  1. My Grandson was hanging out the window, screaming in joy when BB hit that Homer. I think he might be a Duck fan...
  2. Dang... 1 year older than me. RIP, big fella. You may not have been a Duck, but you were true to yourself.
  3. My father-in-law was a seaman on the maiden voyage of the USS Hancock (CV-19), near the end of WW2... The flattops, even then, were large enough to allow the men to play softball on the deck. The Enterprise 2 (CVN-65) and Eisenhower (CVN-69) were considerably larger. My FIL was one of the strongest men many of the crew had seen, and found himself barred from playing after he lost more than one ball overboard when he batted. Part of the onboard training regimen involved jumping from the flight deck, into the waters below, to prepare the crew for emergencies. https://www.navsource.org/archives/02/021988.jpg
  4. The famous, "I didn't know" defense... “Shilo is the honest but unfortunate debtor looking to get his fresh start in life, free from the oppressive burden of his debts, including the default judgement to the Plaintiff,” Shilo Sanders’ attorney wrote in a court filing in February. SHEESH1
  5. Disappointing after the regular season they put together. Go DUCKS!
  6. Might have to lay this down as a $5 parlay... Might be a an incredible, history making payout! LOL (Added for clarification... wouldn't want any hardcore OBD fans to think I've completely lost my marbles!)
  7. When an idiot gets the last laugh, it often indicates something short of savant status.
  8. Kids need support, but t h ey also need to learn self control, self discipline, and how to fight through adversity on their own, among other things.
  9. I will always remember Smith for one other reason... My son was part of what was then known as, TEAMWORK", a work/study group of Oregon students who assisted the football coaches and team with various jobs around the AD (my boy was under the supervision of coach Zoumboukos). He was allowed to bring me to Oregon home games as a guest. We usually entered through the tunnel after the team on game day. The first time I became aware of the strength of Akili sr's arm was one such occasion. As we reached the mouth of the tunnel, qbs were warming up, from about the 20 yard line. AS threw a pass that the intended receiver failed to catch. It went through the end zone and nailed me about 2" above my sternum. Despite the fact I was wearing multiple layers, I found out after the game I now had about a 3" diameter bruise on my chest. Never forgot that experience.
  10. Who were they playing, a middle school powder puff team(apologies to the many talented players I knew when i actually attended those games...)?
  11. Buffing a brownie is a fine project for aspiring engineers...
  12. RIP, Duckster. Your wisdom. Wit, and insight will be missed.
  13. The Ducks have been very consistent this season, with a brief hickup or two. Time to get back to dominance!
  14. They're the ones who keep lending us their Mighty offspring!
  15. Those last two strike outs by Big Brock were impressive... Too bad he let the finalfuskie he faced slip through his fingers. Still, an outstanding performance!
  16. Hope so, cause Justin Herbert needs all the help he can get! Jerry Rice's Son Believes He & Caleb Williams Could Become Next Gronk & Brady WWW.GIVEMESPORT.COM USC wide receiver Brenden Rice is hoping to team up with his college QB, Caleb Williams, and form a super-duo in the NFL. Jerry Rice's Son Brenden Says HOF Father Was 'Hot' over His 2024 NFL Draft Slide BLEACHERREPORT.COM While most parents would be happy to see their child get drafted into the NFL, regardless of what round it happened, Jerry Rice... "I'm in the best position possible to go ahead and make my mark on and make my own legacy," Rice said. "I went from Caleb Williams to Justin Herbert, and I'm in a room that's going to allow me to compete day in and day out."
  17. The 13-6 Oregon win tonight was so much more satisfying!
  18. In 2016, the University of Oregon had an FLW Bass Fishing team. University of Oregon – Ryan Habenicht and Daniel Marshall win FLW College at Clear Lake | Bass Angler Magazine BASSANGLERMAG.COM UNIVERSITY OF OREGON WINS FLW COLLEGE FISHING WESTERN CONFERENCE EVENT ON CLEAR LAKE The... "The huge 28-8 (That's 28 lbs -8 oz) limit brought to the scale by the Oregon duo shattered the all-time FLW College Fishing record for heaviest one-day catch. The previous record was 26-15, shared by the University of Georgia and Tennessee Technological University."
  19. Doesn't the payment of bonuses involve things such as winning at a rate higher than 7-4, or, maybe winning a bowl game?
  20. The teams ranked higher in the portal recruiting are mostly getting extra credit for signing a few more (often lower ranked) transfers...
  21. Ha... Ha... HA Hahahahahahahahahahahhahhhhhh... I snorted coffee. Yeah, it burns. But it hurts Usuc more than it does me!
  22. Sadly there are a surprising number of college students, and graduates, many of them athletes, who either can not, or will not, speak the English language clearly enough, and/or express their thoughts, for a basic job interview. It may not be a popular opinion, but it is the truth, regardless of athletic prowess.
  23. Did you say "baring" their palms? Seems apropo, for a team that seems to keep coming up empty handed.
