  1. I have a feeling CJS will have MSU ready for the Ducks... That doesn't mean I don't anticipate a solid performance by Oregon. IMO, the talent gap will be the deciding factor, regardless of how fired up the opponent is. no doubt in my mind, Dan Lanning is busy stoking the boiler at a fever pitch.
  2. One of the late hits was after a Ferguson reception in the endzone, and when the incident with Tez on the ground happened, the DB gave a significant twist to TJ's leg, before releasing it. SMH
  3. Addison's reaction was the epitome of 'unsportsman-like conduct'...
  4. Prayers for you and your family... My Dad turned 100 in July. I know there will be a huge hole when we can't share our experiences.
  5. Bama 30-7 vs Georgia in the first half??? Didn't see that coming!
  6. Close to PI there, but no such luck... Drones drew some groans with that pass. One more play. Mario trying to make sure he get all his time outs in! Just. In. Time. To. Lose??? NOO00oooooooooooooooo, Dangit!
  7. Related trivia, re: Ron Lee... How many pairs of NIKE basketball shoes were destroyed in practice while being torture tested by Ronnie? (I have no idea, but a (now deceased) friend of mine) was in the building to witness RL literally ripping the soles off multiple pairs in one session. I believe there was a Register Guard article written about it at the time. Authored by Bud Withers, IIRC.
  8. A Pot Metal Boiler Plate Beaver Tail Trophy.
  9. Hate to say it, but a close Purdue/Beavitch score would likely help the Duck ranking.
  10. Just, "smoke it all", and call me in the morning...
  11. So, if LGB doesn't Clout Hout in the Snout, the Ducks never identify the electrifying talent in backup positions, thus avoiding other sensational careers...
  12. Lanning has already achieved more consistent success than Brooks did in his tenure at Oregon. Patience is a virtue, but it's not easy.
  13. When my older brothers were in HS, I got to "play" ball with them... Mind you, I was a skinny, short for my age, grade school kid, while my brothers were both eventually collegiate athletes. One of my brothers was a 6'9 basketball prodigy who eventually became a 'shot doctor' for Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter. The other was a 6'6 moose. Their playmates were all bruisers, one of whom was a HS all American shooting guard. Compassion was not their strong suit. Football? "Here, kid, you hike the ball!" I was usually lined up across from the 6'5 power forward/linebacker... I bet you can guess how long that lasted! Baseball? I got to bat first, and usually was hit with a pitch or stomped trying to cover home plate... Basketball? I got a lot of pebble patterned facial abrasions trying for a lay up. Only advantage I ever had was I was always faster than all of them. Maybe the beavitch will eventually get tired of getting punched in the mouth. Don't hold your breath.
  14. Der Mario: "Thank God and Greyhound, you're gone!"
  15. As a coach, playing your arguably least talented opponent this season, what better game to give tryout to your most inexperienced center? Yes. It screws up communication on the O-line, but may be critically important later on.
  16. Says the old Offensive Lineman... It would be nice if guys like Cornelius paid attention to the little things, like positioning.
