trying to pick up the Great Pumpkin (for a shoulder ride), and failed to keep his patookis off the pavement... does that count?
  11. Of course the elephant in the room is Williams would have to sit out, assuming he isn't a grad transfer, correct?
  12. First thought that came into my head, as well. Not sure how much change it would be for Smith compared to the Beavz.
  13. My family has attend ed both Oregon and OSU, but I have no divided loyalty. DUCKS, all the way. My daughter was a classmate of DAT and Pharaoh Brown (she rven had an almost identical knee injury to his... not the greatest connection, eh). My son worked as an aid to Former Duck associate hc/TE coach, Neal Zoumboukus. My step dad played for Beavis, and was a rabid fan of that poor benighted program. I never quite got his love for the Great Pumpkin. Ducks by 22! Works for me!
  14. Hope Bucky gets a Jeremiah Johnson-esque, "NOOO000ooo... Get Him!!", moment, on Friday!
  15. I worked in a production facility for 20+ years, and was massively under compensated for more than half that time. I was personally producing 60+% of the daily output of the 16 man department I was associated with. Most of the disparity was created by the fact that there was no incentive for the rest of the crew to perform at a higher level, both quantity and quality wise. When management finally listened and established a profit sharing program related to those two characteristics, I was asked to be the crew foreman. I was able to show the other employees how to use that as incentive to significantly improve their position. The problem was, other departments failed to take advantage of that opportunity, and began to whine about having to work overtime to keep up with my team. Management's solution was to decide that since we unfairly took advantage of the situation, the program was canceled, and everyone fell back into mediocrity. I found someplace else to pursue my family's financial security! Sounds similar to the PAC's fate, in some ways...

  17. Hand grenades and horseshoes... And even the, almost can come up short. Execute, focus, and survive!
  18. Watching this game against U-DUH, the Beavis appear in control of nothing.
  19. Texas vs Iowa State... 3-3 at half time.
  20. 2nd and 23 is not a strong position for Penix...
  21. Dang, that snap on the punt was a kick to the castor glands!
  22. Well, FSU is no longer a threat...
