That interception sticks in my craw more than the rest of the screwed up reffing. Wasn't there also also a $cam fumble recovered by Oregon called back? That reffing crew was a completely flustered cluck...

That was embarrassing, at best. Any decent logger knows you use the tool to the best of your ability, and let the chips fall where they may. Using a chainsaw implies bringing the wood... something the beavs rarely accomplished on a consistent basis.

As one who was chided at times for walking away from a fight, I also know that it pays to be able to stop one... Just diving in never helped as much as assessing the best way to defuse a situation, if at all possible, or figuring out a way to break it up and prevent more serious consequences. It helps to know how to effectively defend oneself, if there is no alternative, but knowing that, and the ability to know which option is best, is far more valuable than just, "gittin' in the fight.
